    Great video Coach! Thanks! I just finished my second season with my Fliteboard. I live on Lake Michigan and love the ride. I have two batteries and sprung for the flow s wing set which I like. I tired the true glide prop but was not a fan as I have to swim further to my board on wipeouts and I don’t really ride waves here. In fact I fell off while coming into the dock and with that prop the board just kept going and smashed into the metal pier and crushed the nose during my first season. Your video reminded me of the process I went thru learning how to repair it. Watched a ton of fiberglass repair vids on utube and I was back out on the water in a couple days. I have the wood grain so it was challenging to match but in the off season I made it look pretty and it looks great now and unique. I’ll have to make a video of the repair. I have a tiny channel with some good shorts of my rides. Thanks for all you do! If I’m ever in Massachusetts I’m bringing my board and looking you up! 🏄🏻‍♂️🤙🏼 “ Be good to each other!”

      Im so sorry for the delay...I thought ia had replied to you but apparently not...First of all thank you for the kind words...Good to know that the Chanel is helpful....Yes the S series are fun...but you got to check out the Jet 1500...I hear they are working on more wings for 2024 so dont buy anything yet lol...The jet has much more glide so you can actually "wakethief" any boats around you...a lot of glid...You got to get a nose guard...especyally if you are using a dock most the time...here is a link that might help you pick some things....Thank you again and yes!...if you ver come to Boston please let me know and If I ever got o Michigan I'll give you the heads up (Ive been there before and I know it can get very crazy sometimes lol) Be safe bud and happy 2024.

    Wicked crash coach glad you are on the mend. I had my acl and meniscus repaired 3yrs ago. On my 2nd season riding fliteboard. I had a decent swim back this weekend myself. Removed the prop guard and riding flyer 800. In about 20ft water going about 19MPH my prop blew apart 2 wings gone and huge face plant. long swim back with the help of a jet skier for the last half. Not sure if I hit a fish or the prop failed? Anyway put on a spare prop and finished the ride but bruised ego😂. Look forward to more of your videos!

      Hello bud...glad that you like the video. For sure you hit a fish...I hit school of fish all the time...and you can actually tell the size...sometimes you feel this vibration all over your wing and you loose lift...these are "minos" or tinny little fish...them you hit "golf ball" size fish and that is kind funny cause you just fell like you riding a bumpy road with your car but no lift loss...finally sometimes you just feel a "tump" next thing you know you plant your face in the water...that is a big fish hitting your wing my friend ...in your case it hit the prop lol. That is why I always cary my bag with me...there I have my cell, tons of thing and even my extra prop with the tools...One day I was riding with a student and he lost control of his board and it came flying to me and broke my prop (I removed the video cause I don't want t scare people lol)...however lucky I had my extra prop with me and I did the change right in the meddle of the river without a problem...not an easy task but deff a life safer...I record you to do the same...here is a link to the bag and the stuff I carry with me.... czcams.com/video/58S15CecYuM/video.html and czcams.com/video/mabBzXAB_3A/video.html ... Please stay tuned for more videos...Ill be doing a review on the new "fiber glass boards soon"...them I head to San Fran for the Fliteboarod Show...thank you again for watching and please subscribe....Be safe other man.

    Wow, Coach! Please get better fast so we can all keep learning! John certainly has amazing skills. I was wondering, though, after such major repairs on a high-precision instrument like Fliteboard, how is everything re-measured or re-calibrated post-repair so that the precise angles of the mast, the wings, the shims, etc, are all back to correct, original positioning? Feel better soon, Coach! Have a great trip to SF (I went to school there @ CAL Berkeley). You will love it there. Note: I highly, highly recommend Sharkbanz, 1 wrist, 1 ankle for Fliteboarding in the Bay. Those waters are notorious for very large Great Whites. Thank you for another video to enhance our Fliteboard network! Robby of Maui

      Now I'm scared to get in the water in San Fran lol...I try the board afterwards and it is fine...there is a minimum elevation of the "box"...maybe like 3cms but is nothing...He kept all leveled and straight so once you put the mast on all is in perfect place...except the extra "3cms" lol...But is deff a great fix. ... But the best solution is not to make the same mistake lol. Thank you for the feed back...Im so mad for not be able to walk yet but still around mid 40 and 50s here...but I hope by the end of may ill be in the water...Be safe bud and have fun.

