Finally Conquering Mount Yotei - Checking It Off My Bucket List For Good! (POV)

This adventure up Mount Yotei was extra special for me. This has been on my list to do for years now and was a goal of Kyle and I to go ski. After multiple trips to Japan and this adventure not lining up it was extra special to bag this peak in Kyle's honor and take him up there with me. From here on out, this will be an every-trip mission if possible because skiing this volcano is absolutely amazing and truly special.
This year, a group of 14 of us went to Japan to pay tribute and honor Kyle Smaine on the 1st anniversary of his passing from an avalanche while skiing in the Hakuba Valley. It was a chance to show the majority of the group why Japan is so special when riding on snow and most importantly why it was one of Kyle's favorite places to ski.
