The Philadelphia Story was my first Cary Grant film, too. I was a teenager with a new crush on Jimmy Stewart because I had finally watched It's a Wonderful LIfe all the way through. I went into Philadelphia Story knowing that the leading lady ended up with Grant and not Stewart (it was my intro to Hepburn too), and in my shallowness, thinking I wouldn't love it because of that. After watching it...I went on a rampage watching every Grant movie I could find. Love this list.

Before I watch, Father Goose better be on that list. And Operation Petticoat. And The Grass is Greener, And... And...
post watch. I'll take an honorable mention lol. Great video. Amazing how many great films he was in over the years.

One of my personal favorites--"Mr. Blandings Builds his Dream House" with the fabulous Myrna Loy.

I love the movies he made with Ginger Rogers , Once Upon a Honeymoon and Monkey Business. He is brilliant in both of these films.

That must have been a hard one because he has so many great movies and great performances. I would have to put Holiday, The Talk of the Town & People Will Talk in my top 10 but your list is great.

Exactly Sooooooooo Hard...but Awesome, Talk of the Town is so enjoyable and People Will Talk is so fun. I love Hume Cronyn so much in it.

I would add Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, and maybe Father Goose as well!

I love The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer. Another where this unreally stunning man fearlessly makes an ass of himself. 😂

You're right, these choices will light up a firestorm because of how many great Cary Grant performances there are.
Think "I Was a Male War Bride" deserves an HM :) Cary at his funniest.
Charade definitely deserved at least the HM you gave it (I'd put in top 10 based on rewatchability alone), if only for the orange exchange scene :) Also, don't know if the script was customized for the Cary/Audrey casting, but there were many clever references to their age difference (for example, on the boat while they were watching lovers' lane, and Audrey asks, "Did they do that way back in your day?"
On the theme of cracking up cast, I've never seen it done better than what Tim Conway used to do to the cast (especially Harvey Korman) on The Carol Burnett show. Tim would rehearse it straight, then improv in the filmed/live take. The Dentist scenario and the monkey/elephant improv are just two hilarious examples.

I adored Cary Grant since I was a child---and I'll be 70 in 11 days. I've seen every one of these movies at least once. Sorry, but I'd include "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House". I don't think "Bringing Up Baby" was that good.
