Matt Cappotelli has since sadly passed away as a result of his cancer. Gone WAY too soon. #RIP
That sucks. Rip
Funny thing is that the tough enough losers have found much more success then the winners
Matt Larsen just like most contests shows. Never made any sense
True. I don't know how old you are. But in the 80's there was a TV show called Star Search. It's known more for the people that lost the show and went on to become stars. While the winners went nowhere. Some of the famous losers on Star Search were comedians Sinbad, Ray Romano. And pop singer Britney Spears
Matt Larsen I know right look at Valentine Dream Mandy Rose Daria Bernato.
Edwin Lindley yeah, even Beyonce and her group called Girls Time I believe lost on Star Search, lol.
I think the reason is losing inspires them to work harder
Maven's eyebrows got more development than he did
lmfao :D
Dammit! I was drinking when I read this😂
ultraa combooo
RandomBlackGamer I saw you comment on Until its gone by linkin park!
😂😂😂😂😂
Seriously, what's the point of having Tough Enough when the winners didn't became stars in WWE?
success isn't guaranteed, WWE provides you with the opportunity to showcase your talent to their audiences, they train, accommodate and promote these guys.
KKM but they never get anywhere besides Johnny Nitro but was never the top guy
They were selling an extra TV show to the networks and getting additional money from the phone votings. Also it is cheap additional promotion for WWE. If the guys on the show turn out to beThey Miz, Johny Mundo or EC3 - great, they've created a star, if not they can get rid of him easy enough.
Doctor Awesomeness well you don't have to win to join WWE. In fact all the people who lost are in WWE right now.
Tough Enough is scripted
Never knew Johnny Mundo/Morrison/Nitro(/O/P/Q/R/S...) was initially a Tough Enough winner.
Tom Knott you forgot Johnny impact 😀..
He auditioned for season 2 but failed cuz kevin dunn thought he was too cocky and wanted to act flip jump and went to season 3 and won
Tom Knott I did not know that either
Tom Knott Are you Braun Strowman?
now hes one of the most talented performers
Say what you want about Maven...
....dat dropkick tho
Ben Killey WORD!
Among the best. A young Randy Orton could also do a great jumpy kick.
Fr.
ROWDYtheCAT and correct.
Okada ftw.
I'll always have a soft spot for Maven. Here in Ohio, I had been up for a few days, and was very lethargic, and dehydrated. He noticed how uncomfortable I looked (nearly passing out) and immediately went into his gym bag, and gave me a Gatorade. He sat with me, until I was good to go. I had him sign the bottle, and we briefly stayed in touch, after.
That's so freaking cool

I just got some news that The 2016 Winner Of Though Enough Sara Lee has died. I wanna send condolences to her family and She was only 30 RIP
Season 6 tough enough proved how much the WWE Universe were just trolls, bc they absolutely chose the worst of the worst, having ZZ almost win, and Sara Lee actually winning, luckily tho, Mandy Rose and Patrick Clark got it good
Xavier Washington they were just being petty on purpose. I would love for it to come back but with no fan involvement.
Aaron Alexander yea 100%
Patrick Clark aka The Velveteen Dream
I thought it was just rigged
Tru
Cameron told Steve Austin on Tough Enough that her favorite wrestling match was Melina vs. Alicia Fox. I'll never forget the HORROR of that moment and the fact that after that STUPID answer WWE still hired her. Sad.
I thought Austin was going to whoop up a can of open ass at her answer.
She got booted off that show for saying that 😂
I thought stone cold was about to have a heart attack
And then tried to pin an opponent while they were lying on their stomach.....after several years training
First of all she's female and is more likely to pick a diva match. Secondly, she personally knew Alicia Fox. And lastly, she was caught on the spot. Most cannot pick a favorite match right away. The first match that popped into my head isn't my favorite match (but at least it's a well known good one)
Maven should’ve just done all the steroids and came back looking like Lashley.
Taller than lashley could have worked as far as vince’s standards
I meet Maven in New York around 2013, he was a bouncer at a bar. Super nice guy
The 1st season was the best one IMO and I always thought Maven had the most potential out of all the winners, but sadly he burned out pretty quickly. Also, I can't believe the 1st season happened way back in 2001.. I was only 20 years old when it premiered. Now I'm pushing 40. Time flies..
I wasn't born in 2001...
My fav was nidia
I thought the same thing
Johnny Nitro was the only legit winner. I didn’t even know he was in S3. He’s done so well.
That Nadia trailer trash gimmick would be so good right now!
They tried to repeat that same type of gimmick with Sara Lee.
Alexa Bliss used it briefly during her earlier NXT days. Hers was more like Joy from My name is Earl though.
