GO FAST RISK EVERY THANG: The Wild Story of Ken Block’s ’22 Rally Racing Title Chase
Vložit

- GO FAST RISK EVERY THANG. This is the mantra that we often have to use when racing rally. Sometimes it leads to champagne ceremonies, sometimes to crashed cars. In the 2022 American Rally Association season, it often led to both. While there were many wins and successes throughout the season, there was also mistakes and setbacks. So, we had to go fast and risk everything to chase that title right to the end - and this is the behind-the-scenes story of how that all went.

🔥 LEGENDS NEVER DIE 🔥
You inspired many hoonigans
KEN we miss you!!
:(
Okay, but if you're scared- you're driving beyond your capabilities, actually.
Being fast come after you conquer being smooth, and you don't do that by driving beyond your capabilities. You do that by developing a relationship with your machine and the track you're on.
[HOONIGAN]
I'm sure Ken is looking down right now going, "a snowmobile, really?" He pushed the envelope in so many different vehicles. He was crazy, and talented, and driven. Prayers for his family, you'll be missed.
Backcountry Snowmobiling is pretty insane he died doing what he loved doing
On average One person a day dies getting out of the shower/tub here in the United States..deaths all around us.
A snowmobile is basically a winterized version of a motorcycle. If you push the line it's no suprise that such things can happen. I ride motorcycles and the sheer danger you are in while riding is not lost to me. I'm well aware that without my gear the concrete can turn my body to ground beef (literally, and beware googling images. it is graphic) and even with a full suit of the best gear i can still hit something or land just right and still lose limbs, be impaled, get organs ruptured, and break bones. Doesn't stop me from riding, but i want people to be aware that vehicles that are basically just you riding an engine can be very dangerous and can kill you so fast you didn't even comprehend it before it happened.
I wish he never went on that mountain... I will forever only jetski.. no snow or two wheels for me
I prefer to fall of a cliff in a car than a snowmobile I would have a higher chance of surviving because of the roll cage
Very bittersweet watching this again. I'm not usually affected by "celebrity" deaths, baring a very few musicians, but the loss of Ken hit hard. He and the whole Hoonigan entity has entertained, inspired and educated me since the first Gymkhana
Agreed. Chester Bennington was the only other one that really hit hard for me

No no no ...I love watching Ken Block. Watching him race was nothing short of fantastic, but watching how he interacted with everyone and down to earth his presence was something special on its own. The loss of Ken is the only celebrity death that has actually affected me. I just can't believe he's gone. That dude means everything to motorsport culture in this country. Sucks that he's gone. I hope his family find peace after this tragedy.

I feel you. I found out about Ken shortly after Gymkhana 7, and watching him drive and seeing the Hoonicorn for the first time brought back a passion for the automotive industry that at the time I was losing. Him and the guys at Hoonigan have been my inspiration for the last 8 years, still have a dream of joining the team one day. He was truly an incredible person.

My heart goes out to Travis and to everyone who ever knew Ken personally. First Dave Mirra and now Ken. These three guys have had such a huge impact on vert sports and rallying in the US and on XGames and on inspiring people to do their best no matter their age. It's been truly incredible to watch them perform not only at the top of their game but expanding what EVERYONE thought was possible. Ken has been such a great entertainer and such a great person. I'm truly honored to have been alive to see the likes of Jordan, Pastrana, Mirra and Block. What lives they have led. Race in Heaven, Ken.

So freaking sad right now. I can’t believe it. What an absolute legend you are. One of the most talented human beings ever to make a hard top roof car dance the way you do. My dearest condolences to the entire Block family.
😢💔🙏🏁
I'm still struggling to believe Ken Block is gone. He's created so much excitement for millions of people worldwide. From his competitors to those who attend the racing to people sitting at home watching a screen like me. He's going to be missed terribly.
