This is probably an issue with your head being too low. Remove it and reinstall it and just stop after it clicks into place and it shouldn't make this noise anymore. Unlike oral b sonicare heads do not seem to be made to sit flush on the base. There has to be a gap

It’s a defect. Both of ours have failed the exact same way. Motor vibrates inside but nothing to the brush head. The shaft is all loose.
Very common problem for every single one made.

I have the same defect. At the beginning there was not this noise. The problem is at the top of the metal pin. This moves too much. So no this sound is not normal and with the change of mode the noise only gets quieter, but the problem remains. The metal pin moves in the other modes only less and does not bang on the frame of the toothbrush. I guess this is the solution: czcams.com/video/gdI6JcWTENA/video.html

sounds stupid but to fix it remove the brush and lay a towel on the floor and hit the metal pin up side down hard against the floor - it worked for 2 brushes already

i had 2 diamond clean of the same model, one sound just like yours and the other sound much softer. Am not sure if the loudness is normal or faulty.

Hello, in your opinion which toothbrush is better: Diamond Clean 9000 or Sonicare DiamondClean Prestige?

I can confirm that it is faulty.

I now have both. The 9900 needs to repaired, the 9000 works stable.@@marekkowalski3814

It's probably a mode. This toothbrush works this way on white, deep clean mode. Just switch to clean mode in the app and it will sound different

@@drakewhisper656jesus christ no its not a mode. Do you have this toothbrush? If so you would know if a speciffic mode makes this sound, which there isnt. If you dont have one, stop commenting such bullshit.
The sound you guys hear is rattling from a part that has loosened because of the vibration, in 95% of the cases its a screw that needs to be tightened. And the issue needs to get fixed because its much less effective for your oral health atm but you need to be smart about it. Do this:
Contact philips, show them video, ask for consent in writing that you can open it witgout voiding warranty and fix the problem yourself in top 20 mins where 18 mins is you struggling to open the bottom cap, instead of sending it to a workshop for 3 weeks.. or worse, they send you a new one and this fully usable device ends up as unessecary electrical waste.
