It's also the only gun that can roll Osmosis + Wellspring. So it generated energy for all abilities, and does the damage of every subclass, which essentially makes it a guardian.

I think Osmosis is a very underrated perk on this bad boy. It’s in the left-hand column which is fairly rare! I believe this might be the first non-raid exclusive weapon to get that and even then there are only a couple. Mostly hand cannons and snipers.
And it’s very important because it frees up the final column for damage perks, that’s a true gift they gave us. I have Osmosis-Target Lock and it’s quite good. But honestly I think my perfect roll is Osmosis-Adrenaline Junkie for my Volatile Rounds Grenade build. Same activation, get that grenade kill and have max stacks damage immediately plus Volatile, it will slap I promise!
I was thinking the same thing for the roll I want! I was gonna put it on solar with young ahamkara's spine for easy grenade access and radiant!
After reading this comment I IMMEDIATELY opened DIM and was praying I kept my osmosis target lock roll and I did because now I’m using this with Gyrfalcons thank you

Don't underestimate cascade point in the barricade meta, you can proc it off of barricades by using anti barrier weapons or special weapons like trace rifles.
Cascade point becomes a PVE. Monster when You use a weapon like a GL or a Shotgun.
The lower rate of fire on the 360s also lets you more easily move to a second target without dropping Target Lock since it only cares that you're hitting a target with every bullet, not the same target over and over.
Really? Seems like a bug if it is true, as the perk name and description both suggest the perk should stay active the longer it remains on an enemy.
@@Valorant_Simplified on an enemy, there's no discretion, it's just an enemy, now if he hits a barrier which is immune I think it would drop the perk, but as long as it's coded to be the same thing, like a vex and a vex, or a dreg and a dreg, or a guardian and a guardian, you feel me
I never thought low-RPM autos would be in a good place again. They're competing with precision-frame autos like Ammit. Lodbrok definitely reminds me of the old Halfdan, even more than the Stasis Hakke that drops from Gambit. Very impressed with this one.
Herod-C from Gambit feels more like a PvE weapon. I’ve got one with Stats/One for All and it shreds. I’ve even managed to get the perks rolling in PvP a few times and when that happens guardians start dropping
It does feel better since the last update but it’s still not quite there yet. Herod-C seems to be a peak of this frame. Lodbrok-C however, imo, is out of band for its frame. It’s like Shayura for SMG or Main Ingredient for fusion, etc. It’s not the first time this happen. I hope Bungie pushes the frame up to Lodbrok level, this is where they should be in term of baseline.
You don’t have to swap weapons for killclip, you can now deactivate it with another reload, same goes for tunnelvision

It's currently bugged, the icon will show on the left but the dmg buff isnt applied
Managed to get this with Dynamic Sway + Target Lock with a range MW (98 range without losing much stability at all) and it's LOVELY!!
It feels like an LMG in Gambit due to it's amazing range and how hard it's hitting at those ranges.
I routinely drop all four Guardians in Gambit with my Lodbrok with Fourth Times and Target Lock.
I used this for the first time last night and was in love immediately. I have never like 360 autos so it was a surprise. My roll is small bore, high cal, dynamic sway, tap the trigger, and a range MW (wish it was stability, or handling). I had never thought how DSR and TTT work together and not at the same time. I was pairing this with fighting lion and just hip firing and it was amazing.
I'm on MnK. I do want to try more rolls now especially kill clip or target lock. I have been using targeting adjuster not sure if it's needed on MnK but I still use it
I miss the Hakke ARs that fired at 600 RPM, like back in D1. I would love to have something like that again. But I'll definitely try to go for the Lodbrok as long as I have the shards to focus for at the HELM 😁

