Use fan for air extraction, your gun is positive pressure. Gun and fan bringing air in will pressurise your tent allowing overspray to hang in the air. you need fan to be slightly more negative than your gun pressure so it pulls overspray towards your filter, your filter without the fan will then act as an in bleed bringing in clean air ( no dust).
I looked at the PVC options and your video came up in the search! Looks heaps easier and better for usability. So Ive bought similar bits to create this... wish me luck!

Thank you! I would recommend using a higher power fan and a couple more air filters holes going out to increase the airflow. I would definitely have the garage door open the whole time using it, it airs out pretty quickly after painting with the door open. My main concern was to trap all the overspray instead of risking it get onto vehicles and neighbours houses if I were painting out in the open.
@@TenmillGarage did the single fan create enough airflow for you to be able to see and breathe in there? I mean obviously you wear a mask. Just curious if additional fans would help. painted a vehicle in my garage and it worked ok, but would be nice to have something a little more contained like this.
I think you set the fan in a wrong direction, the fan should drive the air out but not blow the air in, and there is a filter in front of it, there almost no air flow in the booth
Use plastic, throw it away after done. Tarp will have dust etc accumulated on it over time. Thanks for the vid

No, you want the tent positive pressure so it keeps the dust out. The fan should blow in with a filter on the fan.

@@DirectDoorHardware It was enough for the few parts I painted, I would want more fume extraction for painting a whole car for sure.

Negative pressure will contain the overspray. Positive pressure will keep the dust out.
