AMAZING! This is Why People LOVE Dragonflight so Far - (WoW's Best Expansion Yet?)

- How are you guys feeling about World of Warcraft Dragonflight? Before the launch of this expansion, Nixxiom was very hesitant about jumping in. The last expansion was all about some weird Shadowlands place with a Vampire Bodybuilder trying to bring Halloween to Azeroth. Then the small indie company known as Blizzard Entertainment was simping for an undead Banshee named Sylvanas. But since then, Blizzard has learned from their mistakes (clearly) and has given to us: Dragonflight - World of Warcraft's newest expansion. Dragon Riding, the Dragon Isles, Profession Updates and more! This expansion has SO MUCH in terms of content, so it's no wonder people LOVE IT so far.
But what exactly do people enjoy the most about this expansion and why? Well, we asked the community how they felt about World of Warcraft Dragonflight and we were overwhelmed with all the positive responses and feedback, which led to the creation of this video. It is safe to say that we hear you guys loud and clear and will make sure to give you all the Dragonflight content you can handle. Thanks for participating in our polls and videos and we shall see you all on the Dragon Isles!

Thanks to everyone who took part in the polls and leaves comments here! Keep your eyes open, because you'll probably see yourselves in a video here soon. Maybe even this one! Either way, hope you all are enjoying DF as much as I am.
i had no second thoughts when buying this expansion, got it early and got 6 months sub, such an amazing expansion already, so much shit to do and interact with
Love the video, Love the expansion! Only real issue I have found as well as others I've played with is World quest gear being lower ilvl than your character, other than that its pretty amazing to play, it's the first time I've actually participated in PVP since vanilla and getting a bounty or hunting one is immensely fun being chased by dragon riders.
Dragonflight gives us a world to explore, not a constant, desperate fight. It feels like home.
This comment man, so true my friend
Maybe the bugs and lag in Azure Span, but that’s my only faults. I enjoy the pick your route vibe. Loving the over world bosses and events. So many different paths to choose for gearing. Have completely ignored the cobalt rep farming as I’m not trying to rush through all the content. I will say, first thing I did was become best friends with Wrathion for the black skins and the scrappy world snail. Feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface still too. Cheers
This right here sums it up.
I mean, a constant, desperate fight might be fun if it was actually engaging and not just a chore.
More world than Warcraft
I've really been taking my time with this xpac, i'm only level 66. Going through each zone, exploring, doing all the quests I can find, dragon races, etc. it's really been a ton of fun! And being a single dad as well, I don't have all the time in the world so being able to just hop in for a bit and have some fun in nice vibrant areas (as opposed to literal hell) has been super therapeutic for me. I can just relax and have fun, y'know? love it.
ikr? the side quests scattered all over the place are a good 15 - 30 minute bit sized stories, and thats so refreshing and rewarding
This is the first expansion in a long time where I have wanted to take my time to absorb and explore as much as I can. Best expansion since Pandaria! Plus Dracthyr are amazing!!!!
I want to also mention amazing writing for side quests in Dragonflight. This is exactly what I want WoW to be!
From helping a shunned dog to find his true purpose and teaming up with Yetti to encourage little Tuskarr who lost his mom.
No other quest in Shadowlands made me shed a tear and let out genuine laughter like these ones in Dragonflight. And the best part is to stumble upon them.
Many quests are filled with empathy and compassion and I'm all for it.
Great job quest design team! You nailed it. Please keep it up
The amount of side quests that have pulled at my heartstrings has been so nice. I usually skip most side quests but with this expansion I've been doing everything.
how did you like prepping the centaurs husband
The orcs in the Ruby Life Pools. Their quest is in the inn there.
To much WOKE crap for my liking
can't wait for the review in 3 months!
yeah thats why i hesitate to get back into retail... even tho i see lots of positive reviews when it comes to leveling and questing i dread the fact that end game content might be ... dull :/
blizz must be paying this guy with the way he's praising them
We're gonna start work on a DF endgame video here soon, so hopefully that can answer any questions regarding what exactly there is to do at 70. Spoiler: There's a lot. :)
Do you not realize that the systems which caused problems in the past are not here?
@@bitten4life If they were, I'd have to legally disclose it. Alas, they are not. Consider the idea that perhaps Dragonflight is a VERY good expansion so far and people are genuinely having fun playing it.
