I saw in another video where they cut the paper into various strips and used for a layered look on another project (I save all my scraps for various uses!). Question....after the gesso dries, can you go back and add more distress oxide? I’d like to see what those backgrounds where used for 🙂thanks for the tips!
Once the layer of Gesso is on I would probably use acrylics on top. I will be starting to layer on top of these backgrounds in the next few days.
Great idea!! My acrylic paints are too strong. I like my backgrounds to be muted or light colored. I dont have gesso. What if i use diluted white acrylic paint??
Diluted White paint would also work. Even a soft body paint would cover a bit, but not entirely.

Where can we buy the gesso you used in your video
You can buy Liquitex Gesso at most Art Supplies stores, and maybe Michaels. However, Dina Wakley's Gesso is also thin and would do the same job.
