    Hey how are you? Itchy bug buddy Roy again, I know this isn't actually the right CZcams podcast did I was watching before with a butterfly softening and all relaxing rather, but I just wanted you to know that the other day when you taught how to relax butterflies and moths that tonight I use that method to relax a tiny tiny butterfly, very tiny! And it seems to be working very well so I just wanted you to know that it actually somebody did take your advice and actually tried it and it does work without a doubt! Thank you again your bug buddy Roy!

    That one you found at 11:10-11:15 with the white V pattern is very cool. Any idea what the temperature was that day? It's in the mid 40s locally. I just discovered isopod colonies as a hobby and I'm dying to go search and catch some!!!!

    The ones with gold dots are Armadillidium granulatum most likely

    • @svscteam

      I have a culture of them most look exactly like a. vulgare it’s very hard to see the bumps that granulatum are supposed to have

    • @siyg
      @siyg Před 6 měsíci +1

      The ones with yellow flecks are definitely Armadillidium vulgare. There is plenty of variation in the species and they can have gold markings. Granulatum are typically a lighter grey and are rougher/have bumps

    23:21 In this scene, the quick moving isopod on the bark which is flat and has the protruding uropods looks like a Porcellio laevis. They usually outcompete the regular roly polies (Armadillidium vulgare) so I would recommend removing them.

    21:30 This has a striking resemblance to a morph of Porcellionides PruinoSUS, called “Powder Blue”. Or it could be Porcellio Laevis.