It is overwhelming, the amount of things they gave us to do with this expansion! That is a good thing. That being said, the only thing I would change (if I could have one wish) would be the cool down of dragonflying form "soaring ability!. As awesome as dragonflying is, I enjoy the "Soaring form" even more. It's an eternity waiting for that cool down to go off lol! Great job on this one Blizz!!
I love how they paid attention to the open world pvp players. Bounties, bloody tokens, quests, pvp zones. Its literally fantastic for people who like to just hang out in the world and do quests without falling behind in gear. I love that the pvp gear scales for pvp content
hasn't even been 1 content patch yet.. lol
Dragon riding is so fun, I put off leveling to go find the glyphs because the game just let me do that. And it’s account progression! Finding all the glyphs unlocked all the skills for all my other characters!
yep, when I logged on one of my 13 alts and realized I can already use my Dragon mount with all glyphs from start at lvl 60, it was just perfect... levelling alts feels so smooth and easy and fast even if you just do professions... I am just enjoying the scenery, gathering herbs and boom Ive got another level :) This expansion looks like first time I will be able to play all the alts I want without getting burned out due to the mandatory power level grind.
@@Amatsuichi true, i have literally like 12 alts too, its gonna be a blast
To me, the expansion is overwhelming and that's a good thing. There is so much to do, I don't know what to focus on first other than increasing my iLevel to get ready for higher end content and raiding. SL, BFA, and Legion all felt there was a defined path to follow in order to accumulate the resources required to progress. Not so with DF. One day I feel like questing, other days doing 5 mans, other days exploring or riding my dragon around and opening up the map. With so much to do I feel I won't be bored in a month waiting for the next patch like previously.
the best thing so far is there is alot to do but you dont have to do it
Your intro was spot on. It's exactly what I was wondering and I'm so happy you have your finger on the pulse of your viewers. Very refreshing
I hope they make Dragonriding available for all mounts, and maybe they can add in a stance button of sorts while mounted that lets you switch between dragonriding mode, and classic flying mode. Then you can forexample switch to classic flying when youre afk or whatever, and to dragonriding when you are playing. Idk, just an idea😁
It might be tough to reanimate a gagillion mounts with the wings swept back and spin animations.
Not impossible but that a LOT of work.
thank you for adding the term " so far ". So far the expanssion has been great and I hope it will contineu to deliver alot of new fun content for another two years
I hope so too!
This addon must be better
It's hilarious to see content creators make positive videos first 2 weeks every expansion only to shit on the game 3 months later.
Any game won’t be fun if you play it 3 months straight
Shadowlands and BFA were both praised at the start of their runs. That is all I have to say about the praise for dragonflight atm.
Wrong, both games had systems people knew would be bad. People were worrying about covenants since before shadowlands was even out
@@kye4216 they were still praised, but yes
I haven't had this much fun in an expansion since Legion. I'm not even level 70 yet and I've been having so much fun!
Im level 68, and you?
@@hamadalmutairi97 65 currently
I'm loving this expansion far. Most fun I've had since Legion. I had 25+ hours in and not even done Thaldraszus.
Here's what it comes down to for me:
1) UI overhaul
2) Talent trees
3) No more borrowed power
Even if DF ends up being garbage in terms of content, those three things alone have made the game infinitely better.
For sure man, New talent trees are great.
Think you meant no borrowed power.. Yet..
They ask way to much with a monthly sub and the price of that expansions.
I remember everyone saying SL was great too the first month lol
The reception of this expansion really warms my heart. I have great love for the game and am really rooting for it to succeed. Just the fact that you're saying things along the lines of "classic+ should learn with this expansion" is really nice to hear!
As someone who absolutely refused to heal before, I am currently maining Preservation Evoker. It’s just that much fun. The whole time magic/rewind aesthetic alone got me hooked into this spec. Though I do agree that mana is a slight issue at a higher level, it doesn’t take away the fact that it’s just legit fun to play, even if it’s not the strongest heal spec out there.
There's so much to do, loads of side quests, a massive area to explore, and storylines waiting for you to find them. It's not just about dungeons, raiding or getting geared up, it's a out being immersed in the whole lore which is present every time you turn a corner, or ride your dragon over a peak. I have an Evoker, but my main is a hunter who I am playing right now, but from the bit I've played I found them lovely characters to play.
