This movie was so different than others. Love the Chef, Ralph Fiennes is such a great actor. It is a good psychological thriller with several things you think you figure out then totally different things happen. I enjoyed your comments and reactions as usuall!❤
The fake rescuer at the end was the scallop fisherman at the beginning - remember, you only saw him from the back.

There’s a newish theory that Slowik used over-aged, bacteria riddled beef to poison Margot, but I don’t buy it: I genuinely believe she gave him surprise and delight
I don't buy it either. I don't think chefs who are obsessed with getting the food perfect would serve subpar meat.
I don't agree with it because it just doesn't make any sense. He even tells her that she shouldn't have been there and even exposed how she was taken there knowing she'd die. Doesn't make sense to tell her she shouldn't be there only to poison her in the end.
The director and screenwriters said she lived so that theory is pretty much out the window

@@ACinemafanatic He wouldn't have killed her. He knew her to be a service worker like him. She gave him the desire to cook one last meal, the cheeseburger.
My two favorite things about this movie are how they cue up all these things where you think you see something coming and then they go in a different direction. Plus it's all about a restaurant that charges thousands of dollars per meal and that cheeseburger at the end is the only food that makes your mouth water. Such a good movie.
The original idea for the actor was to use Daniel Radcliff as an exaggerated version of himself. But eventually they got John Leguizamo who created a character he based on Steven Seagal.

My favorite part of this movie is the ending scene, I can feel Slowik happiness when he was ordered to make Cheesrburger.

I mean some people don’t need student loans because they get full ride or other things like that isn’t on her and most certainly not her fault that he didn’t. But reasoning with him is not going to work because logic wouldn’t help you.

Ladies I love your reactions but I always find I have to turn the volume up and down as you're louder than the movie, so when you scream the mic sound cracks and breaks, respectfully can you invest in better mics or maybe push the mics further away, i dunno, again I say this respectfully
