Once you realize that only God is perfect as an Artist all your art is truly free thereafter. Do not constrict nor contract your expression. Wether it be with pen, paint , brush, cloth... DO NOT THINK. FEEL.
DO NOT BE AFRAID TO MAKE MISTAKES.
      LET GO! SCRIBBLE
      DOODLE
      SKETCH
      FREEHAND
LIKE YOUR DEFINING FORMS OUT OF FORMLESS CLOUDS.
True art is truly free. Paint, write, dance like NO one is watching. You do not try to control Love ay? So why try to control the love you feel? Why try to control how, why, when, you feel love/emotions? Why try to control your personal expression of this Love? Why DOUBT your hands? Your eyes? Your moment, this moment, of expressing yourself as a human by human means of expressions. To err is Human! So go on human ERR! Lol. This whole fallen dimension was caused by Adam and Eves err/mistake And look at the beauty of this plane of this fallen life.
Ones art is a personal expression of ones heart feeling spirit.
No ones art is perfect. But Gods.
Picasso himself said that every child is born an artist. The Trick is remembering that you are the child artist. He could paint however he wanted, all styles, all techniques... but in the end he was always trying to paint as a child. As a child, not a man with a ego and doubt, and perfectionism in his mind. To be all heart rather. To be pure emotion, to FEEL , to make mistakes and accept mistakes. To be truly free.
So that his art was a genuine reflection of his spirit, not an false image of what the world deemed “good art” should look like.
Yea, I say again FEEL, HURT, PAIN, SUFFERING, EMOTION, EMPATHY and the amount that an “artist” feels these things determines the amount of greatness that is embodied in ones “Art.”
“Do not be afraid of perfection. You will never attain it. “ Salvador Dali
God Bless you all, especially my fellow artists. Sorry for the on n on.

@froimovi, Well, my idea why u might have told me is, that recognizing oneself in another has an awakening effect, since it gives a sense of being existent more objectively. And recognizing one's less successful sides in someone else who mentions theirs straight-forwardly is fun and a relief, because maybe you see that it is not dangerous and that it doesn't make you a bad one. That relieving address can have the effect of you coming alive anew, and maybe want to do sth worthwhile. Why you tell me it , may it be because you aren't enough in touch with yourself yet for it to be enough to tell yourself, but you need someone outside of yourself to tell it to - and I am suitable since it was me it happened with? Maybe it was your true self in a glimpse, the part that wants change, and maybe the hidden part that has been locked in for so long and wanted to be heard?
What has happened to you to prevent you from connecting for some co-work?
What makes you stop there and not write much more?
Are you not used to writing? Are you will-power-weakened from cell phony like most? Are you afraid of sth?
It would sure be interesting to hear your situation outline; did you really recognize everything? do also have 6 bads out of 4? how come you bare stuck or lost, is it self-inflicted or because of many outside restrictions, mistreatment and wrong-doings?

There is a very practical example of this in space travel which I find really interesting. Mars is about 55m Km from earth at its closest point and Mercury is about 77m km. When you travel towards mercury in a straight line you get faster and faster as you are moving towards the suns gravitational pull, instead of against it. The result is that you then overshoot Mercury and crash into the sun. Turns out it is much more difficult to fly towards the sun than away from it. You have to use gravity assists through planetary flybys which look exactly like circumbambulation! Mars missions are expected to last about 300 days. Getting to the orbit of mercury is so difficult that the Bepocolombo mission there is planned to take 7 years! It is much easier to go towards the “dark” or wrong paths, than towards the light. This video explains it better than I: czcams.com/video/SCPMhVhFNdY/video.html

I know this sounds like a feeble example. But today I have a barista trial. I was told if I’m fast enough then I’m hired. I know I’m not fast enough because I’ve had no cafe experience. But I need this job! So I’m going to give it my best damn shot and hopefully get this job, impress the boss, and master my skill as a barista. However, in this situation I really do have a will to stupidity because the chances of me embarrassing myself are high! But I have nothing to lose. Peterson’s words really reaffirmed my rightful idiocy in this action, so here it goes.

Ok update: I didn’t get that job and the trial went horribly. But it made me realise how much I wanted to work in hospitality instead of the boring sedentary administrative job I had. After being rejected following this trial for being inexperienced, I got frustrated and posted in a hospitality Facebook group asking for advice. Next thing, a cafe owner is contacting me for a trial and saying he’d train me. I go to the trial, give it my best shot, and he hires me on the spot. The day I wrote this original comment and followed Jordans advice and was willing to be the fool so I could be the master ultimately led me to this point of now having an incredible job at an amazing place that I love.
