Dark Gaia and Perfect Dark Gaia
SPOILERS! But not in the first two paragraphs.
This is the final battle in Sonic Unleashed. I'm sure that, sooner or later, someone would've requested this.
The descriptors of "Eggmanland" and "Day" are really only placeholders. It's not really in Eggmanland; the battle takes place at the center of the earth. The game just classifies it as such because Eggmanland counts as the final portion of the game. It's not technically daytime either, as Sonic is thousands of miles beneath the surface.
The battle in the Wii version consists of three parts: A boxing match where you play as Chip, three running sequences for Sonic to get to Dark Gaia's eyes, and a battle as Super Sonic against Perfect Dark Gaia. In order to get the S-Rank, you must have a combined time of less than 7 minutes 30 seconds between these three.
I'll be removing the cutscenes for time reasons. I suppose I can explain the story here, but if you want to see the cutscenes, you should watch someone else's videos. Chip doesn't quite look like himself in the first phase of the fight...and that's because, as Light Gaia, he can summon over the Temples of Gaia from each country Sonic has visited and assemble them into a super robot! I don't know how Punch-Out!! for the Wii plays, but people have always compared this to the NES game: Dodge Dark Gaia's attacks by swaying to the same side of the screen as Dark Gaia's arm if he's about to attack. Then, you can punch Dark Gaia, as hell only be vulnerable then. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
Chip and Dark Gaia will then try to grapple each other, which is Sonic's chance to make like the Three Stooges and poke some eyes. Sonic needs to make it in one piece to the end of each section and correctly do the Quick Time Event to reach Dark Gaia's eyes. Each section is longer and tougher than the last. This one is pretty straightforward.
Dark Gaia will then have enough and transform into Perfect Dark Gaia in a sequence that would make H.P. Lovecraft smile. The Chaos Emeralds respond by bringing themselves to Sonic to turn him into Super Sonic. Sonic loves the Three Stooges routine and now has seven eyes to poke! Super Sonic starts out with 12 Rings and needs to grab more from around the 2-D plane that he can move in. He oses Rings with time, but at a pretty slow rate. Instead, Super Sonic can spend 10 Rings to charge at Perfect Dark Gaia. If he can avoid everything on his way there, he'll poke out an eye. But Perfect Dark Gaia isn't one to just let himself get clobbered. As Super Sonic is going around collecting Rings, Perfect Dark Gaia will swing at Super Sonic, and he loses 10 Rings for each hit that connects. The slashes themselves are very fast, but something that makes life a lot easier is that a small white line (or set of white lines, if he swings with all six arms at once) will appear on the screen as a trajectory before he swings, giving you enough time to get out of the way. I didn't notice those lines until I played this, and it made the battle that much easier.

Imagine they combined the wii and Xbox version like first you get past the shield and then you take out dark Gaia’s eyes that would be so cool
CyberdarkEND Dragon but so hard cuz the sd super sonic stage was bad enough for me I don’t hate it I just have trouble
CyberdarkEND Dragon true I’d love that
I kinda dont like that idea
CyberdarkEND Dragon would be awesome 😎
Then it will be a true final battle
This boss fight was half my childhood.
Reilly-K same
Same. I remember it being a lot harder and more infuriating. Maybe i was just bad at keeping the wii remote stable lol
Same; at first this boss was hard for me, but as I kept playing, it was a lot more easier. I have the PS2 version by the way.
I know I'm not the only one who prefers a round of Punch-Out to 3 SLOW AS HELL crawls toward quick time events
I prefer this to tge ps3's anticlimactic press x to win
Maybe make a dash towards DG that’s 50% longer than the one from the PS3, and then you go to the fighting event from the Wii
Bruh, if the Wii and HD version devs had worked together on at least the final boss, imagine how insane a combined version of both would be. Where you go after dark Gaia in the Gaia Colossus, and once you get there you have to fight him. Then once you do that you have to go through a sonic section rinse and repeat three times. Then once you finish that you have to take down his shield, then you save chip, and fight dark Gaia as super sonic, taking down his eyes one by one. Just imagine that
Exactly! This would be amazing!! I’ve been thinking this ever since I found out about the two separate versions of this fight!
