Lyrics:
Army with harmony
Dave drop a load on 'em
OPP, how can I explain it
I'll take you frame by frame it
To have y'all jumpin' shall we singin' it
O is for Other, P is for People scratchin' temple
The last P... well... that's not that simple
It's sorta like another way to call a cat a kitten
It's five little letters that are missin' here
You get on occassion at the other party
As a game 'n it seems I gotta start to explainin', bust it
You ever had a girl and met her on a nice hello
You get her name and number and then you feelin' real mellow
You get home, wait a day, she's what you wanna know about
Then you call up and it's her girlfriend or her cousin's house
It's not a front, F to the R to the O to the N to the T
It's just her boyfriend's at her house (Boy, that's what is scary)
It's OPP, time other people's what you get it
There's no room for relationship there's just room to hit it
How many brothers out there know just what I'm gettin' at
Who thinks it's wrong 'cos I'm splittin' and co-hittin' at
Well if you do, that's OPP and you're not down with it
But if you don't, here's your membership
[Chorus]
You down with OPP (Yeah you know me), you down with OPP (Yeah you know me)
You down with OPP (Yeah you know me), who's down with OPP (Every last homie)
You down with OPP (Yeah you know me), you down with OPP (Yeah you know me)
You down with OPP (Yeah you know me), who's down with OPP (All the homies)
As for the ladies, OPP means something gifted
The first two letters are the same but the last is something different
It's the longest, loveliest, lean- I call it the leanest
It's another five letter word rhymin' with cleanest and meanest
I won't get into that, I'll do it... ah... sorta properly
I say the last P... hmmm... stands for property
Now lady here comes a kiss, blow a kiss back to me, now tell me exactly
Have you ever known a brother who have another like ah girl or wife
And you just had to stop and just 'cos he look just as nice
You looked at him, he looked at you and you knew right away
That he had someone but he was gonna be yours anyway
You couldn't be seen with him and honestly you didn't care
'Cause in a room behind a door no one but y'all are there
When y'all are finish, y'all can leave and only y'all would know
And then y'all could throw the skeleton bones right in the closet do'
Now don't be shocked 'cos if you're down I want your hands up high
Say OPP (OPP) I like to say with pride
Now when you do it, do it well and make sure that it counts
You're now down with a discount
[Chorus]
This girl ah tried to OPP me, I had a girl and she knew that
matter-of-fact my girl was partner's that
Had a fall out, disagreement, yeah an argument
She tried to do me so we did it in my apartment, bust it
That wasn't the thing it must have been the way she hit the ceiling
'Cause after that she kept on coming back and catchin' feelings
I said, "Let's go my girl is coming so you gotta leave"
She said, "Oh no, I love you Treach" I said, "Now child please"
You gots to leave, come grab your coat, right now you gotta go
I said now look you to the stairs and to the stairwindow
This was a thing, a little thing, you shouldn't have put your heart
'Cause you know I was OPP, hell from the very start
Come on, come on, now let me tell you what it's all about
When you get down, you can't go 'round runnin' off at the mouth
That's rule number one in this OPP establishment
You keep your mouth shut and it won't get back to her or him
Exciting isn't it, a special kinda business
Many of you will catch the same sorta OPP is you with
Him or her for sure is going to admit it
When OPP comes, damn-- skippy I'm with it
[Chorus]
Break it down! - Hudba
IF YOU'RE LISTENING THIS IN 2024 YOU ARE A REAL OG
I am 🙌😎

Our time back in the day ☮️ music and love
Call me “old” if you want to, but this was back when hip hop was fun, and you could actually understand what they were saying.
You know it!
Speaking the truth! 😉
Agree!
Hardly any hip hop around now. It’s just rap to the same shit beats. Well, I say rap, but it hardly ever rhymes; so what’s that about???
Music and WORDS you can actually understand this my jam 🎸
The 90s were so special. Those who didn’t experience it just don’t understand, rap music was so authentic.
I was born in 1994 and I couldn't agree more.
Miss this music and the early ninetees.
Yea and I was also into grunge rock.. what an era my dudes.
@@susanisrael9779 An era that made me listen grunge and hip hop at same time.
Period
Before autotune ruined rap. I miss being a teen in the 90s where's my fellow gen x'ers at?!?

Everything changes over time like me and yourself with families and that, but 10 seconds of this banger takes me straight back to the 90's ;) Also fair play Maria, you got a like from NBN themselves, id be proper buzzin with that 🤗🤩

Today's so called rap/hip hop will NEVER be The 80's, 90's rap/hip hop. This isn't old school. This is Real School!
Today's rap wish it could be this fly. But they just can't make it.
Try remembering today's crap for the next 30 years like this Masterpiece has stood it's ground and forever will remain History.

I like the old school rap. It never gets old
Christina of course my horse lol
So ture
Christina Is it just me, or is music like this gone FOREVER? I mean, I haven't heard anything like this since the early 2000s. What happened to music like this? The awesome hip hop, the smooth R&B, like R. Kelly, Jodeci, and the like? I don't even listen to today's music. All there is on the radio is pop, and pop country, and rap. And it all just sucks!! I listen to music from the 90s, and earlier, back to the 70s. Anything past the early 2000s, is just horrible! Today's music all sounds the same. I can't tell one female pop singer from the others. It doesn't seem like there are as many bands and singers like there were back in the 90s. We had countless numbers of bands. Music festivals back then were amazing too. I went to a lot Lollapalooza festivals in the 90s. The list of bands were endless, it seemed! I am so glad I grew up the decades I did. If I was a kid now, I would be so pissed about how music just sucks now, and is NOTHING like how it was back in the 80s and 90s!
Absolutely!
We can understand the words .still jamming too this in 2018
Treach is the reason everyone want to be a rapper, GOD I love the 90s
Damn I miss the 90s so bad. Great music good people and good times with friends and family.

If you are jamming to this in 2020/2050 you have great taste and you're family.
I'm still at it in 2020
The first time I heard this song, I didn't exactly hear it...I was watching an American television programme called "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"...as the opening music to the song played, it showed a shot of the kitchen and the pots and pans were swaying back and forth to the beat. Then Will Smith walked in and said, "Hey Geoffrey! You down with O.P.P.? And Geoffrey responded, "Yeah...you know me". And although I didn't get the reference, it made me laugh.
And I really *liked* the beat. Later I heard the actual song, and thought it was brilliant. The only thing is, any time I hear this song, I pretty much always think about that television programme as well.
DAMN RIGHT. CAN YOU DIG IT? IM LISTENING RIGHT NOW.