I do miss the Hakke 900rpm autos, or just 900 autos in general. Rip doctrine, unbent tree, og silimars...there's a lot of these.
The reasons you listed are partly why I have been playing SUROS Regime all week. Only difference is that I get the boost at the end of the magazine and my stats are overall better than most high impact autos. Not to mention a decent heal effect due to the catalyst. Paired it with a qd/harmony sidearm to deal with people who want to push because I gunned down their teammate. So now I'm damage boosted and potentially healed when they push me.
I chased a Forgiveness with Harmony for this exact setup. Didn't get it, but got one with demo/Rapid hit and it works fine, run with healing nades solar and I'm pretty hard to kill
@@AverageJ03Gaming I chose a Punching Out because it has Vanguard Vindication as an origin trait. Heals you a bit every time you kill something. So both weapons heal upon killing.
@@kidbu916 Personally, Vanguard Vindication only healing 7 health wasn't worth it, so i went for the fioritura suros sidearm, new in the season, also a 450 rpm, with hip-fire grip or threat detector and moving target, unrelenting or repulsor brace if i was running gyrfalcon's.
@@Valorant_Simplified yeah I got one with hipfire grip and offhand strike. I noticed the health boost was so low. I was hurt. Sadness could have been better.
I loved the Halfdan, but the main thing that hurt this archetype was the low stability (and the need for good perks). With all the new perks we've received since Beyond Light, in addition to the stability buff they got, they're in a much better spot than before. Wouldn't bring them into a comp environment, but definitely fun to use in a 6v6 or reasonably difficult PvE mode.

@@humanactivated1017 I'm cautious with Comp because much of the meta right now is centered on Handcannons (as per usual) and Pulse Rifles. Both of which have better peak-shot potential, thereby making dueling in a 3v3 skirmish - against competent teams - trickier. If you can make it work though, more power to you.
Ar are still bad dont sugar coated, their "strenght" is held back because of ease of use of hc and pulses, 3 crits whit a hc is piss easy, two bursting whit a high impact pulse is harder but the reward is one of the best ttk, ar have a okish ttk and its not easy to achieve unlike hc's and not as rewarding as pulses and lets not forget that smg's have the same range as autos but deal more damage its dumb.
@@biggydx Peek-Shooting with a Rapid-Fire Pulse Rifle is not about to happen. Also, most competent don't take many duels. They either move together as a team, or use their special weapon if caught alone. Especially if they choose to use a fusion rifle. Hence, you need to be a specialist, or significantly more skilled than your opponents.
@@reynauldwhistles2338 The highest range of an SMG (Shayura's) is baseline with mid-range AR's, and Lodbrok is way past that. So saying SMG's are better AR's is like saying Burst Sidearms are better pulse rifles. Sure, they might have faster TTK values, AE, or arguably ease of use, but their engagement ranges don't match whatsoever.
In PvE, osmosis with target lock and armor piercing rounds is pretty fantastic on a Path of the Burning Steps solar titan. Haven’t had a good PvP one drop yet, but I’m looking forward to trying it out in PvP.

The two ones I managed to get and keep are:
1. Chambered compensator or cork-screw rifling, drop mag or ricochet rounds, dynamic sway, and kill clip with a handling masterwork.
2. Arrowhead break or fluted barrel, drop-mag or high caliber rounds, perpetual motion, and target lock with a range masterwork.
Target lock is great when it can get it rolling, but I think a much more friendly roll for your average player would be the combination of Dynamic Sway and Tap the Trigger. Accuracy and stability in the front and back end of a gunfight without the need to worry about peek shooting or missing ruining your weapon perk bonus
Don't forget how, as some other tuber said, the Hakke Breach origin trait makes it so you can activate Cascade Point against barriers. Hell, you can do some pretty snchasty things against this shoot-through wall meta.
If you use any Trace Rifle against a Sentinels barrier (that provides the over shield) and swap back to the auto it will trigger Cascade Point. For non sentinel barriers (any barrier for that matter) using a pulse rifle with anti barrier rounds on the barrier, then swapping to the auto will also trigger Cascade Point.

for pve osmosis target lock on this thing is really good for any subclass, free damage bonus, and font of might synergy.
I've been using my PM and Target Lock since it dropped and loved it immediately, glad you like that perk too. Feels so nice at range especially, also works as a pseudo Vorpal which is nice