This would be hell. These parts are hard enough separated
@@arahabakihakai4177 oh yes. But the payoff for beating it all would feel amazing.
this long ass boss fight what the fuck LMAOOO
Phase 1: pretty fun actually
Phase 2: alright
Phase 3: impossible (when I played it as a kid at least)
I couldnt do phase 3 either. When I was I think 7? I went back to it when I was 11 and beat it with ease though
I was trying for two months beat him
It took me 2 days
Same story here but the hd version is some what better
I would always die trying to beat him
Sonic: Can beat a dark demon of hell. Also Sonic: *Can't boost through a few rocks*
Also also Sonic: *Flies using boost*
This boss showed us how to use six arms
When I was 10 or whenever it was, the Super Sonic part of the boss was super difficult to me. I was playing the game for about 6 hours in one day before I beat it. I then came back to it 4 years later and beat it one try... :/
Ya... same
The Hylian Gamer same from ps2 to the Wii U
me and my friend spent an entire day trying to beat it on the ps2. He got so pissed he started crying and searched up videos why SEGA sucked. It was hilarious.
Strangely, same. Those fucking meteors, i swear
same
Anyone notice that perfect dark gaia is the only thing so far that decreases the amount of rings super sonic has by harm. This maybe the strongest thing in the entire sonic series.
nah, he flat out knocked the super out of him
cybranify What about the icicles in Sonic 3's (Original Sonic 3, not Sonic 3&K) Ice Cap? They knock out the rings from Super Sonic.
The Cutehog Team do they now, i was never hit by them as super sonic
The Cutehog Team have to test that later
cybranify I didn't either, but I saw a video that went through the differences of Sonic 3 and Sonic 3&K. That was one of the most notable differences that the original Sonic 3 had that was patched out of Sonic 3&K.
I nailed this boss back when I first got this version of Unleashed. Though the final phase looked cheesy in its execution, it's still extremely heroic to know that the lesser Wii/PS2 version had you go head to head with Perfect Dark Gaia in an up close match with Super Sonic. The HD version could have used that for the final phase of the final boss, instead of just finishing him off with one boost to the eye.
Such an eye-popping final boss level! 👀
I see what you did there.
I honestly feel that this version was WAY too easy. I love these fights as they are, but could you imagine if they incorporated both versions in some way? For example, it could have started by trying to approach him like in the HD Version as you dodge the fireballs and lazers along the way. Once you reach him, you slug it out like in this Version. After a third of Dark Gaia's health depletes, carry on with the QTEs and the running sequences. Rinse and repeat until all of his health is depleted. As for Perfect Dark Gaia, it could start by approaching him like in the HD Version, and breaking the shield. Afterwards, the QTEs would commence as normal until where the final blow takes place. Instead of using Super Sonic to hit the big eye and have that be it, have Super Sonic take out ALL 7 of the eyes after all the QTEs involving setting the Gaia Colossus free of his grip. Once Super Sonic pokes out all 7 eyes, the fight would end. If this sounds like a much better what-if fight, let me know! :D
i agree
it is sound better bro, and actually fantastic
It sounds better... but the fight would be a bit too long. ^-^"
that's the point, it would be so much better
I thought this was hard because the red target for his eyes rarely show and it keeps doing the attack im bad at
Lol, the first fight is like Punch-Out
Yeah like Punch Out Wii
Who cares witch version thats better there both great
Jakob Lindblom I like comments like this.
Nah, it matters because you're spending money.
Frank Ramirez Again, why would that matter if they're both great? Because they really are.
Because they really aren't. So that's why X)
Frank Ramirez Cool. If you don't like them that's fine with me.
I gotta admit, as much as I have bad memories of this version of the Super Sonic fight, it really does feel more like an actual Super Sonic fight than the HD version which is just Quick time events.
This Is Hands down the Better of the 2 Dark Gaia Battles do to the simple fact of actually fighting him and not quicktime events
ima flat out say my opinion thats bound to be flamed by wii/ps2 haters. Man i thought this boss fight was better than the 360/PS3 cause ur actually fighting dark gaia instead of the shield.
Gameplay wise the Xbox controls were annoying when I first played it at a friends hoist I couldn't find out how to homeing attack then he told me it was jump then the x button
GangstaKenny10 There are some parts that are better.
If the fight with it's perfect form didn't suck shit in a 2d position so badly then i'd be more inclined to agree
i only ever played the wii version, couldn't afford a PS3, one of the best 3d sonic games i played tbh
wii motion controls tho...
i had the wii but now "It's Gone!"
