1963 Split-Window Corvette! RESCUED, RESTORED & RETURNED TO THE ROAD!

- In episode 62 of ‘Cars, Shops & Collections’ we had back to Collector’s Dream Cars in Boulder City to see a 1963 Split-Window Corvette that was found in a shipping container in Northern Arizona!
MIKE CIMINO and his crew from @collectorsdreamcars1723 rescued this Split-Window and did a wonderful restoration of this rare classic. We go from RESCUE to RIDE ALONG in this episode!
This is a one-owner 1963 Split window Corvette and the owner had it since he was 18 years-old. In the mid-80s the owner tried to repaint the car but that backfired. Because of that, the owner had to sand the paint down to the fiberglass and that is the state in which Mike found the Vettte.
You will be blown away from how it all started and the condition it is in today.
Power? Mike puts the 350 V8 on display with a ride along through Boulder City! Buckle up and prepare for a nostalgic ride!

I Really Like the C2s with the 6 Taillights. 2023 All Split-Window Corvette Sting Rays Should Have Rear View Mirror Camera Screen Like the Land Rover Defender 110.
They made way more that 2600 1963 Corvette split windows.

In the song Dead Man's curve by Jan and Dean the Corvette Stingray had six tail lights. I would have left the six as a tribute to Jan Berry who was permanently disabled and nearly died in the crash of his Corvette Stingray on Sunset boulevard same street as in the song near the fabled Dead Man's curve.
I'd have left the 6 taillights. Screams SoCal early 60's.
Yeah - That's the only place you would find them. I think the logic is the purist want 4.
How come there are only two tail lights in the refurbished car?
One of the prior owners added the third light, it’s not factory. I think they call it the California tail light. When Mike refurbished the Vette he wanted it to look more factory, so he took it out
The original car had 6 tail lights and restored car has 4 tail lights. Is this even the same car?
Yes! The 3 lights are not factory, when they restored the Vette they put it back to factory 2.
