The Bible says that no one is a good person. We have all broken God's law the 10 commandments, we have all committed, lies, adultery, idolatry, and blasphemy. We deserve hell, but because of what Jesus did on the cross we can be forgiven. So if you Repent of your sins, change your wicked ways, and put your faith in Christ you will be written in the book of life. 👌 🙏Repentance is reviewing one's actions and feeling contrition or regret for past wrongs, which is accompanied by commitment to and actual actions that show and prove a change for the better.

"it's getting louder"
"That's the technology used in the car engines"
Sounds like a mustang
So I believe the phenomenon is primarily due to the extraordinarily low coefficient of friction between the disk and the surface due to its shape and the materials. I wanted to make this correction because it’s not the force or momentum that makes it spin so long but the almost unnatural conservation or motion it has since the only things that can significantly slow it down are air resistance and friction both of which are almost non existent.
Good answer
It's because it's rocking around on it's edge in a circle but when is going really fast (the sound) or I guess at any speed it's only contacting like three points in any revolution. Which still gives it a really good friction thing
Towards the end, it sounds like an engine's rpms are rising to the point that the engine is getting ready to explode.

They are cool. I'm glad you found out about them. My physics teacher in highschool used to mess with one while we were taking tests and exams. I never knew how genius it was until a kid asked.
@@Rabbit-the-One Hope you're aware that not everyone has the privilege or personal priority of spending time in academia or has access to good bits of academia. The entire notion of "math toys" is already categorically not something that can be accurately called "very popular" in society as a whole. I think you meant your comment kindly but it serves to imply exclusionary or judgmental subtext to anyone whose social environment doesn't have the same norms as yours.

It gets louder towards the end partly because once it is nearly horizontal the space under the disk forms an acoustic cavity. Also although the rotation of the disk slows down, the precession of the point of contact around the rim increases which is why the rattle sound gets faster.
You picked a nice way to demo this with a heavy disk on a mirror, but anyone can do this at home with a dinner plate or a penny. With the plate you only get the effect half of the time because the other times it falls bulge downwards.
The physicist Richard Feynmann was doing exactly this in a diner near the Uni when he realised he could recycle the maths involved to solve a difficult problem, how to model an electron orbit spinning like Euler's disk.
He rushed back to his office and invented what we now call Quantum Electrodynamics. He later got the Nobel prize just for watching that plate spin and doing the maths.

It doesn’t have to be put on a mirror. Just a really evenly smooth surface will make it spin longer.
And it’s nothing fancy. Literally just a hunk of metal
@@13_cmi Comments like yours are why engineering schools should and often do require students (at least mechanical engineering students) to spend a semester in metal shop -- so they can learn that what seems theoretically simple, and what's physically doable without spending insane amounts of effort, are VERY different things. "Nothing fancy"? Lol I dare you to go into a metal machine shop and make "just a hunk of metal" with that narrow/precise a range of tolerances for symmetry and straight edges and even distribution of material. Hell, I dare you to just make something with an exactly perfect right angle, even, much easier. Still gonna take a lot of skill development and a looooooong time lol.
Yeah automated production exists but the tolerances for that generally aren't super narrow and if you want them to be precise then you have to engineer the machine itself ludicrously precisely. it's very fine-tuned careful patient work all the way down.
@@ItsAsparageese so what you’re saying is…
Engineering students are stupid?
cool.
@@Aisatsana1971 Not quite stupid haha, but definitely prone to being mentally wrapped up in the theoretical, to the point of being oblivious about the problems of applied reality. It's a long standing trope that engineers will overengineer something to the point where it's literally impossible for a machinist to build it within tolerances, or for a technician to fit their hands in to work on it down the road, lol. I'm trying to swear off engineers now but I've dated a few and it's enough to know the tendency well 😂
I'm pulling a lot of my previous comment directly from the words of a friend who's a mechanical engineer and also happened to be skilled in several manual trades before getting that degree (particularly glassblowing, which requires even more spatial intelligence than most), so he's really literate in both sides of the fence, and he observed and observes this phenomenon with expert perspective. He was by far in the minority among his classmates for having any experience using his hands at all, really, lol. As he often put it, "Too many engineers don't realize it's not realistically possible to machine a precisely perfect right angle in real life -- or at least, not within realistic time and budget constraints for any project". His school is one that did the mandatory semester of machine shop for this exact reason, and I've heard that's increasingly a norm.
So yeah, not stupid in general, just occasionally stupid in ways that complement the nature of their particular intelligence. We've all got those blind spots, even people who cultivate being generalists across different fields and ways of thinking; a generalist's blind spots are just smaller 🤷♂️
