- Elsa is tracking its way up Florida's west coast, threatening to bring heavy rain and wind throughout Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
The tropical storm was still intensifying, despite wind shear, and could become a hurricane before it hits Florida.

I like this guy too !! He needs a raise 😎😎😎
Come on I'm down here in Venice and Northport and I'm here to tell you our afternoon thunder showers are a lot worse than this. There's people outside lighting fireworks off right now 🤣🎉🤣
o.k.
Still? The wind and rain looks very intense there now. And unlike your regular afternoon storms this one lasts for an entire day
Hi neighbor lol
Yall on the coast that’s not getting it bad. It’s hitting the west coast. You’ll just have some thunderstorms
@@briannawaldorf8485 North Port and Venice are on Florida's Southwest coast. What are you talking about? I'm in Ft Myers, and all we've gotten is a lot of rain and a little wind. Summer thunderstorms in this area ARE worse than this storm so far.
Thank you Paul for not over hyping this storm. It is dangerous, but hopefully no loss of life will occur. Very professional reporting sir.
Unfortunately, Pinellas County is in BIG trouble with this storm, especially the low-lying sections of the county when the storm surge hits. I just hope John's Pass (Madeira Beach) gets through this okay.
7:30 PM Tuesday in Naples. Light rain all day. The storm is now directly passing us to the west in the Gulf. It's breezy at best. I've been through some horrible storms and I like this one.
Glad to hear it ! ♥️♥️ I’m in Spring Hill.
Same
It's here. It's just a little wet, a nice cool day. Actually very relaxing.
Oh the drama……we must live in fear of something…..all the time 😱
I'm in no fear are you?
What drama? He is calmly reporting what will happen. I see no drama.
over the past year and a half i must've seen this type of comment so many times i have seriously lost count....and it's just a defense mechanism from fear and anxiety at the end of the day. You hear stuff that makes you afraid too often and you become oversaturated by anxiety and you either blow up or become numb to it, either way, you get tired of hearing it and put up a wall but it's not gonna make you deal with the fear and anxiety that you harbor in. You can blame it on the media all you want but putting up a wall ain't gonna solve it. It's okay to have fear, it's mother nature, it can kill us and the meteorologist is doing his job by telling you the facts and what that entails. Don't wall yourself in from fear, it only makes it worse.
I'm on Big Pine Key in the Florida Keys. I tune into 13 for the weather. I called Hudson, Pasco County for over 50 years. A block from the coast. This is one to be wary of!
Refreshing to hear a weather report that is not filled with hype, just a real forecast. Thank you.
WTVT Channel 13 has always been like that since the days of Meteorologist Roy Leep.
Can't wait she's cat 1, I'm staying up all night, I'm in Ireland so stay safe, god bless
@@SNAFU78 no I would love to live there, you's have hurricanes and tornadoes etc we hardly have that here
I'm in Jacksonville right now, in northeast Florida. Am not too worried about it. Sure, there are risks...Elsa could cause some wreckage. Every hurricane is a bit random. But NE Florida rarely ever gets hit...all we usually get is some spillover from the hurricane. A few wind gusts & a lot of rain, that's it. It's the people on the gulf coast & in southern Florida who have a lot to worry about. I remember 2017...Irma trashed the hell out of Miami.
@@schechter01 I'm tracking it till I fall asleep it's 02:32 here now so maybe another hour or so, hope the storm surge isn't so bad 😔
@@schechter01 also I'm tracking it on earth cam, I'm on Tampa now live
Im near Crystal River… just inland alittle… mostly worried about tornado!!!
Lions and tigers and bears. Oh my. Bring on the storms. Home school your kids.
Thanks.
Sarasota county is where I am. Thought 8 was when this was supposed to be here smh
Stay safe 🙏
Though not a serious storm at the end of the day, it will be a long night without question.
It’s serious if a tree falls on you 🙄
But then again , you shouldn’t keep trees in your house 😮🤷
@@xcalibr33 .... I live right on a huge lake, the biggest tree and only tree on my property is a 7 foot Palm tree right on the lakeside itself. It is not even next to the house to worry about lol.
This storm is less about wind it’s more about flooding
Yep, you stay safe friend ♥️
Father almighty please have
mercy upon Florida people and lost of homes we ask one the blessed name of yeshua thank you for hearing our prayers aman aman and aman
You’re so loving.♥️
Thank god for critical storm theory
Paul is the best in the business.
You should show the satellite images all the time. So nice to see a seasoned professional meterologist doing their job no nonsense. So sick of the children in tight dresses. That is so ignorant of these station owners part.
I live in Safety Harbor Florida let's hope it lives up to its name 😎
So do i
Word. In Pinellas. Ilooks like it's getting stronger 😎