Lodbrok-C is definitely a solid looking weapon. I will find it harder to use over Herod-C. Both can get High Cal., Perpetual Motion, and it comes down to KC vs. MKC.
I didn't pay much attention to Lodbrok even though I love 360 autos. I grinded all seasons of arrivals for my perfect False Promises and it has ben clapping guardian cheeks every since, hard to pass up that 20 zoom. I will have to focus a few of these and give Target Lock a shot, great vid as always my dude.
Everyone should try suros on the high impact fire mode, it’s so easy to use with the catalyst especially

ive been using the same roll with DSR and target lock with fluted, AP rounds, and a handling MW, and the thing beams people I love it. Loving the new auto rifles this season, nabbed a Seventh Seraph Carbine from the dungeon with DSR and Elemental Capacitor, ran it with void and the thing just does not have recoil. Took me all the way to the lighthouse on Midtown which is not something I'm usually able to do. Carbine can also get target lock so im curious to see how DSR target lock performs on it compared to Lodbrok, but I haven't been getting a lot of guns from the dungeon at all so i haven't gotten that roll yet
Another thing to note with this gun is that across the board, the accuracy buff the High Impact frame gives now still works while strafing, something that it didn't do before this season
I got one with Dynamic Sway and Target lock at the start of the season didnt think much of it. Tested it in PVE and liked it as you say in your video haven't seen something like this that keeps combat and load outs fresh I don't quite have the same stability stats as the one depicted but after watching this can't wait to give it a try in The Crucible and slap some sweatys around this weekend
Glad to see this. I was in love with Lodbrok-C within 5 minutes of trying it out in PVE. I only took it into PVP because I was too lazy to change my gear. And no joke my K/D went up noticeably. It feels good, sounds good, looks good, hits hard, tracks well, has a lot of good trait combos. My perception in PVP is that this causes some significant flinch that throws off most everything coming at you.
Im playing with traits in PVP now and in the right situation, Cascade Point absolutely tears through even the highest resilience opponents. WIth Hakke Break and Cascade Point, with that ROF increase, you can happily shoot straight at barriers and drop the turtle behind them VERY fast.

I kept my perpetual motion kill clip roll a month ago before I knew how good this was. Glad I did.
My very first roll was Perp Motion/Target Lock, and I immediately fell in love with it.
I’ve been using a seventh seraph carbine with recon/target lock and it’s been putting in the work. Tried it with radiant hunter, even more so. 100% worth a try

Been playing with the Perpetual motion target lock roll and I agree it feels really good to use!
I love this autorifle, I've focused like 60 umbrals and still cant get a 5/5 roll. I did get a target lock one though and man does it slay!! Thanks for the video!
I got a small bore APR demo target lock with range day one of the expansion and immediately fell in love with the thing. It pairs so well with matador and really feels so forgiving as long as you keep your reticle on an opposing guardian, I just wish it were craft able so I could watch the level go up as I use it
Love it, can't wait to try it. I have a cascade point one that I've been loving in PVP (running it with peacekeepers/smg - it procs a lot). Awesome for burning down barricades and melting people. The real thing holding it back is its 2.5 second duration. I feel like if it was 4 seconds, it would be the pick for sure. But maybe that would be OP.

I have a fourth times/target lock with an appended mag that works great as a champion shredder. Autos are always on the artifact and this thing has found a permanent home in my load out.
Got a fourth time/target lock roll with extended mag basically the first day or two of the season and I have barely put the thing down in pve stuff. I have the perpetual/kill clip roll but it for me just feels inconsistent, still good but not my Halfdan good. Hadn’t thought to try target lock in pvp but hey, let’s give it a shot. I have been absolutely loving this gun and just waiting for it to get the attention it deserves. Things are heating up fast now, so let’s see where this ends up. Good video. Glad to see it talked about.
Have been really enjoying the Seventh Seraph Carbine recently and it too can roll DSR + Target Lock. Now my roll is DSR + Rangefinder with Range Masterwork and Accurized Rounds but I would love to see a video about Target Lock on it.

