Lyrics:
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
Discos don't open 'till after dark
And it ain't 'till twelve 'till the party really starts
And I always had to be home by ten
Right before the fun was about to begin
Crowds of people lined up inside and out
Just one reason, to rock the house
But in the day time the streets was clear
You couldn't find a good freak anywhere, 'cause
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
(The freaks come out)
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
(The freaks come out)
The freaks come out at night
Now when freaks get dressed to go out at night
They like to wear leather jackets, chains and spikes
They wear rips and zippers all in their shirts
Real tight pants or fresh mini skirts
All kinds of colors runnin' through their hair
And you could just about spot a freak anywhere
But then again, you could know someone all their life
But might not know they're a freak unless you see them at night, 'cause
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
(The freaks come out)
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
(The freaks come out)
The freaks come out at night
Now the party's jumpin', the place is packed
And when the crowd's like this, I'm ready to rap
But before I could bust a rhyme on the mic
Freaks are all over me like white on rice
Freaks come in all shapes, sizes and colors
But what I like about 'em most is that they're real good lovers
They do it in the park, they do it in the dark
But most freaks are known for breakin' hearts
You could never tell what a freak was thinkin' of
And you may never catch a freak without at least one glove
And they don't walk, when they step, they strut
And nine times out of ten they drive you nuts
But take my advice, you don't stand a chance
Freaks are so bad they got their own dance
So if you want to live a nice quiet life
Do yourself a favor, don't come out at night, 'cause
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
The freaks come out at night
(The freaks come out)
The freaks come out at night - Hudba

Nothing can touch 70's-90's rap music.
That's true, even though I'm a 80s baby. I show respect to music around that time frame. Idk about this generation now days, every rapper wants to sound like migos and not have their own style.
@ً f your generation tbh

@@mikeinwtby The 80s rocked long live the Rubicks cube, Max Headrum, Sony walkmans and roller skates carried over from the 70s. So gad that my early school days were then. I'd hate to be a child now in this fake, materialistic culture. Keeping it real.
yup yup!!!!
The majority of my friends listened to skid music but i listened to rap, alternative and reggae back in the day. This was a HUGE club tune in the late 80's.
Jermaine Dupri dancing in the beginning is crazy. Wow he been in the Hip Hop game for a looooong time from the essence of it to now, True Living Legend
R.I.P John 'Ecstacy' Fletcher of the pioneering rap group, Whodini.

One of the dopest tracks ever released, I recall living in compton when this came out. Reminds me of Eazy-E who lived across the street, Eric had "Freaks come out at Night" Written on his side windows of his Candy Gold Painted VW Bug!! He'd come down our street bumping this song like everyday.... RIP Eric Wright

This was the jam in the 80's and it still sounds great!!
IT'S STILL SOUNDING SO FRESH!!! LIKE IT JUST CAME OUT.... WOW 🎶
For sure
@DeLux Tv: this is quite simply a timeless jam! I was born in 1980, but the youth of 2022 are still bumping this song, and so will the youth of the year 3000. It's simply one of the Divine Masterpieces that resulted from one of the best decades of hip-hop!! 😊
That song still sounds good 😂❤
Man this always takes me back ...glad to have been a B boy in the 80s
This song is fascinating when you really put your ear to it. The rhythm carries the melody throughout the entire song. Yet it's never repetitive or overbearing. There's a lot going on within the instrumentation as well as the vocal performances in every section of the song. No part is exactly the same. Everything in this WHODINI song just seems to totally click. Great composition and recording. It's a masterpiece of our BLACK Musical culture
Whodini's best song imo
Timeless
That's because Whodini didn't just rap, they crafted songs.
Back in the day when rappers were actually musicians. Today, Too many make it big with very little talent
Is race that necessary?
Back when Rap was Fun and relatable to everyone and not offensive.
So glad, I grew up in this Era to experience the Real pioneers!!
God Bless your Soul, Ex. I love you.
My condolences.
True.
Truth Indeed AMEN

I still totally love this song. The smooth moves, no cussing, and these brothers are much classier than modern day times. "Fresh mini skirts" "Freaks are so bad they got their own dance". LOVE IT!
Lol, yea rap had kinda changed. This reminds me of me and my brother getting our 3 speaker jam box, finding 46 D batteries and jamming on the front porch for at least 20mins before the batteries went dead. Love it and thanks for the memories!

I was 20years old when this song came out this is when music was good i am 59 years young and still listing to this song today i listen to this song every day yes the freaks do come out at night
The man who produced this was Larry Smith. He passed away on Dec 19, 2014 in a hospital where he could not walk or speak because of a stroke. Yet, his name seems to be never mentioned when it comes to producers. RUN-DMC'S Sucker Mc's was all him, Whodini's Freaks come out at night was all him. Whodini didn't even give him a shout out when they received their Hip Hop Honors performing songs he created. The only person who I see give him his props in the industry is DMC. #RIP Larry Smith, you made me fall in love with Hip Hop
dam rip
did not know. thanks for sharing.
JEFF DAHM peace to larry lah.it probably wasnt intentional brohammer head
JEFF DAHM
I second that. He is a legend. He is that type legend that will get his credit 100 years to late. Very similar to Rick James never getting the credit he deserved. Larry Smith set the foundation for modern day hip hop basslines.
JEFF DAHM Jalil speaks of him very fondly
