This is the Skyrim version of the old D&D meme where, instead of exploring the dungeon, the PCs just get a bunch of Decanters of Endless Water, stop up all the entrances/exits and drown all the monsters by flooding the dungeon.
How do you get the loot from the dungeon then? Also does the rich man still want the waterlogged books and scrolls?

Can't you do the same with the frost cloak or no
But isn't there a perk that increases fire damage even more?
*snaps fingers
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
There's a mod that makes it so that, if you kill an enemy with a flame spell of significant strength, it just turns the body into a pile of ash.
I think that fits Spiff's style nicely.
Or you could use the lightning cloak and the related perk that does just that.
why do that when lightning did just fine?
It's like SCP-053 where everyone that act hostile to the SCP-053 died from heart attack
The Requiem mod has an illusion spell called Phantasmal Miasma that temporarily massively lowers the HP of any creature in the area who is hostile to you. Functionally speaking, it looks exactly like weak enemies simply have a heart attack as you approach them.
Everyone's always arguing who launched the nukes first in Fallout. In reality, it was Reanu Keeves using 1% of his power while descending upon Tod's new perfectly-balanced creation.

This is probably my favourite exploit, there's nothing quite like the terrifying cold efficiency of using a supercharged frost cloak to knock multiple dragons out of the sky. I will say using this spell makes you feel like a monster in a horror game. With a bit of math you could het a general idea of how far it would be, if the base diatance is say 10 meters you could do 10+ xxxxx% and you'd have your value
@@nickhenley1338 A good thought, but it likely wouldn't tell you the truth. Most open world games rely on draw distance affecting whether or not npcs can be interacted with. Which saves a ton of memory and processing power, and it is usually functionally indistinguishable for the player as you rarely try to kill or even interact with things beyond your visible range. However, if that is the case, and it most likely is, then you have a range cap on the spell. Although, that probably makes the spell much more powerful on pcs than consoles if you can adjust the draw distance. But what this means is that except for cracking open the game code and seeing where it draws the line, the only way to really get an idea of the range is to test it by... firing it up, then seeing how far the farthest corpse is. one thing about range in skyrim: effects are limited to the area/cell that's currently loaded. In the open world that's actually a very small area, so unless you move you won't be killing anyone with this OP flame cloak that's outside the rather limited draw distance (which is something like 100-200 meters at best)
"why would anyone want it?" Well, it's pretty decent as a pre-battle buff to throw before entering a room with lots of dudes with pointy things, even if you're not a magician at all. Passive tick damage is underrated here, and 8 base damage PER TICK is nothing to sneeze at for most things, barring dragons who are usually heavily resistant to fire damage anyway.
Also, with some survival mods running, it warms you (duh), so you wont freeze to death while jumping over icebergs naked.
Decent for fire battlemages. Drop a flame cloak, drop some fire walls under the baddies feet, damage stacks pretty quick. Fevvy does a legendary firemage build early build that I've tried.

😂🤣😂🤣😂 your commentary is so funny I'm dying over here lol
Cloak spells are really interesting from a modding/data mining perspective.
See, all spells have a Magnitude, Area, and Duration value that can be modified. Magnitude is how powerful the spell is, Area is how wide the effect is, and Duration is how long the effect lasts. But with cloak spells, the Magnitude is actually the range of the effect, basically functioning as the Area value. The actual damage comes from a linked spell within the cloak's Magic Effect.
And because of how potions work, a potion that changes the Destruction Power modifier will affect the magnitude of every Magic Effect that's tagged with the Destruction Magic Skill, even spells the player can't directly cast, like the linked spell that deals the actual damage of the cloak.
I remember doing this while clearing a forsworn camp. It knocked a dragon out of the sky that was not near me at all. Potions can manipulate everything in the game. Your shouts are all governed by a school of magic, and can be exploited the same way.
Slow time is Alteration for example. That's one of my favorites, you can literally extend slow time past the shout recharge time with a sufficiently powerful store-bought alteration potion.
@@rustyjones7908 so what you're saying is that if Spiff ever decided to have Keanu Reeves use this shout, it would instead stop time for all eternity.
@@theendersmirk5851 I mean, I'm pretty sure Reanu Keeves can just do that, but theoretically yes.
10:40 I know the metaphor, but considering the range you're talking about, I wouldn't be surprised if the flame cloak in Skyrim could actually reach the map of Oblivion
Without a doubt if you could load every enemy onto the map at once and have a potion eith a high enough value without crashing it for sure would delete half the continent or more, might even touch morrowind
@@nickhenley1338 morrowind is bordering Skyrim
that's cyrodiil
@@meldembinski3274 No, he is talking about the actual Daedric dimension of Oblivion.
isn't this how oblivion got its name. from the reanu nuke. or was it the oblivion crisis
I love doing this so much. My potions were made for only about a 2000% increase though because I love watching the health bars go down as I walk along. Sometimes they die just before they get to me and I just smile.
After dual casting the cloak spell, hold another dual casting afterward. It increases the damage and range of the first cloak.

I’d be quite surprised if you couldn’t beat skyrim if you were a literal nuke
But at what cost...
@@thespiffingbrit deleting your own channel?
At the point the only real challenge is are there any ways you can't beat skyrim that don't require mods.
@@thespiffingbrit well, considering how expensive nukes are, probably a lot
Now this is power leveling.

You have excellent taste
I actually used Dawnbreaker a lot, when you have 100 one-handed it makes vampires and the like easy-peasy. Obviously I have learned more effecient ways of killing from your video, but that sword is special to me :D
Yeah, but Dawnbreaker is actually easily usurped by the Dawnguard rune axe. 120+ sun damage to undead with no enchantment to recharge and all you have to do is kill 120 skeletons with it after smithing it
This is just wonderful, game breaking fun!

@@Malkontent1003 the realm is tamriel
@@andrewgreeb916 I uh. I think you missed the joke. Oblivion isn't Tamriel.
@@andrewgreeb916 Well actually the realm Nirn (Tamriel is a continent on Nirn) is in, is called Mundus. Oblivion is a separate realm that is governed and split into territories by lesser deities known as the Daedric Princes.

He legitimately just Thanos-Snapped the entire world of Skyrim. I mean even the little speech he gave "Everything is dead. Only the butterflies remain." like wasn't there a butterfly in that scene, or am I just going crazy and misremembering it? LMFAO 😂🤣😂

Sounds Indian to me.
Spiff... I'm not convinced... 16:29 into the video (yes I watched this masterpiece to the end) there was an enemy STILL ALIVE !!! Showing as a red dot on your HUD at the top of the screen, ultimate power? I think not.
This is utterly terrifying and I love it
Do you ever get the feeling that everytime The Brit puts up a Skyrim video, the devs of Skyrim start to cry.
I think at this point it's more a dead-eyed sigh of resignation.
Crying all the way to the bank after managing to releasing Skyrim for the 100th time
Don’t worry, Todd can smear the tears away with a few of the many, many used dollar bills this game have him access to.
Nah. It was their own fault for leaving every glitch in that didn't literally break the game (in other words, cause it to crash on first use) or "make it unfun," as TV Tropes put it. They wouldn't be crying, they'd probably be going, "Oh, he found that one, did he?! He looks like he and his beverage mates are having fun with it...!"
@@joshuaclaassen9325: At this point, I'm wondering which is glitchier, Skyrim or GoatSim? And which of those is _intentionally_ glitchier?
