All I can say is, I’m not quite ready for a new switch, but I will welcome a new switch provided I can continue to play my current switch games on it with backwards compatibility.

I be ok with LCD if it as good as the Sony portal and ally rog 8” which are beautiful.
I am ok with it not having an OLED screen since I will play it on my TV most of the time anyway. And I have an awesome, 55 inch OLED TV.
Can't wait i'm so excited and so ready for the Nintendo Switch 2 or Super Nintendo Switch, my thoughts are it's New Nintendo Switch XL with the Dual Screens. No matter what it is I'll take it! 😊❤

Steam deck has oled has been on my mind a lot lately. Definitely want to get around to picking one up sooner or later. I’m sure you’ll be picking up that Switch 2 once we learn about the games launch lineup lol
If you're a genuine Nintendo fan, you'll want those first party games. Otherwise, there is little reason to not stick to Steamdeck. Sure, there's physical media but the third parties are generally the worst for publishing all the media on the cart these days, much to many a collector's annoyance. However, it seems most people will wisely choose hardware for the games first and foremost, as long as the hardware supports them sufficiently. This something their competition simply isn't executing on of late. Perhaps Nintendo can use this fact to their advantage come the next generation, given their game development times and costs are often significantly less than those of Sony and Microsoft.

All I can say is that these rumours are having me excited although I’m not done with my current switch the new switch 2 if the rumours are true are gonna be very very exciting and I can’t wait to be a part of it as it will be my first time getting a consult on day one especially Nintendo console which hasn’t happened to me since the GBA, which I got at launch.
I still think if they don't call it the Super Switch they are missing out! Not only would it be a nice nod to the Super Nintendo but the alliteration makes it roll of the tongue nicely!
Part of me wants to think we will hear something (even a Switch 1 only Direct) soon before the meeting, but realistically I expect they'll probably try to assure investors all is well, give no details, and probably see a stock drop. But hey what do I know?
My concerns with the magnets is how is it gonna affect people whom have like a pacemaker or other devices. Plus, how might it if these are so powerful magnets what kind of effects are they gonna have if someone wants to play the switch 2 while they’re recovering in an hospital.. I know when The Nintendo Switch First came out and since that many hospitals including the children hospitals have purchased Them for kids to play..
Also I always thought when magnets got close to any type of screen it will screw up the screen, and if that's true and with the lcd screen that switches have you'd think the last thing they'd wanna do is get magnets close to that screen. I could be dead wrong about all of this but I was always told not to ever get any kind of magnet near any screen on electronics that it will ruin it by making the screen turn all kinds of different colors and what not. Again I could be wrong about everything I just Said lol and yeah I didn't even think about what you said with the pacemakers surely they have considered that if they haven't then they should because they could potentially lose some or even a good amount of console sales

The Game Card slot (not cartridge...) on Switch 2 should have a similar soluttion like they did for 3DS.
You can fit DS game cards in both DS and 3DS. But only 3DS game cards in 3DS.
This is the most important for me about Switch 2!

Fingers crossed they design a smaller power brick for the switch 2. That way it would fit in the slim cases.

I hope they can add the NSW joycon as a substitute controller when playing nintendo sports or such type. Not unless the new switch will have and upgradeed bluetooth joycons.

switch 2 will definitely have a physical lock for the joycons as electromagnets require a constant current meaning it would drain the battery while your system is off and also if you console and joycons are dead then the joycons would constantly fall off

If it is called switch attach or just Nintendo attach, that could be one of the reasons for the opaque box. Maybe they don’t want anyone to see the name if it’s printed on it. And possibly the different color buttons and what the new buttons are labeled

Joycons could be called attach, I doubt it's a print ore like function the wow it does What will be exposed there's more to this device who's to say there's not pro dock you attach to and the new attach controls not only attach de tach but attach to each other and so on and so on a system of attachable le detachable scalable tech hardware
As a prototype, there would no reason to print the name on it. It's more likely they don't want people sneakily taking pictures with their smart watches or hidden cameras. There's way too much money at stake for such leaks to get out.