@teddy they have repackage that gimmick with sarah logan of riott squad.
@mohammad hussain repeat that gimmick with riott squad member sarah logan who from louisville, kentucky has same gimmick.
Miz
Cool, that's my interview with Maven at 2:00. Super nice guy. I've interviewed a lot of wrestlers and he may have been the friendliest!
Nidia really needed a bigger push, so underrated!
Did you remember writing this comment😊😊😊😊
It was indeed a kimura that Puder had on Angle. A keylock is an americana.
rip Matt
Great video. I appreciate the work and update.
RIP Matt Cappotelli. Your fight to live is inspiring and we have all won from that. Thank-you for giving so much of yourself for us.
Andy Levine had immense potential. However, it was pretty clear he lacked the confidence and the guile to really hustle behind the scenes. His confidence issues aside I think the "guile" factor is a major factor as to why most don't succeed in the WWE. If you've worked your ass up from smaller promotions and learned the business you are much more prepared. These kids are pretty fresh and bang! Put into the big show. Being a good wrestler simply isn't enough. There are so many angles and players involved in Pro Wrestling and the WWE it's pretty ruthless.
A million dollar contract with only the 1st year guaranteed at 250,000 sounds like a scam to me lol
Its Johnny Impact now. Out dated already.
Manuel Maples and Bronson has been released
Technically he is also Johnny Mundo. He could work for both companies under both name
Johnny mundo & Johnny impact he works for both companies
Now back to John Morrison
metagross9092 I was just about to say that
I remember i met Maven once at a meet&greet. i was like 10. he stood there chewing a piece of gum with his glasses on. Acting like he was the shit.
On a side note, Batista was there too with his daughter. She's fine!
Omg i was there too!!
John morrison was reborn as the shaman of sexy in the ashes of mnm....too bad wwe wasted such talent
Patrick Clark from the last season is starting to pick up some serious steam as The Velveteen Dream. He always warned Josh that he wouldn't make it without having true passion for the business even if he won Tough Enough. Big Josh is gone. Velveteen Dream, on the other hand, is turning into a license to print money. Dude's really starting to put all the tools together that make a great sports entertainer--Charisma, Size, Athleticism, Storytelling, and Work Ethic.
Only two issues I have there are firstly, if he will be able to properly fit his gimmick into the more family friendly main shows and second, if once on the main roster he can avoid the dreaded touch of death that the main roster has meant for so many promising NXT talents. I have to say he really showed his potential at Takeover recently and I loved the play on the Rick Rude Gimmick with the tights, never mind the fact he and black put on what I felt was easily one of if not the best match of the night. I have to say though I didn't expect Elias to take off the way he did so you never know what might happen.
Saw Velveteen Dream vs Alistair Black live a couple months ago, they stole the show insane match.
Patrick clark and Mandy rose and sonya deville are gonna be better than zz, Josh and Sara lee
Patrick was my pick to win from the start the guy had genuine passion for the business and also had the most ability out of all contestants. Knowing how much of a mark he was in tough enough I cannot be more happier at the steam he has picked up as the dream 👍🏻
no
John Henninton Was The Most Successful Tough Enough Winner
Sean Baez So was The Miz😂😂😅
Herman: ?
@@jeffplan3419 Miz came second in the 2004 competition behind Puder, but is probably the most successful Tough Enough contestant ever. That year's competition also featured Ryan Reeves, who would later become Ryback.
@@the1tomlowson Now Patrick is the ninth contestant eliminated in tough enough, yet he is currently in NXT as the Velveteen Dream.
We already know where Maven is now...
He's taken a absurd amount of TRT and changed his name to Jason Jordan!!
Brandon-Marcel Frederick Stafford : They do favor
Sadly, Cappotelli passed last week
More often than not, it seems that the people who participate in "Tough Enough" and don't emerge victorious are the ones who end up having far better careers in the long run, than the people who do win.
There was 1 guy who failed during his audition for the first season of Tough Enough...just a few years later, WWE recruited him anyway & he became The Boogeyman
Because he lied to them about his age I believe
@@allnfun6315 correct
Maven and Nidia....ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL
Guys, u get my deepest Respect for your Videos. I Know Exactly the work behind this, searching and cutting those thousands and thousand Clips You made an Awesome Job
I remember people saying Maven was terrible during his run.
Great video. One thing I did notice, though.
You kept crediting Cappotelli's quotes to John Hennigan...
I didn't realize mundo was on tough enough
he really is
TheJrockfreak he looked completely different so it's easy to not realize that's him.
You forgot to mention impact wrestling as Johnny impact for Morrison
The last Tough Enough actually had alot of guys and women with potential. Patrick Clark was really the standout and is proving that he should've won with his match with Alestair Black.
