Part of Lagos that is pretty is top notch, world class and part that is dirty, really is. Uniformly planned well done.

That's because we are not curious minded and progressive as a people!
We lack innovation, especially within the government!
If not for some smart individuals in Nigeria, the government would have let Ikoyi be the way it was since independence!
Urban regeneration and gentrification doesn't even cross their minds!
In other countries, Ikoyi would have extended into Obalende and Moloney!
      But not in Lagos!
Instead the reverse is the case, both Ajegunle and Makoko slums are actually growing instead of shrinking!
      Just sad !!!

Nigeria is indeed beautiful! I just watched Abuja city from African tigress. My girl! Uyo and Abuja are mind blowing! This is the first video I can say the places you showed are beautiful. I realized through your videos in Ghana, that Ghana is not that beautiful. The ghanaian government needs to bring more development to Accra apart from the kotoka airport and the kwame nkruma park recently commissioned. I also noticed from your videos in Ghana, that ghana has a long way to go. Since they are just 30million citizens, the country should be very easy to maintain. Just like...let say Lagos State alone is a country.

Nice. The British really laid out the place with generous plots. The problem is Ikoyi is now both commercial and residential. It looked much better when I used to go there as a child in the early 80s.

Ikoyi is coming along nicely indeed..That mtn building by the bridge area is obalende not quite ikoyi yet.I don't think it would take that much to transform lagos state, just that the leaders are clueless. Build other areas like Maryland, palmgrove, Anthony to lkeja, surulere to yaba, even lekki and epe with similar infrastructures, greenery and clean and watch these areas take off as well. It shouldn't just be ikoyi that needs to be green and clean. Thank you.

    • @uknowamsaying
      @uknowamsaying Pƙed 8 měsĂci

Nope. Obalende is not even in that area. Obalende is at the other end of Awolowo road.
The only other name you can use for that MTN area is "Falomo".
As for your other recommendations, those are just Gold!
The whole neighbourhoods from Ikeja/Maryland through the spine called Ikorodu road, should be beautified. Those are just to start with.

However, I'm wondering if you have monetised your channel yet? - I watched until the end and I didn't see one advert - (I appreciate it may not be a priority for you) but it seems to me you are missing out on making some money on YT.

Honestly, even the rich in Lagos it seems, don't know how to look after themselves!
See old shabby taxis and buses plying the roads in Ikoyi!
You will see old trucks and tankers belching black smoke all over the place as they drive by!
Maybe its time for the Ajebutters to stand up and take over the leadership of Nigeria!
Just forming posh in one corner is no longer enough!
We need open minded and cerebral minds to introduce quality and standards to the Lagos and Nigerian landscape!