360 had the better Phase 1 version
Wii had the better Phase 2 version
Other way round.
No.He/She is right
Wii had the better Phase 1 version
360 had the better Phase 2 version
Phase 2 on the wii is shit XD
Why does everyone always forget it is also on the ps3 ?
The Wii version of the final boss fight is much better than the other versions in my opinion.
It does look easier.
this is the version of ps2, but this version (ps2 and wii) are better
wtf the wii version of this final boss is too easier i preffer the ps3 version it's more epic
This version of the final boss is more Super Sonic style with Super Sonic losing rings as time passes instead of having a life bar.
hyodou issei I agree it is a good final boss that finishes the sonic game that put him on his feet again (until BOOM knocked him down again)
Nothing like having a tutorial during a final boss fight.
I freaking LOVE Dark Gaia. Throwing hands on this dude was so satisfying.
With the argument of which is better I say this:
If they combined the shield part, and this charging part AFTER you break the shield while hes still shooting at you would have been SICK.
Yeah, I gotta agree. As much as I love the HD version, it's Super Sonic fight is pretty underwhelming compared to the Dimps version, looking back now.
1: Mike Pollock's Punch Out!! for the Wii
2. How the hell did Eggman's robots get near Light Gaia
3. Give Dark Gaia 7 black eyes!
I just beat the wii version of unleashed today and WOW i feel like my life is complete XD
This is what I call a final boss
I have this game on both Xbox 360 and Wii. Let me tell you, I LOVE the version of Dark Gaia on the Wii WAYYYY more. It even looks cooler.
I liked this fight over the Xbox/Ps3 one. It feels more "Super Sonic" to me. My only complaint with the Wii version is that you boost in sections and for a few seconds instead of holding the boost down and running as long as you had gauge. Oh yea, Gamecube controller for the win!
that's my only problem with with the wii/ps2 version. ( i have the wii ver.)
Well I kinda don’t mind about this kind of boost and btw, I don’t want to think of it as a boost, I’d like to think of it as a sonic burst. so if you are complaining about it,
JUST KEEP SHAKING THE DAMN REMOTE
PS3/XBOX version: Break his shield
Wii/PS2 version: P O K E
Not gonna lie
This punch out style version of this boss is way better than the dodging meteors one
Super Sonic: *Doesn’t use up Rings
Me: Wait that’s illegal
go away redditor
I just love how Eggmanland is absolute hell in terms of difficulty and then you get to this and it's really easy.
No, it's the exact opposite. I beat eggmanland in about 2 hours and the boss took me 4.
Thanks for this video it really helped me out
Yeah, I like both versions too. ^^ I was slightly annoyed that Super Sonic didn't have a ring drain in the HD version, but it still worked out fine. I mean technically he's not supposed to lose rings while getting hit either, which both versions do. But to fully compare both versions does the game injustice. I mean it would be like comparing both versions of Sonic Colors or both versions of Sonic Generations. I agree! Both versions have great qualities.
OH MY GOD BRUH IT TOOK ME A WHOLE YEAR TO DO THIS LEVEL
Sonicawais Khan EXACTLYYYYYYY
Really? Lol
Your kidding right?
@@avenger3272 yes - I was very inexperienced as a 9 year old and adapting from the regular controls to the super sonic controls was clearly quite the feat even I was unable to handle.
It took me 1 year FOr the PS3 version It's that hard to get good at the fight
I am 21 and I still play this game I actually manage to get an S in this mission I completed it in 6 minutes and 3 seconds or so it is very intense. It has taken me much longer to beat it. I went from 7:49 to 6:03 just by repeating the mission.
i can't describe it, but this is just awesome.
Thanks for that! But I actually just beat him yesterday! I did use your technique for avoiding the two-handed attack though. Thanks!
who else is here because they think that Game Grumps may never finish this game
BloobToob the comment is 3 years old
I wish they had more frequent checkpoints during the final phase. Like I'm really not tryna do all SEVEN eyes again
I love this boss music and great job on the S rank. I have no clue how to S rank him on the 360 version.
