My father still has one of his grandfather’s hunting rifles, and he has his own father’s revolver after he passed.

And again since we dont see the car we dont know what transpired outside that set it off, unlikely to have been a gust of wind though, more likely someone accidentally crashed into the back of her car in the parking lot.

Dude one of my grandmas friends had a similar story. When the friends husband died there was a similar “firearm return” where you could get some money from returning them. She brought in like 30 firearms. Just imagine a little old lady waddling in with these two large bags filled with different handguns. There was a 2 gun limit so she told the officers “I’ll be back” and went back every day until all of the firearms were gone

There is no national firearm registry. So all firearms are unregistered, when you fill out a 4473 for an ffl transfer, it exists as a record of sale and can only be retained for a set period of time.
