The Lauder Cardigan is stunning!
I say do a small swatch with both mohairs! I never know how the colors will look until I start knitting with them. But I do love that pink! Also, Woolly Worker just finished the Urania cardigan from Sari's book. It's stunning. I believe she went over it in her latest podcast. Your Lauder fits you so well!!! It looks SO GOOD on you.
Ahh hers is so pretty! And u did end up going with the pink. It looks great so far!
Gorgeous cardigan!
Thank you! 😊
This is so lovely and colorWow!!!
Amber you always do beautiful work!!
♥️♥️♥️it!!
Can’t wait to see your new test knit
Have a great rest of the week 😊🥰
Thank you so much!
Definitely the pink toned mohair for your colourwork sweater! ❤
I think so too!
I love your Lauder Cardigan Amanda! It looks amazing on you and I can imagine it would be a fave piece!
Thank you so much! It's getting so much wear already. Such a staple!
I've cast on a Lauder V neck sweater ❤❤❤ loving it!!
I vote for the pinky mohair, that will be such a stunning soft combo
Ohh I hope you love it!
The yarn combination for you Opal sweater is looking very cool!
Oh thank you!
Beautiful!
Lovely cardigan
Re superwash, I’d say wash in the machine on 30 C + gentle spincycle, WITHOUT fabric softener (most important!) and the garment will keep its shape. It can easily stretch and grow if you wash it by hand.
Depends a lot on how you lay it out when blocking as well! For hand dyed superwash I always recommend still hand washing just to be safe!
I like the pink option I think the gray may blend with your other colors a lot. Love the Blue color of the main part of the sweater.
I think I’m going for the pink! You’re totally right.
I made the interthreading pullover and I just knit the sleeves in the round, and it worked out fine. I avoid seaming like the plague 😅
Lolol if I wasn’t testing I’d 100% do the same thing 🤣
Your Lauder cardigan is STUNNING!! My Lavender Honey should be here I. Just a couple of days. You were superfast with it. So excited❤
Ahh yay! What are you planning to make with it?
Knee socks
The Gleener works on pilling very easily
Yes! I have an electric pill remover that I love.
LOVE THE CARDIGAN!!! I just learned how to knit cables on a hat. If you’re not using the cabling needle, do you just drop those stitches and then pick them back up according to pattern? Like not securing them in any way? That sounds frightening 😂. I have no idea which mohair to tell you to choose 😬. I’m knitting my second Find Your Fade while watching you today ❤
I pinch then really tight in my fingers, rearrange them on my left needle, then knit across them!
I had a bad experience with blien yarn. It baloons a lot, and the collar was standing out. I am interested in hearing about your experience
That’s good to know! Thankfully this is for a cowl, but I’ll be sure to share what I think!
Your Lauder looks absolutely stunning ! I've been looking into a tubular cast off for the cardigan I was working on ( the Fluffy Poof - really fun pattern, easy knit and you get to play with colour ), but understand that it is some sort of three needle/sown bind off-like thing. So I decided against, as I have absolutely no clue how to estimate the lenght of tail you need to bind off the collar. So, there's my question - do you also use the tubular bind off for the collar, or just for the sleeve cuffs and the bottom ( hem ? ) edge, and if so, how do you estimate yardage for it ?
I used it for everything! You want slightly more than 4x the length of what you're binding off.