Ahh the memories I’ve always have struggle with this boss
nice one
love the backround music too
geminiguy1234 same
It’s a remix of the main theme “Endless Possibilities” and it’s frickin sick
They might not be difficult to you, but they're difficult to me.
omg you make it look sooooo easy for the perfect dark gaia
Personally the best part of this is just how when you land the final blow super sonic just crosses his arms and doesn't say a word while doing the whole "cool guys don't look at explosions" routine
Me: Pfft what's so good about the ending on the wii? It's graphics suck
Friend: You don't have to fly up to dark gaia
Me: So?
Friend: You attack all 3 eyes in all of the sonic stages
Me: Big deal
Friend: Chip won't tell you to hurry up
*Buys wii with sonic unleashed
Gaming Conditions you tried to be funny but failed
Gaming Conditions. LOL
Gaming Conditions Hurry up and buy it before Dark Gaia does something
lol
Yeah, the Wii version did bring joy. The one downfall is the ring drainage. I know that's how Super Sonic works, but I like how in PS3/360, the rings are your endless life force and you collect more to fill the gauge. It's so sad to see a awesome game to be belittle by critics. Both version are awesome!
It's fine that rings go down in the Super form, but in Unwiished, they drain so slow you sometimes forget that they do
I actually suck at the boxing part, but I still love this fight. It actually seems better than the 360's, from what I've seen. And the sweet BGM doesn't hurt Awesome job on this boss, Overhazard.
I'm with AliciaHedgehog on this one :(
Is there some way to encourage the crosshairs to show up cuz on mine (wii version) they don't come up half as much as yours.....
Most I ever got was 3 hit then I die :(
This is one of the best Sonic games ever, too bad I lost it...
Did you find it
you know sonic colors (ds) copied almost every mechanic from sonic unleashed (Wii or ps2) in the super sonic department, I mean look at when sonic is dashing into one of dark Gaia's eyes compare to the nega mother wisp fight and tell me they don't look the same!
Shook yes in beat both of them games yes they did copy
Both boss fights are still fun though
The way they made Sonic fly with his boost and bounce back after his homing attack was a really smart move.
what is the song playing with this? i think i know it from somewhere
God I had such a hard fucking time with this fight the super sonic section is so fucking annoying his attacks are almost impossible to avoid.
gamer42j Ikr?
Espeacially when Dark gaia uses all his arms
The Sonic sections in this version I think are better since there’s no time limit like in the 360/PS3 version. Also the 2nd phase is much better as it’s more of an actual boss than just a series of strict QTE’s. Also you get a rank the 1st time you play it.
Personally i think the time limit makes it more satisfying when you do win
@Overhazard Did you by anychance knock Dark Gaia's Shots right back at him?
Man, looking back, Dark Gaia is nightmare fuel.
Never played this version, but does anybody think that the perfect dark gaia of this version is a LOT like the Nega Mother Wisp from Sonic Colors DS? (I can't be the only one who played that version too)
Maybe it's because they were both made by Dimps? It seems like Sonic games like to catch on each other
Dr Scrubbington I see it (pun intended) as a callback to the final boss fight in Sonic and the Secret rings with Erazor Djin with the way he attacks
Well at least colours DS had a super sonic ending
This version of the boss fight would be better if it was in hd.
Ahh this brings back memories...A young me saying for ages to buy the wii version..Getting home after i bought it and i absolutely loved it..Then i saw the 360/ps3 version..
I got this game in 2010 and I still cant beat it to this day
I could never beat this boss fight on the Wii so i just gave up and found the ending online and watched it. after that I just sold the game because I was pissed that I couldn't beat it because the Wii controls for that finale fight was terrible everything else was fine but man that was bullshit that final boss.
The GamePad is a Wii U controller.
*****
No, the standard term is "controller." "Game pad," as two words, is a less common but acceptable term though. The Wii U controller with the screen is officially the "Wii U GamePad," and Nintendo has trademarked both that and "GamePad."
*****
Hmm, interesting. I've grown up always calling them "controllers," but I've never been part of PC gaming. Everyone else I've spoken to calls them controllers too, like "NES controller," "Gamecube controller" or "PS2 controller." Maybe it's a regional thing.
Also, upon looking it up, it looks like only "Wii U" is trademarked. However, the description for it on the official site calls it the "Wii U(TM) GamePad controller." The "G" and "P" are always capitalized.
i used the wiimote and nunchuck and i also tried it with the classic controller. both were bs, maybe i just sucked a lot back then lol.
