- This Video Showcases the Definitive way to to play Sonic Unleashed Wii Stages in Generations, Bringing to you Sonic Unwiished + by Team Encore which is an Overhaul of the Wii Unleashed Project by itshelias94 which was incomplete but is now being worked on, this demo include 5 playable Stages; Windmill Isle Act 1, Act 2, Rooftop Run, Dragon Road, Jungle Joyride as well as extra missions and a Gaia Temple.

I know that Unleashed almost 100% can be ported in Generations, but.. I really didnt think that is Generations. I thought its Wii version on the REAL Unleashed.. damn
Yeah same, it's only when I saw the challenge gates that I realized it actually was Generations.
Its amazing how much you can do with the Sonic Generations engine that you can essentially recreate a past Sonic title entirely

Ideally yes that would be perfect, Act 1 is the original stage from 360/PS3 & Act 2 are the Wii PS2 stages, that way you would get two day stages for every one night stage, it would help with the balance between the two since the night stages are way too long

Awesome! I was bummed out when the original Wii ports were abandoned. Some of the level design from that version was pretty neat in some areas, and the set-pieces for each zone were very unique. Glad to see we can finally enjoy these again with a better playable Sonic.
I don't why but hearing sonic footsteps on stone really fast is satisfying to hear.
If they could find a way to bring over the Unwiished drifting, then this would be perfect. Either way though, it's badass that people actually took in the time to bring this to generations!

Yeah the design for it was pretty good but sonic controlled so wierd and stiff on the wii, especially with the boost from that game, so it's nice to see what the game could've been if the console was more powerful
Unwiished is underrated
the wii level design was pretty good with the original controls because you had to time your boosts correctly 😅 with continuous boost the levels feel empty though
maybe for the wii and controls yeah otherwise its not really that great
I like the unleashed wii levels like this so I wish unleashed for the wii was like that!
This is something i really wish for since i play this game on wii
If only there was an Unwiished physics mod too, the drift is a little too loose for these levels

Really nice to see the Unwiished Project return to life. It definitely isn't made to accommodate the HD version's style of gameplay, and the camera-work probably ought to be adapted to help mitigate that, but perhaps even without the hybrid style'd Boost gameplay of the original, its speedrunning centric level design can be appreciated.
The priority would need to be adjusting the S Ranks like Unleashed Project does. Unwiished has highly testing S Ranks times, that force you to find the ideal route through a level and avoid all errors, and often winds up being written off as a series "empty hallways" when you're not optimizing for those and just trying to get through. This was mitigated by the need to move correctly like in SA2 or 06's Mach Speed that the OG had, but with HD Sonic's less nimble, more focused controls, it is actually exacerbated. But it doesn't have to be.
Someone should make an unleashed Wii/ps2 physics mod