The professions are updated and amazing. And you have go places and learn things to advance which is great. My hunter is an alchemist and herbalist.
Dragonriding wouldn't be #1 without the amazing zones and how they were crafted. I was just casually flying through the zones for the first time on my way back to the Centaurd zone and I was genuinely impressed with how cool the zone design was for Azure Span and Thaldraszus.
Correction: An Evoker charging their empowered spells doesn’t always make them more powerful. For some it just shift the damage from a DoT into more instant damage. For some it just makes then hit more targets. Both have different uses.
Take my like James, you sexy explanaitor! Always explanation stuff with accuracy!
Tell me something else and I will ask you if I can have your babies, hot stuff!
Already got that SHIRT! Cant wait to get it in the mail
I would like the "mount free of charge" better if it could recharge mid flight like the dragon mounts
The alt friendly is the best thing for me as I'm a altholic but also have work / family now so my time is limited. I'm level 67 I'm so glad it doesn't take that long compared to other expansions to level to max level. I've only done the story line quests for now and I'm loving it.
Great vid! What’s the name of that sweet transmog?
I appreciate the tweet popup sound with the pandaren archer shooting the arrow
Dragon riding is addicting, and I know I'm not the only one who's never used a flight path at all since launch. Lol playing the Targaryen theme in the background while collecting glyphs is a beautiful experience. Fingers crossed for fire breathing abilities in the future.
Saw a painting in a forest somewhere during a quest, could interact to "finish this masterpiece". Have no idea what it did, but I liked it. Some mystery.
Lol, I bought Dragonflight, but I haven't even played it yet because I haven't renewed my sub. oops!
Also, Side note, I have been bitching since Legion that Demon Hunters cannot fly. If Illidan can fly, Why can't I? there's absolutely no reason Demon Hunters couldn't have a Soar like ability.
whats the theme playing in the background of this vid?
I have slowed down a lot for this xpac and it's been so rewarding. There are so many charming side quests and characters, professions to level, things to discover and dragons to fly.
I do that every expansion
I've used the add on story teller in the past and even then never really committed to reading quest text.
in DF however, I reinstalled it, went into the settings, slowed the text speed down a bit, slightly shifted the window, and am now reading every quest for the stories. and I'll tell ya like many other things in this expac, it is enjoyable.
When it comes to the leveling experience, I think this is the most fun I have had since WoD. Yes WoD overall was not good, but it had an amazing leveling experience with loads of treasures, amazing zones with some cool stories. The garrison was amazing at first, and such a great addition to the leveling experience. Now we got dragonriding which just feels awesome, but also what I think are the best designed zones in WoW. They are gorgous, but also so big and spectacular to witness, they are also designed much more vertically than previous expansions, which makes them so much more interesting. The world feel a lot more alive now, they have really added some much needed detail to the world, interesting oddities to find, animals doing things besides just standing still or walking about.
So far I have not exactly gotten the feel of crafting, I like that it has been actually usefull for me during leveling and when I reached max level. Something I have not really felt since WotLK or something like that. I am having a hard time figuring out what to specialize in though, which is why I can't really say for sure what if I like the crafting system. I do wish they made some more unique stuff for crafters, cosmetic gear or anything that makes them a lot more attractive to people. Like this was a perfect opportunity to give leather workers the ability to craft some cosmetic quivers or something like that. Just reskinned armor and weapons is not interesting enough for it to be viable items for long.
For me the Evoker is the most disappointing part of the faction, I just think it basically goes against the MMO genre, I mean why on earth would you make a class and a race that does barely have visible armor and gear? The prime purpose of an MMO like this is getting new loot and most importantly, shiny and cool looking new loot. What motivation is there to even play an Evoker when you don't get anything new? They will always be restricted to the lacking character creation options and some belts and shoulder pads. The class may play well, but I will probably never really touch it.
Dragonriding is so far the most fun feature for sure, but I am a bit confused by its inclusion. DId they not say we would not get any borrowed power, so this mount system needs to continue on with newer expansions or people will be pissed off. And one major issue is that it has made all the hundreds of older mounts obsolete and useless. Going back to old content without the new mounts is frankly a painful experience. They really need to add this type of flying to all the previous flying mounts. Why should I care about getting a new mount drop when I can't even use it in the new expansion?!