I personally think it’ll be its own separate announcement and not part of a direct but you can never tell for sure with Nintendo. I am hoping we see the announcement over the summer time🤞

Electromagnets are extremely strong. In the automotive world, your AC clutch is controlled by an electromagnet. In cars from roughly 10 or 15 years ago that was the only thing that really turned on and off your AC pump.

I think "Nintendo Switch: Attach" sounds horrible. It is a really long name, and I think no one would end up calling it that. They would just say "Switch 2" instead. I've heard some people say "Super Nintendo Switch". I think that would be awesome!!

That doesn't mean they weren't told some basic details about how they work. Remember, they're only informing these third parties so they can conceptualize and produce cost effective equivalent peripherals in time for the system's release.

People really think Nintendo is gonna put out a new system in 2024 or 2025 with a max resolution of 1080p which just shows the low standards Nintendo fans have come to expect from the company which is sad. Switch Attach is a terrible name but as I speculated before it could appeal to Japanese ears because of the repeat "ch" sound. They love repeat sounds jabu-jabu kuru-kuru okie-dokie doki-doki, etc. The name Nintendo Attach is much better but still not that good, I would just call it the Attach either way... I don't know it's sounding less bad like that so I guess it's okay but... they should name it the Super Nintendo Switch, because we all get to say Super Nintendo again lol, but everything else about this sounded great so if the only thing I don't like about it is its name then that's awesome.

In fact many games won't DLSS upscale to 4k. They will likely DLSS upscale from 720p to 1080p or 1440p and then leave the TV to upscale to 4k like currently happens on Switch 1. This is for highly demanding games.

Most of these bits are not shocking but basic. Also the phrasing of Switch 2 games wont work on Switch 1 is pointless to say, as no duh. Backwards compatibility brings old to the new not new going to the old lol. Gamecube games played on Wii, but Wii didn't play on Gamecube, Wii games played on Wii U but Wii U games didn't play on Wii.

Well here's TWO things to remember and for people to accept right now so you're not crushed later:
1. It's 99.9% NOT going to be called Switch 2. Nintendo has NEVER called any followup console, EVER, the _______ 2. So, get used to not calling it that. Prepare for something goofy sounding. 45 years of history in the video game industry and Nintendo has NEVER gone with "2".
2. Nintendo wouldn't hide the LOOK of the thing unless it looks distinctly DIFFERENT than the Switch. So, get used to the idea of it being anything from a dual screen to some angular cybertruck looking abomination and everything in between. If it looked JUST like the Switch, no reason to hide it. Generally, you hide the appearance of a product, you're not rolling out something that looks just like the last one.
Just keep those 2 things in mind and remember, it's NOT going to be keeping up with any PS5 pro or anything like that graphically and it being Nintendo, you can BET on a gimmick as usual - just don't expect "Switch 2: exactly like Switch only stronger".

Everyone's talking about magnetic attachment but I am much more concerned about the Switch 2 having Hall Effect sensor Joycons. That would have a major impact on the quality of the console, it's not something minor to forget about.
What is hall effect sensor joy-cons?
@@cheerful_crop_circle Hall effect sensors are magnetic sensors and they don't have the joycon drifting problem. Switch used the old sensors that have a lot of drift problems. Most pro controllers and handhelds consoles have hall effect now, in the past couple years it's considered to be a lower quality if it doesn't have Hall effect.

4K TV's are dirt cheap? And everyone has moved onto 4K? BAH, not I Sir! I'm still rocking my 1080p LCD LG TV from 13 years ago! It's still doing just fine. I do NOT want 4K. I will NEVER GO 4K. I was looking into TV's the other day and man, it's sad. Overall TV quality has dropped off a damn cliff. I see all the OLED/QLED and such that is the sole selling point, but the TV's are worse then ever before. You get a brighter image and better contrast but the sound quality is shot to hell, you get less HDMI ports on them, you're basically forced to get a smart TV which I DO NOT FREAKING WANT. Don't need more tech spying on me and harvesting my information. Also out of mild curiosity I was on Bestbuy's site and was like lets look at 8K TV's cause people of course are already talking about 8K.....They have an 8K TV for $100,000 on their site. LIKE WTF? 1440p 60fps, should be what the gaming industry caps at. But then companies wont make as much money which sounds like a them problem.
