The main problem I'll be working on in the next few months is not really doing any swimming at all! As a cyclist I have just entered my first triathlon - aaaaarghh! you made me do it GTN!
I'n an OK swimmer, but after watching you guys I found and know after hitting the pool I do not rotate enough with my body during the stroke. Thanks for helping me be more cognizant of being a bit too "flat" in the water! Cheers, Daniel Connor GTN Fan
So many things to think about. To start, with a basic knowledge, the reach full extension relaxed freestyle I believe is very effective. It worked for me.
Have been swimming for a few months now (attended my first triathlon end of August after four practice runs in a pool). When I'm swimming, I get out of breath as soon as I put the slightest effort in. I need to hold an equivalent of walking tempo - otherwise I'd get all dizzy and faint. I have tried every tips and tricks I've seen so far. What's the absolute best thing you can recommend? For my next triathlon, I have considered cheating with a snorkel. Just need to find one that is not brightly coloured! :-)
I am afraid practise and race replication is your best bet. Try not to kick your legs too often and keep your breathing at every 2 strokes until you are ready to progress.
What mistakes are you going to be working on? Let us know!
Don't know, where to start with all those and many others mistakes!
Well step one, I should probably stop avoiding the swim, eh? 😅
@@JustinDoesTriathlon I'll try, but can't make promise :)
A slow swim is part of my race strategy, I can always easily find my bike!
😆😆😆👍 that's a good one..

Thank you for your videos. I enjoy watching them.
Glad to hear - thanks 🙌
Dropped elbow, being too flat is a problem of mine. And maybe overreaching a bit. Let you know next week how it improved.
I am working on my cadence which is way to low and also of course on keeping my ellbow high.

How do I keep my legs together and stop them spreading
That sounds like more of a moral than a swimming question?
It’s a swimming question
Seing you guys swimming makes me the definition of the title above
👍👍👍
i tried turning my body before and i legit turned all the way around
I just swim frogstyle or breast stroke.
Let’s be honest.. I think we all strive for a ‘shortened backend’. Think about the w/kg gains!
Would you buy a swim spa? No turns!!!