Glad you're still kicking Nixxiom! I'm really happy you're making quality content as always.
I doubt you remember me from like 5 years ago Twitch, my username was Remis
Another little thing I've liked is having a couple thousand "Dragon Isle Supplies," seeing a neat toy/mog/dragon customization available to buy, and just being able to do so without any sort of guilt or regret. It's so nice not to have to save up this currency because of some overpriced "sanctum upgrade" nonsense. It is so refreshing to be able to spend this new currency on something I want instead of glorified taxes.
Bought a necklace today at Wrathions’ quartermaster, and was like “For real? Epic thingy for 150 easy obtainable currency? Nice!”
The biggest question is, are bliz learning the right lessons from the positive feedback or are we gonna get another “people loved ap but by the time we made it the focus of the next expac people hated it and we can’t pivot away” or something. Also the dragonflight DK armor single-handedly made me play DK
Isn't this the first expansion since Microsoft takeover? Or the decision of Microsoft buying Activision/Blizzard at least. Perhaps a change in design philosophy or drive is all it took to actually take into account the feedback.
@@SamRFi I was told earlier today that the FTC voted to sue to block Microsoft’s $69 billion acquisition of Activision. So yeah.
Takeover in progress
Im waiting foe couple of months. See how the hype is by then
I like that we as players come to this world and the leaders of each help us fight, you can see every dragon fight in the sky. Do you guys remember BFA, when Genn stood afk in Boralus for 2 years?, it's awesome it's not only we who fights.
I wish I could play. My return is a long time coming and this would be perfect. Enjoy everyone!
I LOVE leveling through it (compare this with the... previous expansion that should not be named where I couldn't wait to be done with it and where none of the zones, maybe except Bastion attracted me). If it lands on Chromie Time someday, I know where I'll be levelling from level 10 onwards.
Also Level 70 content seems ok so far. The best thing is there's always something to do to gain rep (oh sure, farming key pieces or hunting can get tedious after a moment, but one can always go for another activity)
I'm confused lmao. Is the expansion more $$ or just the subscription? I haven't played since they added death knights and just got a gaming PC. Is it worth it to get back in?
I'll still wait a month or three before resubbing. The honeymoon phase is still kicking here hard
So why miss out on the best time in an expansion when everyone is having fun and playing?
@@kye4216 Done that so many times, but still feel crappy at the end of it when it start sucking. So this time i'm just skipping that. Hopfully it can retain the players and be good all through the exp
Dragonflight has been the first expansion I don't immediately go to Icy Veins for levelling/endgame build (since IVs release) I don't care if my arms warrior may be underperforming because damnit it was my choice and what I like
Big agree on Dragonriding being the best feature so far, I have not used a flight path once on the isles. Only things I wish for from it atm, is old world riding (obv), an air brake button (like a full or quick slow down so I can do cool landings at my destination without slamming into the ground), and a hover button, maybe one that slowly drains vigor so that its still an active skill
I think the thing I like most is jist the new zones. Feels like home.reminds me of twilight highlands, grizzly hills, and Westfall
I am almost sold. I'll just wait for the honeymoon period to be over, and a Christmas discount. Return to Azeroth? My nostalgia is off the roof.
Been holding back, waiting for it all to crumble again.
But, I think I have seen and heard enough, im gonna buy DF for myself tonight.
Thanks for the info 🤙
I started playing wow in legion was my very first expansion and dragon flight has been the best experience like the customization with the talents and just being able to customize and how I want to build my character it's just something I always wanted in legion
Can confirm, I've played for a long time and have enjoyed both the exploration and not know what the eff I am doing for professions 😁
I love the Evoker but I really suck at playing mine. I'm using Preservation when I play solo but switch to Devastation in Dungeons because I'm not confident I can do a good job...
If you enjoy playing as healer, you should definitely try it out in dungeons! It’s scary at first, but so much worth it!
Im level 68 right now and taking my time, its just so much fun.
