Lewis repairs the second time machine, confronts Doris in the past, and destroys her by promising to never invent her. Doris is then wiped out of existence, causing the future to be restored along with Wilbur. Upon seeing Goob, Wilbur immediately attacks him and tells Lewis to get help, but the latter tells him to adopt Goob. When the two try to do so, they can't find him.
