May I ask, what did you use under the metal roofing? Hubs & I are on raw land & our soil is dark red clay...hard as a rock! We're interested in cob building a house.

We're installing a rain water harvesting system. We bought a 1550 gallon water tank...posts are in...work is @ a snail's pace. We're in a travel trailer right now but we're hoping to plan on building a metal roof & collect water.

Yes, underneath is the roof sheathing (wood boards) and the roofing felt/tar paper.
