Any of the holding tank treatments will do the job. Personally, I use the Thetford Aqua line. You can use half the bottle. Lasts longer.

I can’t imagine the cassette toilet is anything but a potential nightmare. I have also noticed many rest stops do not allow them to be dumped. I’m sure they have had spills.

5 gallons is not light, but if you can manage, the process is definitely convenient.
