  • Here's a nice little feature for auto-dimensioning in Revit using some out of box functions. For more free Revit training, check out www.evolvelab.io/memberships

Bill, Its too often we revert to a addin, plugin, dynamo to do routing tasks that are enabled OOTB. I have used RTVTools for a long time, and where it was extremely powerful was that the three levels of dimensioning were done by indicating the start and end elements, it provided the overall, the openings in the elevation and the internal walls / grids at an offset to the main element. But a little three step, is possible to do the same. Nice one.

Cool, is there a way to snap the dim in a specific length please?
Like in AutoCAD, so all the dims look consistent and neat please?

This doesn't work for elevations and sections. Any other method of quick dimensioning in those views?

If I have a steel profile with bolts and holes, how can I detail that bolt's holes?

Hi Smint, Dimensions, Tags, and Text should work.