Dragon flight has got that feeling that I want to leave work and play again which has not happened in a long time 🙏
First time in awhile a expac feels like it has heart in it . The immersion is crazy also , like just watching npcs mingle and do things with little things to interact with, I also noticed they went SO hard on letting us just ask npcs there opinions /how they feel or whats going to help with the player, I keep wording it like it as the least corporate meddling ive seen and there is a ton of creativity , also the team has been super receptive on wanting to not make the game feel like its forcing people to play
I feel like what we got back, was like vanilla and BC, Blizzard built a world with stuff to do and set us free to figure it out. Since WOTLK, there was a list of chores you had to spend all day every day doing to be accepted into any end game content. It's nice to play a game for enjoyment.
My job doesn’t give me the best schedule to play, but I’m working on my second level 70. And Dracthyr just aren’t doing it for me. I’ve tried, and I still have one, but…
I also really like how professions have gone. It’s pretty neat and one helluva time sink!
The talent system is great! Like with classic and tbc, you have choice, but you're not soft-locked into just one set of talents to have a capable build.
I hated dragonriding AT FIRST. Then, I just went and collected all of the glyphs, and it has made things WAY better. Pretty thrilling, actually, when you leave ambient audio up.
The dragon races are getting me though. That stuff gets intense!
Im trying to figure out wich server i should play.. im focussed on pve and want to play allience
Very happy people are having fun with WoW again. Never played before and it feels pretty daunting to start now.
Thanks for the feedback.more videos soon. Send a direct message. I have a Gift for you!!...,,,,,,
I enjoyed my time getting to max level and gearing my character, but part of me is not looking forward to getting on that gearing threadmill and DPS race again. Maybe I'll roll a healer and gear slowly.
The main thing I said that all my friends agreed with me on and we all had that awkward laugh where we then fell into mid life crisis' at 25 is that I am having so much fun in DF it made me realise I wasn't having fun with WoW for the past 5 years.
Blizzard hit the spot with this expansion so far! My favorite is the reworked talent system. So much choices to explore. :)
Still haven't played Dragonflight, but if theres a reason i do it is certainly because of this video. Seems like a hype time
With dragon riding hope it can lead to ariel combat with shooting fireballs at each other or even fly over flame brrathe in the middle of a battle.
I just turned 70 and still have so much more to do! I haven't had this much fun in an expansion in a very long time. I'm taking my time to explore!
Happy Birthday!!
@@harvestingseason2725 😂😂
is Longboi available in Dragonflight. thats all i want to know.
The best thing for my was to get dragonriding and immediately looking for all the glyphs. I got them at level 62/63. I felt like I hacked the and it was amazing
This has convinced me to try wow again after like 4 years
The closest WoW expansion I can liken DF to is MoP - that expansion was a breath of fresh air as well and it felt so grounded and classic. I loved exploring the zones in MoP especially with the treasures that could be found. DF seems to have taken that feeling and expounded on it greatly with the inclusion of Dragonriding it helps to open up exploration in the new lands.
Kudos Blizzard, I had serious doubts that it could be pulled off after the terrible Shadowlands but so far (I'm not 70 yet!) I'm thoroughly enjoying my time.
I dropped off in bfa, but this video makes me wanna come back...
Played Shadowlands and leveled up. And I enjoyed the journey Endngame didn't do it for me, but I can’t get enough of a dragon isles . I always love new zones and places to exore whole not being rushed to endgame. The only thing I’m not a fan of that your dragon hovers, if you run out of vigor , and to be honest I find that kind of silly.
I’m not done so I can’t say my complete opinion about this xpac but I am enjoying the characters and story and the Dragon isles are super cool. Love the high fantasy going on and I feel like I’m actually exploring a legit 3 dimensional world
Yeah after doing my usual rush thru an expansion only to sit at level cap for a few months doing the same old shit and then quitting, I’m playing completely different and loving it. Taking an evoker out for a few quests and mining and then soaring back to camp and doing a little crafting. Just chillin and exploring. Got dragon riding a week into the expac and that’s a fucking blast. I still feel like I’m gonna get my usual burn out once I hit level cap. But instead of rushing thru in a week and Fucking around for a month I’m just leveling super chill and then we’ll see where I go from there.
Still going to wait a bit, very cautious about blizz jacking up their own product.
Problem with Dracthyr is that there are cooldown on Soar and you don't have the dragon riding abilities...
And the problem with professions is that we don't have enough bag space for mats...