Sitting on the porch here in the burg, Admiring the calm before storm.
I'm in oldsmar... God speed gentlemen.
@@Killerjosh89 same to you!
I'm in Broward.....just some rain bands and tiny bit of wind here..... THANK GOD
♥️♥️
Thank You for Sharing this
I’m in fort myers rn and I only got rain !!! WOOOO
It was just updated to a hurricane. I believe rapid intensification is going to happen.
yeah there is some reminiscence to Charley. There is definely been quicker and more intense intensification so it could happen. The storm has already defied the last model prediction that called for it to become a hurricane (on very few models by the way) in around 12 hours so it has definetly made it quicker.
The Gulf of Mexico during the Summer is like bath water. Of course this storm is going to intensify!
Here is the best weather man to date. He has me watching 13 News Again. He is the greatest! Kept me calm and the only weather man during the big hurricanes that covered the movement of storm and not pictures of areas already hit. I knew when it was over me and when it was leaving. Kept me calm and I love him for it. Also the only one that covered the whole viewing areas. Little towns like Auburndale and Frost Proof. The greatest. So glad he is still there. Prayers everyone. Be safe stay off roads and generators out side only.
Yes grow up watching him
He's the worst mistake Roy Leep ever made.
♥️♥️
I really like this guy.
Guy? Did u just assume his gender? Omg racist....! Also u like a white male?!!!!! Omfg racists...... Joking lol no but seriously white women stfuuuuuuu
Isn't this the gentleman with the Golden named Brody?
but, just yesterday, you said it was not really going to do anything… i believe you put it that it would make a guaranteed track along the coast and bring alot of rain.
Hurricanes are a bit random, & news reporters sometimes speak with more certainty than they should.
Here she comes
Shuttered up in North Port ..hope for the best ..prepare for the worst..then relax…so far just steady rain..🤞
I'm in Lee County and this isn't anything more severe than our usual summer showers.
Agreed. The only thing we’ve gotten is a steady rain for 12+ hours. Elsa made for no more than a yucky, messy day.
Hi, I’m in Spring Hill nothing here yet but a short squall around 5:00 pm . It is supposed to be here around 9 pm - 2:00 a.m. I never like when they come through in the dark. But ,any way. Stay safe all !
Watch out for falling trees in palm harbor, and tarpon springs...
Orange County 8:03 pm…nothing…no rain, no winds…nada
I don’t think I can stand this, because I’m used to 20-22 inches of snow. This looks scary 😧
😄 You must be a northerner. We don't get snow down here...tbh I think some people here wouldn't know how to deal with it.
Me.....waiting for the lightning and thunder to open my window but all i get is light rain ☹️
"Mom why did elsa destroy our house"
These names arent cute.
🙄
That's cool. Magneto would be a much better name for a hurricane. They should do an x men edition of names for hurricanes next year
Cannot believe that he lied to us. The storm is falling apart, sucking in the dry air from the west. And the rain bands have fallen apart.
@ 0:39 am i going to lose power paul?.... i don't know...a tree branch falls in the wrong spot ...you have no power...lol
Lol my auto correct faught me. Instead of Tampa it wanted to spell Tampon. 😅😅😅 Thanks MicroSoft . The company that sounds like they should only be making Laundry Detergent for small people?😐
Have you ever ate a micro chip not too tasty. Or on dirty jobs you can mike rowe wave.
His biggest feat was mike rowe fiber.
lol. Laundry detergent for small people. That is so funny.
If anyone is living in a mobile home in Tampa, they need to seek shelter elsewhere. It’s going to be a mess!
No its not, its already falling apart you fear monger troll.
@@abundantYOUniverse its expected to become a hurricane
Put floaties on the sides.
@@demarcusp359 it already is a CAT 1
@@demarcusp359 Been here now for 30 years and Tampa can handle up to Cat 2. with no problem.
So all you newbies here stop sucking down the gas!!!!
So do we have the legal right to not travel to work in the morning if it is dangerous? Suppose someone has no vacation or sick or personal days available? Or are employers permitted by the state to threaten employees with termination if they are afraid for their lives? I would quit an employer that doesn't care about employee safety.
Don't worry about it until you get a job Little One.
Paul is always informative and professional. I also feel the clothing of a few if the female news person's have very " unprofessional" appearance in their broadcasts. Nothing looks, polished professional,. Instead " tight and tacky". Clothing can fit well , without being tacky. A little bit more taylormade for presentation, if you please.
Agreed 👍, how're you doing Sharon.?
A good broadcast overall but... "heavy rian"
Do you want to build a snowman?

It's going to tear Duval a new one!

Yet another year of Florida's disrespectful attitude for hurricane season. Lol
It’s wet out, so destroying Jewish housing has become mandatory?