It should bring 7 hs down to 6 from what i saw on wallah’s clip. Thats mean a ttk drop from .8 down to .667

If you go for the Cascade Point roll I really like it but you need to recognize that it doesn't last nearly as long as Harmony does, only about 2-3 seconds vs harmony's 7. To compensate for this you have about 5-6 seconds to pull off the switch, you don't have to do it right away. I didn't pull it off often but once or twice I was able to get a kill with a Outlaw/Kill Clip weapon do the reload and get a kill with the Kill Clip then switch to my Cascade Point Lodbrok and still get Cascade Point to activate.
Cascade point is shit to be honest. It imo should last so much longer considering it needs another weapon to get a kill with first. I feel it should be active for 10 seconds, and cascade point should not go away until you switch to the weapon with it and that timer goes.
@@Screeno1993 It is not as meta as I was thinking it would be initially, but it definitely is fun to pair up with a Harmony energy weapon. Swapping off to each one on a kill and using the buff from one to help proc the buff on the other one.
Got one yesterday with Arrowhead, Ricochet, Perpetual Motion and Target Lock with a stability MW. Took it info Rift last night and yeah, it's probably the most forgiving primary weapon that I have ever used and performs seriously well. Count me as a fan of Lodbrok with Target Lock.
Target lock + Foetracer looks like a pretty dope combo.

It’s so crazy! I got a good pve roll for my first one: Demolitionist, and the one that increases damage the longer it’s on the target, and the second one I got was the roll mentioned: Perpetual motion and Kill Clip for PvP.
I've been enjoying a Demolitionist-TargetLock roll in PVE.
Also really wanting a Demo-Wellspring roll for another of those rare extreme-energy combos.

I rolled a couple Target Lock Lodbroks early on in the season and I've been loving all of them, but the gun is great even without that perk. Osmosis works wonders for me in the left column, I like using things like Gunpowder Gamble or Volatile Rounds and that enables a ton of play with those styles while still getting to use a solid all-rounder AR platform. Fourth Time's The Charm and Target Lock has been treating me well in PVE, too.
Dude, yes! Target lock is such a perfect fit for this weapon. I could feel it the first time I used it.

I got a Demo Adrenaline Junkie roll thats 4/5 PVE and I love it. Definitely going to be dumping some more Umbral Engrams in the Hakke slot to see about getting another option or two.
I have this with small bore, dynamic sway, Cascade point, and a stability MW sitting at 52 stab. At base I love it been using it to pepper down titan barricades.
Finally got my target lock - dynamic sway - ricochet roll. My God this thing is deadly! Thanks for the tip Cool Guy.
I recall someone posting a video that they use this auto to tear through Titan Barricades with Cascade Point. They use a trace rifle on the Barricade to charge it up, since it gets crits when the trace hits it, then destroy the shield and Titan with the powered up auto
i have a dynamic sway and cascade point roll and I absolutely love it with trespasser. it melts people from 37 meters

Something i love about these guns is both halfdan and lodbrok are vikings references. Especially that bio for lodbrok.
I got a 4/5 Lodbrok at the beginning of the season, only pain point being Fragile Focus in the 3rd slot. It's still really good with everything else it's got going for it though, especially at longer ranges.
Fragile Focus / Target Lock / Ricochet / Smallbore - ran a lot of Banner with this + two AR target mods on the helmet, and was just really surprised with it. 90 range, without even factoring Fragile Focus into the mix.
Hey Coolguy, I think a cool video you could do this season is giving a top 5 or top 10 favorite perks that have been released since Witch Queen; suggesting builds for these perks, best weapons for these perks, your favorite designed perks, etc
Cascade point can be procced with trace rifles or charged devil's ruin on barricades, do with that what you will
My lodbrok has polygonial, richochet rounds, fragile focus and target lock with range masterwork. Range on mine is 100. Really good roll