Maven had so much potential
nyc now Yeah he sure he fucked up
Man, winning Tough Enough is like a career killer for everybody. Glad that show's over with.
Brilliant video, great research. But when you were telling Matt's cancer story, the name plate at the bottom was John Hennigan.
Sadly, Cappotelli passed away in June 2018 from complications from his last bout with brain cancer..
I remember seeing the ad for tough enough coming back in 2011 and I remember telling my dad that he should of tried out for it....he’s 50 but boy did it make him happy that I said it’d be cool to see him as a wwe wrestler
Matt capotelli is the only one who was tough enough sadly he has passed away.
Though Enough was a freaking joke.
Tough Enough is pointless period.
i cant even remember season 2 lol
Daniel Puder comes off as a dude who thinks he is way better than what he is.
He’d kick your arse. And please don’t tell me that’s your real name!
Kurt Angle would agree with that statement. Puder had that attitude and it didn't rub off on the then current roster very well at all.
First1it1Giveth kurt angle would have either tapped or gotten a shoulder out of place if the ref wasn't smart enough to do a 3 count on daniel and pull them apart. 8-0 as a pro mma fighter. id say he could have taken on 99% of the locker room (1 on 1 not all together lol)
Randolph Defreese there's no denying he is good but he has no charisma and he basically killed his own career before it even started with that comment.
@LSDB- The thing in question wasn't his athleticism nor his martial arts ability/ wrestling skills. I don't know his entire resume with those things but I'm sure he was gifted. The point being made was his attitude that kept his WWE career on the ground.
Maven is a sweet person and had all the talent in the world as well as most of these wrestlers, they should comeback if they can.
You are the best man keep it up I am like your biggest fan man
Yo!!! Who ever sampled the Undertaker’s theme music and added those dope drums was sick for that. I wanted more of that...
Velveteen Dream aka Patrick Clark is literally the best thing that can from tough enough besides the MIZ
Maven had the one of the greatest entrance themes of all time
Wouldn’t mind seeing a video on the success stories of Tough Enough competitors. Or even some of the somewhat memorable guys and girls who didn’t win, but left an impression in a similar format.
I think that's a great idea!
Josh matthews series 1 ryback series 4
the miz. the boogeyman. mandy rose. hell, you can even see melina at the auditions for season 3, and she didn't even make the first cut.
i prefer the tough enough competition being exposed for the joke that it is. daniel puder and andy leavine were the biggest examples of how stupid the whole thing has been. neither one of them ever had even a single one on one match in the wwe after they won the thing. puder didn't get the million dollars that the contest was supposed to pay him, and andy leavine probably got financially screwed over in that same way since he was also released only a year later as well.
a million dollars over the course of up to four years, yet they could be released after only a year, making them get only a fourth of it, that made the thing dishonest, but i guess all of the contestants knew that before they agreed to be in the contest, but it still made it dishonest. they may as well have made it a million dollar contract over the course of 40 years where they get only $25,000 per year while they were at it since almost no wrestler would never last that long in the wwe, so they'd likely get screwed out of the million in full. hulk hogan debuted in the wwe in november of 1979, so if you count hulk hogan as still being in the wwe even though he's only there once in a while these days, it still hasn't been 40 years yet since it's currently february of 2019. just think, if daniel was 23 when he won the thing, then he would have had to have waited until he would be 63 by the time he'd get that million in full. the wwe may as well have just made it that way while they were at it if the winner wouldn't be automatically guaranteed that million after they would win, despite them how they would go through all the crap that the wwe would throw at them, including having people like big show and kurt angle give them a hard time.
if they would make it a 30 year contract where the winner would only get $33,3333.33 per year, then think of the undertaker. he debuted in the wwe in november of 1990, so he still hasn't been in the wwe for 30 years yet. imagine the undertaker getting only $33,333.33 per year all this time time since 1990. imagine hulk hogan getting only $25,000 per year all this time since 1979. it'd be a joke, and that's exactly what the wwe tough enough contest is.
A success story would include them at least winning a major title like the WWE title or World Heavyweight Championship or Universal title. As far as I know, John Morrison has been the most successful WWE Tough Enough winner that there has ever been, and yet he never won any of those major titles. And yes, I know, I'm only talking about the Tough Enough winners, meaning, that it might not have been in the winner's best interest to have won the thing if them winning it was going to mean that they would achieve less success than someone who they beat in a Tough Enough competition.
So basically don't win the competition and you'll be somebody like the miz, Mandy, Sonya, etc.
