One of favorite “feel good”movies.
Old Benny was the real life brother of young Benny. This movie was like my childhood in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I was born in 1976.
Sadly the older brother died of colon cancer in 2008.
Him staring at the older girl like that and what not Wendy and Squints kind of reminds me of That's My Boy Adam Sandler movie.

Guy who played Babe Ruth, Art LaFleur, was one of the baseball players in Field Of Dreams, also with James Earl Jones. You saw him as one of the coaches of The Replacements. He was in a lot of movies in the 80’s&90’s.
I know I've seen field of dreams but don't remember the details...must of seen it as a little kid

53:12 your not wrong i first saw this movie when i was 7 years old in 2007 it was the closest thing i would see other kids like me having fun outside but that rarely happens now and it makes me sad that i will never get that chance to play with the other kids because i sat in my room building lego i did get a little teary eyed just now

I loved the ending where the narrator telling what happened to the kids in their future.

You didn't really think Hank or Babe were their real first names, did you? Hank is a common nickname for Henry. Like Bill is for William or Bob for Robert. George Herman Ruth is Babe's real name.
I knew Babe wasn't his first name but I thought Hank was his first name. Had no clue it was a nickname for Henry. Only other Hank I've known is Hank Hill and don't think his real name was Henry
