    Thank you that was much appreciated. I just bought a solace yesterday and would like to see more videos on it. We tried the shower last night, but couldn’t figure out how to get the water hot. Would love to see more solos videos, Where can I find them?

      Ensure the propane is on, then select boost on the truma panel, wait about 10 minutes and that seems to work for us. The hot water only stores about 2 gallons, so use it sparingly.

    A little late to the part here, but are you able to mount the nozzle in any way or do you need to hold it the entire time? Does the back of the van get wet much from over-spray?

    • @CarolinaCampervan
      @CarolinaCampervan  Před rokem +2

      Hi, we just hold the nozzle, because it is more of a spray, then wash, then spray off. However, I bet there could be a way to mount it. We don't get any overspray, but you do have to be aware of where you are spraying the hose, it could easily spray into the van if not careful.

    Can that shower curtain be used to section off the driver front area instead of using the windshield covers.

    • @CarolinaCampervan
      @CarolinaCampervan  Před 3 lety +2

      Yes, there are some small screw heads where you can attach the included magnets to hang the black curtain to separate the cabin from the coach. Thanks!

    Hey man, awesome videos. Do you ever feel like you need more AC in the back on hot nights, or does the normal AC cool the whole place pretty well when stationary? Also, are there ever times where you really wish you had a generator? Trying to be economical but I don't want to regret not springing for a px. Thank you!

    • @CarolinaCampervan
      @CarolinaCampervan  Před 2 lety +2

      I have never felt that we needed a generator. We don't use too many appliances though and we do have a goal zero that we bring along incase we need it. For the first year, we just used the max air fan and a boundless breeze fan and traveled to cooler locations- and this worked perfectly for us. However, this year, with this summer heat we felt the need to add a portable AC. It will work out great for us, because the majority of the places we go in the summer have access to shore power. If I had to do it again, I would go with the P 100%. But that is a personal choice based on our travel locations. Do you plan on staying at parks or boondocking most of the time? Will you be in cooler or warmer temps? I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions! I don't think you could go wrong with either :)

    Do you store the wet shower curtain inside the bathroom until it dries off?

  • @bassmonk2920
    @bassmonk2920 Před 3 lety +1

    Whats the longest shower you have taken.....can you guesstimate how many gallons.

    • @CarolinaCampervan
      @CarolinaCampervan  Před 3 lety +4

      I would say 4 gallons or so is the longest. We try to keep it shorter than that. We try to get at least 3 days out of the shower with 2 people; so 6 showers. Just be cautious of running the water when you don't need to; ie rise off and then turn the water off, lather up, then turn the water back on to get all the soap off. When you take a shower at a house after you've been traveling in a van, you feel so guilty about wasting all that water! Thanks for the question, Jason.

  • @user-jc7qq7tz9w
    @user-jc7qq7tz9w Před 3 lety

    When you use the shower unit to dry clothes, do you keep the door open? I don’t see vent in the unit so I guess that what you usually do.

    • @CarolinaCampervan
      @CarolinaCampervan  Před 3 lety +1

      There’s actually a vent located near the bottom of the shower. So if you have the heater on then it will dry faster with the door closed. Thanks, Jason