Serving Braun Strowman at Chipotle?
i thought the competition goes straight from s1 to s3, i never knew anyone from s2
Tarmazing no, it goes 1,2 then 3.
it's a joke mate.
Well its tough to tell these days what with the mandela effect and everything.
Josh bredl, tall-check goatee-check long hair- check arm tattoo-check I need a clean up in titan towers vince has had an accident again
I loved seeing Nidia come out with the short shorts on. Very underrated beauty, and entertaining on the microphone.
Who's the best female like that her, Melina or AJ LEE ?😏
@@michealvalentin7448 Melina but i like em all.
First time i have geard "give a like or a dislike" on a video, for that i am giving a like, thanks for this informative video lad.
Just watched all the tough enough seasons, probably my favorite show on the network
Rip Matt Cappotelli
Maven's dropkick was unreal
John Hennigan not only competed in LU but also won their 3 singles championships. Also competes in AAA were he is the reigning Mega Champion & in the up & coming indie promotion PCW in California where he was the Heavyweight Champion. Then of course competes for Impact Wrestling having yet to win a championship.
Your channel is awesome
Great review
rest in peace, matt cappotelli. i'm incredibly sorry you had to suffer, even though you were one of the better ones on that train wreck known as tough enough. hope you're finding joy in the afterlife.
this just goes to show that the key to success in the WWE is going on tough enough, and coming in second.
josh mathews, the miz, and mandy rose all coming in second. and all had a larger, more successful, career then the winners of their respective years.
John Morrison has found success outside the WWE as well
Matt Cappontelli passed away on June 29, 2018.
Morrison is also currently wrestling in Impact/GFW as Johnny Impact. I hope he becomes the GFW champion.
Anyone who thinks Kurt was in trouble hasn't rolled in a BJJ class
Kurt angle was hot headed. He was blind to bjj just like everyone during the first ufc. Kurt was just a wrestler. His arm would've broke
You forgot Matt Morgan, who is now a local politician in Florida.
@jdawg matt morgan went from wwe to tna wrestling impact wrestling a few yrs later. i thought he was going to win tna world title from jeff hardy in 2009. it was not meant to be. it is shame though since jeff hardy was on drugs in his tna world title match vs sting tna 2011 victory road ppv. blue print matt morgan would have been good tna world champion. he became tna world tag team champion with former orignal lax member supermex hernadez in 2010.
good for him. however, i think the majority of the contestants haven't exactly done all that well for themselves later on. he may have been an exception.
Best content on this channel so far!
I still remember watching the maven vs taker match live.
John Morrison was also featured in Sharknado 5 😂
Andy Levine is one of my high school teachers for my recovery class
maven looks like the default character you start off with in create a player mode.
I always wondered what happened to Maven and Nadia i believe. I remember being so pumped the first time i saw them....also, never knew there were 10 winners
Bro maven done come up he has like almost a million subscribers now and his channel is pretty cool
I remember seeing maven on that blind date show lol
The only thing cool about ultra bland Maven Huffman was his toe tappingly excellent entrance music.
Maven, a bouncer??? That's like hiring a grasshopper as your bodyguard lol.

Maven would beat your ass then wiggle his big eye brows at your mom
Great clip keep them coming!!!
John Henningan aka Johnny Nitro/Mundo.... Was on SURVIVOR DAVID & GOLIATH
Wow didn't know Kenny king was in tough enough. Also, Johnny is in Impact wrestling now
I thought John Morrison/Johnny Nitro/Johnny Mundo/Johnny Impact was the season 2 winner. Glad I was corrected here.
Have you consider making a new Where are they now? but with all past wrestlers?
I just love your intro sound....

Here's a fun fact about Maven. He's billed from Charlottesville, Va (my home town) but nobody I've ever talked to around town even knows who he is, aside from a few 'rasslin' fans who've claimed to meet him but I take these claims with a grain of salt.
What people didn't about pruder was that during that segment with kurt, he almost legit broke kurts arm, on top of that winning TE he thought he was tough shit, cocky as hell in the locker room, he got so much shit for that he had change OUTSIDE the locker rooms
It's sad that Maven is more known for a 5 second clip than for any other things like a good match or that he won Tough Enough.
Funny story my uncle who use to wrestal on the indy seen in the early 90s tried out for the first season of tough enough, and the told him he was overqualified.
My nephew works for WB Mason. Maven just applied for a job, no idea if he got it or not.
On just seeing this and it brought a tear to my eye when he brought up Matt
4 years ago when wrestlemania used to love wwe
R.i.p Matt
Your quotes about Matt having tumors is credited to John Hennigan lmao
John Hennigan is now wrestling in GFW (TNA ) as Johnny Impact