    Happy Easter Coach! Sorry to see your leg and board issues. I got my negative shims and really like them. Also got my second battery and Flow 1100 wing. That wing is tricky. Not sure I like it yet. Just wanted to point out a mistake I made that damaged my board that you can warn people about. I use to flip the board over using level one power to launch it in the air after a ride while in chest deep water but one time it didn’t flip but instead went straight up in the air and came straight down and the tail hit the bottom and bent the metal rod that slides into the mast that has the little stabilizer wing on it. The level 2 negative shim corrected the bend enough to ride a few times until the new part arrived. I just hit number four for the week on the app for most miles. The 3 ahead are schools and rental boards so I’m really the number 1 person for today! Just ahead of Simon.

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Před rokem

      Hey bud...good to know you got your negative shims...tehy do make a great difference on riding specially if you are going fast...Congrats on your 4th place...yes the flite schools really does a damage on our numbers...I wish they could consider doing something about that. In regard your "damage/mistake"....I spoke about that on 2 of my videos....But I bent them the same way as you but going through the brakes as a wave shoot me up and the board came down on its tail...so I tell people to be careful on shallows to avoid the waves and wait until is deep enough to stand up....Im not a big fan of the flow 1100 either...I like the flow S 900...but my favorite all around wing is deff the 800...I cant wait to try the new 1500 jet wing...I hear good things about it...so once I get my hands in one of them ill post a video....Thank you for the feed back and the pointers you gave me...Be safe other bud.

    OMG, so thats what happened in Florida. Looks like a good repair. It must have been a difficult swim to shore with the mast hanging by the power cables and flopping all over the place. Any water intrusion into the battery? Sorry to see that you injured your knee. When are you going to tour the Fliteboard factory? I live one hour from the factory and I would like to tour it as well. Let me know if I can join you on your tour of the factory. I graduated to a pro board a month ago and I’m loving it. I got a fiberglass board and now I’m worried that when I bottom out the fiberglass board might blow apart because it may not be as strong as a carbon fiber board 🙄

      Not sure if I reply to you before or not… I saw your comment snd apparently the reply did not go through. Yes it was a bad situation to swim back but lucky nothing was bad with the battery… it goes to show that flite is a really good product… I’ll be heading out to San Fran on the 21st and coordinate with them and see what is up. There will be a shoe as well on the 24/25 so I’m looking forward as well. I’ll keep you posted as to what is going on with the Flite HC. Cheers

      I had a bad crash a month ago when I hit something under water. It happened so fast I wasn’t able to clear the board. I hit the board with my right leg and suffered a grapefruit sized hematoma. I’m out probably for another month but I’m walking fine and able to do my stretching routine now. Hematoma is small mango size now and I still get a twinge of pain every once in a while but really missing efoiling especially when we have a warm day.

    • @Coach_Rolando

      Yeah bud… rinding in the shallows and dark water can be hard… that is why I choose open water and clear what’re if I can… I got several major tear 1 in my bodybuilding career …. Nothing major but very ugly to look at and not fun who it feels…. Try rondo sone balance move so your stabilization muscles stay strong. Use the “bosu ball” and stand on its flat size and balance yourself.. you will be fine bud. Be safe

      @@Coach_Rolando thanks mate, yes I'm loving my series 3 Pro. I need to get my filming and editing skills up. My first video was pretty rough, but the good news is I have plenty of room for improvement 🤣 I'm planning on travelling to Byron Bay in June and go and visit the good folks at Fliteboard HQ. David Trewern has agreed to do and interview with me, so I'm looking forward to that but a little nervous. At the moment I am debating whether I should install the foot straps on my pro board or not? Have you had any experience using foot straps on a Fliteboard?

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Před rokem +1

      Great man… is just a matter of time… the more videos you make the better you become. Please say hello to David for me, I chat with him just a few times on IG. As regard the foot straps… if you are riding slow I don’t see a problem because if you fall at low speeds I don’t see any problems… but for sure if you like to ride fast I would not use the straps cause you could easily hurt you ligaments in a fall due to the weight of the board if your foot gets stuck on the straps or dint have time to take your feet out.

    • @felixVanDiemen
      @felixVanDiemen Před rokem +1

      @@Coach_Rolando thanks for the advice I really appreciate man! I don't ride that fast about 25kph so I might end up fitting the foot straps, still thinking about it. I'll definitely say hi to David from you and I'll tell him what a great influence you are in the Fliteboard community.

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Před rokem +1

      @@felixVanDiemen That is fine...if you are not riding too fast and at your speed is safe enough and for sure you will get much better at carving...but I'm sure you agree with me that if you were going fas and fall with your feet stuck on the strap could be dangerous. Cant wait to see the video of you and David...thank you for the kind words bud and I look forward in seeing your video. be safe bud.