The Wii U tablet controller is known as the Gamepad. You are right, you can call controllers gamepads, but that causes confusion with the Wii U controller and you can just say "controller"
PUNCH OUT!
exactly what I was thinking :D
thanks to this video I beat sonic unleashed just now. I'm giving all credits to me beating the game to you. thanks for making this video for the people like me who don't know how to beat the final boss. luckily this video was created and it helped me out quite a bit. I thank you for helping me and anyone else who used this video to help them beat sonic unleashed.
+Pierce Dash You're welcome! It was actually put up on request, but you're not the only one who had problems with this.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE PHASE TWO BOSS THEME.
Ugh... out of every Sonic Final Boss Battle, this one is one of my least favorites. The fact that Super Sonic can't break through meteors is dumb, something he did with rocks in the intro to Sonic CD. It could've at least been 2 or 3 hits, and you get hit the 2nd or 3rd time you go back. And when he attacks, and you have to be in a specific spot for you to not get hit. i hate that attack. It's not hard, just dragged out, annoying as hell, and tedious.
The Xbox 360/PS3 Version is the canon version of the boss fight and game.
Makes sense, considering the PS3/360 version's the more complete version of the game in a way
***** But they are the same character, just from different time periods. Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic are basically the same exact character. Modern Sonic is more powerful than Classic Sonic, which shows that Modern Sonic is as powerful as Classic Super Sonic since the two have green eyes. Their personalities are the exact same. They're both cocky and snarky but will save their friends & care about them if something happens.
***** No,no and no
In many different manuals in the classic games sonic is described as being a 15-16 years old
That's a recent invention Sega made in Generations
It's absolute bullshit
The characters are completely different
*****
No, they're not... in the Sonic Heroes manual, Sonic is described to be 15...
The people trying to defend the God awful PS3 boss fight are so adorable. This is MUCH better. So what if the other one is HD? The Gameplay there is terrible.
LSSJOrangeLightning I disagree. I much prefer the HD version final boss mainly because Super Sonic is given a lot of free space to float around and evade stuff. The boss fight is more open and I love the cinematic feel of the fight. Apart from the Gaia Colossus punching part, I find the Wii version too clunky and cramped. Feels way too static and limited. I can understand why some people may prefer the final boss due on Wii due to it being easier but it’s nowhere near as interesting or engaging as the HD version.
@diddyknux What other Sonic games have done this?
I remember fighting this boss at a friends's house and beat it, but the ending cutscene never finished playing out.
This version is way better then the xbox/ps3 version
Uhm... No.
Umm, it's his opinion.
+DylanDude120 - The Thrower of Shells
And I have my opinion, too. Problem?
I agree with ya
OpticMel81 No, but you were attempting to correct his opinion as if yours was fact.
Compared to the 360 and PS3 versions, this looks so boring
I had a hunch someone would think like that. I've looked at both versions of this boss fight, and I can imagine people liking the Wii version better. The Xbox version looks more like you're just manually moving a cutscene along.
Superior graphics aren't worth much if you don't have compelling gameplay to go with it.
ZachaRic O The gameplay here looks 10 times more boring though
***** Nice comeback. XD
Tezza, you have no fucking idea how intense this boss battle is...
Satans Yeast Infection so true
i love this game miss the old days
Hey man thank for the help I just completed the entire game 😀😀😀😀😀
You're welcome.
I feel sorry for those who played this game on the wii, the Xbox 360 version is so much better!
kyuuibi rasagen atleast i dont have to find medals.
so true but the medals tho
I have the Wii version, and it was GREAT!
kyuuibi rasagen At least we actually fight Dark Gaia instead of the shield followed by some quick time button presses
I like both versions and I also still have both of the versions
Nah. The PS3/360 version is still the best
This boss, I remember staying up till 3 am fighting this thing
Same
Here is where what I think would make this boss better.
.
.
First: You as the Gaia Colossus must dash to Dark Gaia while he throws Earth chunks to you and you either punch or block to defend yourself. After you pass them, you get to your first punch out mission which consist of it swatting at you. After the punch out mission you go through the first Sonic mission to save chip before Dark Gaia charges himself and fires an immense amount of energy.
.
Second: You resume to the punch out mission, but this time you are further than him a bit because he grabs a chunk of Earth rocks to bash you with, doing a bit more damage than he would swatting at you. You either defend yourself, (but you still receive some damage) or dodge the hand with a rock while Dark Gaia tries to hit you with it. Then you punch him when open to attacks, but before he can use rock or swat you again. Finally, you go into the next Sonic mission because Dark Gaia tries to attack Chip again.
