    It's Soccer in Australia, because we already had Australian Rules football, and Rugby! Soccer comes from Association Football in the UK, they call it Football, we are right not them! 😁 Yep, the light is always brighter in Australia, at least 7 months of the year! If aren't smiling within a day here, you weren't paying attention, 'no worries mate'! 😄 At Christmas, we just wear our summer best outfits, with a cossie underneath, it's a long hot day! 🥴 Ross is a busy teacher at high school and still has time for CZcams! 🤔 We really love sports in Australia, and there are always opportunities here! 😊🇦🇺

    We do call soccer as Soccer to differentiate it from rugby and Aussie Rules football AFL.
    We also don't need to tip for anything, unless you feel the need. 🥴🤗

    Hey, when a new neighbour moves in close to me, I mean just the surrounding houses, I go and introduce myself and take some fruit from my garden or eggs from my chooks. It's much nicer knowing the people you live near, you can have a chat and you look after each other.

    Nice reaction mates , hes not wrong about places closing early, I was born and lived in a small country town in WA , on Saturday most of the shops would close at 12 and not open till Monday , Sunday trading was unheard of

    The reason you have to tip in America is because service people are not paid enough to make a living. They need that tip to make ends meet. In Australia, service people are paid a decent wage, so they don't need a tip.

    If I was travelling to America I would tip. That is why I want to go but don't. I won't pay corporations to exploit their employees. Love you guys.

    Soccer comes from ASOCCiation Football.
    In Australia we have three other forms of football:
    Rugby Union (original Rugby from English school called Rugby;
    Rugby League (breakaway from Rugby);
    Australian Rules Football (originating in Victoria, Australia).
    As well as Soccer, we also have a Gridiron League and run international teams.

    Ross's channel is good and has a lot of good information and it's always funny with these vids. But he also has some interviews with other people who have moved to Australia. You need to check his channel out more.

    Summer holidays from school start around a week before Christmas. Kids get all summer to play with Christmas presents. Your kids could learn geography instead of active shooter drills. I have a 24 hour Macca's three minutes from my place and I am in the suburbs.

    If you really look into it soccer came from England. I can't remember the details but quite a few websites that found said they had football then soccer then back to football. I think it's just pride.

    You could run into difficulties teaching american english to aussies, we use different words and spelling. You also say things differently than we do. An american married to an aussie and living here, is a bit annoyed that the usa still takes taxes, wherever in the world you are. It's a pain at the bank. One of the good things here, you don't have to add sales tax, it's already in the prices.

    apart from Europe and parts of South America, it;s Soccer. Football is AFL, or maybe rugby - certainly not what the USA call Football where only one guy in a team actually kicks it. You guys throw the ball around - how on earth is the NFL football? You guys should call it hand ball :D