Love Target lock. I have it on retro and prolonged engagement and it's incredible. Good damage when you need it. Procs very easily
i didn't think i'd get much use out of target lock on the vanguard 900 smg, but it's a huge consistency buff/forgiveness bonus if not a noticeable bonus to ttk and it is always procing
I started using it because I got an osmosis roll and herod-c was one of my go to (and still is) for content. It feels the same but smoother and I love it for my Burning steps titan.
I just got a FTTC+Target Lock roll. You were right, it's awesome.
I was running an Osmosis/Target Lock roll in the IB on my void subclasses. Add volatile rounds to the damage going out and it is a lot of fun :)
I have always loved ARs in Destiny. Now I have what I can confidently call a God roll on my FullDan.
Dynamic Swag, Target Lock, Hammer Forged/Polygonal, Flared/Light Mag, and Range MW.
I've been saving several rolls on this AR once I saw the perk pool and stats. There's just so many good rolls on this gun. Have a dynamic/tap the trigger roll I wanna try just for the consistency/accuracy factor.
I got a 7th seraph AR with 4the times and Target Lock and it has quickly become a goto pve weapon for me. Thanks, I didn't know the Hakke pool was updated at the starchart, I loved halfdan and will be going for a few rolls of this.
Target lock may still be better but DSR and Tap is always a nice consistency combination. I think DSR + target lock will be the most bang for the vault space though
Kept a Perpetual / Kill Clip roll because it seems like a tried and true combo, but that 5 bullet kill with Target Lock looks nutty. I'm sure I've dismantled a roll or two by now, but will be keeping eyes out for my next one.
When I saw this thing could get target lock it was my first goal to get one with it. I got the pairing with dynamic sway and its great. Pair it with War rig and it’s even more fun.
There was a sneaky little 22 damage 6th shot in there when you were showing the 5 shot kill haha
Cascade point is also great, it deletes titan barricades (void) since it procs as crit dmg. I usually use a trace rifle in the energy to activate it instantly (1k rpm), then destroy the barricade with cascade lodbroc aiming directly at the titan as a surprise attack on them. It has it's place especially dealing with triple titan barricades in trials. I need to check if devils ruin's laser activates it on titan barricades instantly too. However target lock on prolonged engagement is what I'm aiming for atm too

I have a False Promises with small bore, ricochet, dynamic sway, rampage and range masterwork with a counter balance for 100 recoil. Feels awesome and in this meta is is going well
I have a perpetual motion//tap the trigger and it feels really solid. Would recommend.
Had one of these in my vault cuz I'm 599 Capacity kind of guy! 😆 Thought Target Lock would be good for PvE w/ champion mods and Dynamic since usually try to stay at safer ranges. Admittedly was curious if TL worked in PvP, but only tried KC one in IB, but now I'll have to try it!! 👍

I love this gun. Got one with cascade point. Lot of people in pvp don't expect it and get deleted.
So I found this Forward Path while digging in my vault equipped with Ranger scope ST, appended mag, dynamic sway, and eye of the storm, that reaches from 17.2 all the way to 37.3 meters. Which is capable of dueling some pulses
My point being, Do not sleep on auto rifles! Seriously, the amount of times people have underestimated the potential the auto rifles especially when dueling.
IB is usually where I cycle through my vault and play with all the goodies I collected over time. I took Lodbrok out this current IB after not seriously using Autos in PVP for a while so I figured why not.
I was quite familiar with using the Gambit auto, Herod-C, and dealing with other players in that mode (back when it had the old Gambit prime sentiel perk to mark invaders). I was surprised by how well dueled (DSR+TTT so shocker there, kidding).
I had a few Lodbroks. One I was sort of memeing with (DSR+Cascade Point; Cascade Point procs in some particular instances involving Titans) and my DSR+Target Lock one. I was thoroughly impressed with how well the DSR+TL one performed. Enough that I found myself challenging DMTs and pulses. Was a lot of fun.
A lot of those perks are real good for it, I’m lookin for dynamic and target lock and demo and adrenaline or KC, I’d shoot for high cal for pvp and flared mag for either, polygonal for barrel probably