.
Third: You go into another punch out mission, but this time Dark Gaia tries to use two rocks and use them like boxing gloves and you'll take twice the damage if you get hit with them twice (even if you defend yourself). If you manage to break or dodge both, you can get a punch or dodge Dark Gaia's swats before he resumes to hitting you. After you defeat him, you go into the final Sonic mission to save Chip once again.
.
.
Perfect Dark Gaia
.
First: You dash towards Perfect Dark Gaia as Super Sonic while collecting rings to fill up your health bar before killing the snake tentacles to disable the shield.
.
Second: Perfect Dark Gaia would then try to kill Chip by grabbing onto him and blasting him away or into pieces. You would have to use your quick time events to get 6 of his arms off the Gaia Colossus. Finally, you as the Gaia Colossus, must hold off the blast of energy he uses against you. After you do that, he punches Perfect Dark Gaia.
.
Third: You as Super Sonic have to fight off Perfect Dark Gaia in a punch out mission again, but you have to dash to one of his eyes. However, the middle eye would be invincible until you defeat the other eyes first. Even if you aim for one of the eyes, you still got to dodge floating rocks. After you defeat Dark Gaia, your results show before a cut scene of its death.
ps3 verrsion is better
The Mathew Yup
Well actually I played 360 because it's has better fps even though the PS3 was supposed to be 60 fps and the 360 stuck at 30 fps
So that's how. I always wimp out and block the rocks. Thanks much for the tip.
This guy was 27 seconds away from getting a c rank.
I can believe just sonic just defeated Dark Gia/ Perfect dark Gia in the blink of an eye.
Man... I remember myself crying because I couldn't beat this boss. Even didn't play the game for like 2 months.
at 1:20 are you inside the Gaia Colossus?
and are you racing to get to Dark Gaia?
It was cool when you can switch back with daytime and nighttime in one level, but if you get a game over, you have to start all over. The flying with Gaia Colossus was annoying, but hands down, the Super Sonic part was AWESOME in PS3/360!
When sonic is boosting to gaias eye, it's the same boosting sound in generations
I mean how do i get all levels in spagoinia and holoska?
Thanks you so much just beat it this call of a victory party and you know which song
Thing with Dark Gaia is that you have too much time to get an S rank.
the nun chuck is actually hardmode on this.
You know, we've been hitting bosses in the eyes (or more commonly, eye) in games for years before this to kill them.
@ShadowTheVamphog The song...is this boss' main theme...you heard it on this game...
That 1 dislike was Dr. Eggman because Sonic lived after this battle
Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. haha I didn't like the Super Sonic part in that one because Sonic ends up being so small on the screen and doesn't actually fight Dark Gaia; Chip is the one who does most of the work. All Sonic does is boost toward Dark Gaia and take down a shield. You then defeat the boss with action commands. It looks cool but I like the fact that you actually fight Dark Gaia in the Wii version like a Super Sonic fight should work. It was simplistic and straight to the point. ^^
The rocks look like meatballs! ^^
this boss looks....... AWESOME!!!
This is like a knockoff boxing match
Yea i agree luigi but the last track, what the hell was it? I love the music for perfect dark gaia
I had trouble with the last part at first, but then realised you need to take advantage of Super Sonic's massive acceleration in order to dodge things. Just keep moving.
And I much prefer this version of the fight to the 360 version. In this one, you're actually fingting Dark Gaia itself, and not just its shield. Also, I'm not to fond of a final boss consisting entirely of reaction commands.
ha, that was ridiculous. i'm glad they pulled their act together for galaxy. lol.
I always had an issue with perfect Gael gaias final eye. It never let me attack it
I hate autocorrect
@@owenwyatt173 ah yes perfect gae
The Wii and 360/PS versions both had ups and downs.
Wii had fewer loading screens and also more interactive fights with Dark Gaia here.
The problem though is that a lot of content, animation budget and so forth were cut short.
I'd love to see a remake of this game with BOTH parts fused together - Flying towards dark Gaia like on 360/ps, then the fight like Wii. Supersonic takes care of the shield, then you go in for a personal, mono e mono. That said, would like it if it felt less like an Erazor Djinn reskin.