Otherwise its pretty good. :)
How many mats do you want? They gave us an extra 20ish slots just for mats. My bags are like less than 1/4 full
@@kye4216 As a leatherworker/skinner I have 10 different types of leather/scales and there are 3 tiers to each and there are also 6 that doesn't have any tiers...
And then there are 6 types of Rousing/Awakened Elements, and then we also have Primal Chaos, Matrixes, Artisan's Mettle, 2 types of cloth and 8 types of byproduct from skinning and god knows how many cooking materials there are.
But just to some it up there 65 different materials just for leatherworking alone...
And then I would guess there are about 20 different cooking materials.
So yeah a 32 slot reagent bag doesn't cut it.
im playing a warrior bleed tank b/c i plan to only do open world.
i can pull multiple elites or a dozen normal. its great.
9:19 if i would give a top tier list that will be:
1. Dracthyr
2. Dragon Riding
3. Profession Updates
4. Exploration
5. Quests
When I heard about the return of talent trees during the reveal (which was on my bday...) I almost weeped in happiness.
Retail really missed making your character unique and we got this back! No more "pick 1 of 3" talents where 1 just stands out, and the other 2 are so meh nobody takes them (looking at SL's BM hunters...)
Nah, we get to pick what we actually wanna use. Hate Leap of Faith? Well just take a different side node to reach down to PI. Want a cool new ability? Plan how you reach it during leveling, take an active or passive ability as you please. Most connections make a good sense and the upgrades are generally worth taking. 👌
I want a Drakonid option for Dracthyr.
It's the most chill expansion since a long time for me but I would hold my horses before calling it the best because once we hit next reset rares/WQ/obsidian rep becomes irrelevant, idk about professions yet but all we will have left is m+ and raids. Everything depends on what blizzard will deliver in x.5 and full patches.
I'd like to see how people will feel in let's say 3-4 months I want to come back but time will tell if it's a good expansion. We just dedicated a part of our souls in the game and we always want to come back.
Dragonflight is great , i agree maybe adding features from this new philosophy to the low level zones.
I heard that dragon riding had been nerfed a ton, is it still loved despite (apparently) being much slower than originally in the beta?
Yup
It’s great
I’m happy for y’all! Well, back to the lost ark grind for me😂
They need to add a que for dragon racing. The courses and time trial is fun but I want to race people.
seems like its worth comming back.
I have legit found myself just flying...speeding through a zone and stuff..lmao
I knew that Dragonflight was something special when I, by pure accident because I mismanaged vigor while trying to fly out of the Green Dragon area, ran into a bar for 4 legged creatures to speed date
Watching dryads mingling with drakonids and all of them shunning me because I have 2 legs was the funniest thing I found in the game in a long time
Really enjoying DF I stopped playing in BFA because it just wasn't fun. DF is a breath of fresh air. Its just plain enjoyable haven't had this much fun since WotLK. I'm also enjoying the revamped leveling after getting my main to 70 I rolled a Warrior and am leveling through just to see the process. Also the thing that brought a tear to my eye was the Talent Trees I feel like we have choices again it just feels awesome. Well done Blizzard!
I have been playing wow for since vanilla and Dragon flight feels better than the vanilla days of wow. I sincerely mean that and I am sure other people do as well . I am hooked again, excited to wake up and go to Azeroth in the morning and after work. It's a real world that I look forward to being a part of each day. I've got to hurry I can't wait to get back in the dragon isles IT IS AMAZING!
It FEELS like the expansion we should of had a LONG time ago.
maybe because this zone was planned to be added back in vanilla (not as a separate expansion but then blizzard learned that they can charge additional money every couple of years and decided to just start adding expansions rather than features). The island was even reachable but never finished. Still riding on the good ideas of the first team i see.
6:56 the fact that he has everything except mechagnomes unlocked 💀
I love Dragonflight so far. I haven’t had the uncontrollable urge to play WoW all day long for so long now. So far that magic that WoW has back in the day that got me hooked is back.
I spy with my eye, a Zygor levelling guide😲😎
World pvp and world content is what I love the most about Dragonflight so far.
I wonder how much of the praise is just because its being compared to the two stinker expacs that came before it. I wonder how it would have been received if this one came on the heels on Legion instead of Shadowlands
im happy there is no AP grind ffs ty it feels like classic like the only way to get gear is by dungeons which I have to say is nice !
