No Anton, in the game at Everton (26 Feb 2011) in which you say you were subbed 2 minutes after half time you, playing RB, were actually taken off on 67 minutes and replaced by Ryan Noble, a centre forward. Given that we were 2-0 down and Everton were sat back, defending their lead, that move was aimed at trying to pull the game back rather than slighting you

Bloody hell, Anton cutting some onions this week. Loved the episode & gained a lot of respect for Anton on this one. No watch chat but that’s fine…so here’s a Anton Ferdinand watch story….many many years ago (I’m at uni so c.2006) this man somehow ended up in a Northampton night club. One of the boys managed to get some quick seconds with him & asks “how much is your watch?” He drops casually “15 grand”. We lost our sh1t.

The Steve Bruce incidents were very interesting. Some players seem to love him. I've never particularly rated him as a manager and remember when he was being touted as a serious contender for England manager. I couldn't believe it. I also remember Ian Wright saying during his playing career he had some real bad personal clashes with Steve Bruce on the pitch. He said they had some serious arguments over the years and when he first started his TV punditry career he had to interview Bruce. Wright said he was quite nervous as he said previously they had some real serious personal issues on the pitch over a period of time, but he said surprisingly he was OK as a manager.

It’s clear that people had a perception of Anton based on his sibling and at times he wasn’t afforded the same grace as others because of his brothers success which people just expected him to emulate. IMO he was definitely good enough to represent England - in fact he would have been called up in 2006 WC squad but had to decline because of an operation. So I think I’ll take Sven’s judgement over yours! Regardless, he and Kieran both followed their dreams, had successful careers and made both of their families immensely proud - meanwhile, you’re here on CZcams comments trolling.
