Ok, I have made this and have also gobbled it down. I absolutely love it. For me personally, being a rookie I would like to mention:
    1. I am someone who doesn't really like my dishes sweet, I tried adding a little rock sugar but still I find it too sweet for my liking so I balanced it back with a little more crushed white peppercorn and it was PERFECT.
    2. The soup/gravy is fantastic with rice. I imagine it will be nice with porridge too.
    3. Along with everything Ah Pa added, I also put in a few hydrated shitake mushrooms.
    Thank you for the recipe!

Makes me hungry just by looking at it. Yummy chicken. 🐥Btw Ah Pa usually I use cold water (the normal tap water) for my cooking. Too troublesome to use hot water.

I sub the ginger with ginger tea packet as I did not have fresh one on hand. Also only used taukwa and its not bad for me. Taste like normal 卤汁 in singapore

Hi Ah Pa. Thanks, lovely video. I have 2 questions la because it kinda reminds me of my late popo's dish (pork).
    1. Can I add white pepper? Do u think it'll be nice? If yes how much would you say would be just nice? Haha i know individual thing but rookie here.
    2. The egg, i really like the kind that the yolk not totally cooked still a little runny. Possible?
    Thanks
