That is very true, I’ve lived alone the majority of my life, not including living with my mum ad dad. Who I miss every single time. It’s 10 yrs April this year 2023 my mum was 3 yrs ago April 20. Unfortunately I was the one that found mum?? It still breakers my heart and yes I still live alone. It’s so hard, cos we did everything together. 😢😢😢😢😢😢❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🇬🇧🙏🙏

Matt, I love how you spread your arms out to experience their wall of sound & just drink it in like water!! It is always an extreme joy & pleasure to me to watch you react to Ptx!! I think I speak for most - maybe all - of us Pentaholics on here when I say that we never get tired of watching you appreciate their greatness that we have been doing for different amounts of time. I watched them win the sing-off & have been a Pentaholic for over 10 years.... It never gets old!!
If I ever got rich I would pay for you and all your Pentaholic subs to come to a central place where Ptx is doing a concert, pay for VIP front row seats & a weekend at a local hotel & we would just all hug each other & talk about Ptx & whatever else we'd all want to say!!! I really, really would do that if I had the money. Thank you for being there for us!! Your positivity is healing. I have some major medical problems & so does my hubby (a disabled veteran) & my daughter - so life is pretty hard on us medically. But we try to stay positive. Don't get me wrong I love PTX's new stuff. They have grown so much as artists and are so polished. The sound mixing for their new concerts has been top-notch. Matt Sallee is extremely talented and brought a great vibe to the group. However, there is just something special about their old stuff. It has such a fun energy. I loved their EDM covers with Kevin and Avi on the beat. It was magic.

For many years, Bohemian Rhapsody was THE song that THEY thought they couldn't do. Until they did it.
This, along with cheerleader, are two of my most PTX played songs. I have other favorites as far as what I watch reactions for. And I have other songs that I may enjoy better. But admittedly, as far as most played goes, this definitely tops the list

They covered "How Will I Know" as a tribute to Whitney shortly after she passed away.
(((Matt))) hugs. They did backup vocals for one of Whitney Houston's Christmas songs which was already recorded. They added their backup vocals to it. They love Whitney Houston. Often the reason they don't do a particular song or artist is because they can't get the rights, or the rights cost too much.
As for nailing the beat, one of the things it takes (I've heard) is some sort of earpiece that feeds them the beat.
As for songs that they "can't" do, I can't think of any. I can, however, think of a few that they *wouldn't* do (I've run into a few incredibly dirty songs in my time - don't worry; I won't go into detail).
Regarding how much recognition is due to Pentatonix, at all stages of their career, I believe you're preaching to the choir, Matt.

@@beverlykrebs4372 there are a few artists out there that Pentatonix admits that they could never do right by. So they will not cover their songs. They will never do anything that they don't feel they could give credit completely too. But for what they do, they don't do the covers. They do upgrades. Otherwise they just don't touch it😉

In concert, their in-ears include a click track to help keep them on beat since in the generally pretty loud concert environment they would have trouble hearing each other to stay in sync, I don't think they use that for studio recordings (which is what are used for the videos), they just do as many takes as it requires to get everything spot on.

This song was released in 2012, when PTX was part of "Madison Gate Records" (owned by Sony Picture Entertainment), but the autogenerated audio created by CZcams said that it was owned by RCA (their current label, owned by SME)...
Probably RCA has rights also on their older stuffs...
As for copyrights, try switching your screen and the music video size.

Their older stuff is usually not at risk of being blocked. Try End Of Time; As Long As You Love Me x Wide Awake; Payphone; Pusher Love Girl. That last one is a particular favourite of mine. They have done one and a half Whitney Houston songs: How Will I Know, as a tribute, 10 years ago, off mic and no studio production; and they added background vocals to Do You Hear What I Hear for one of their more recent Christmas albums.

With the PTX videos getting blocked, maybe if you make the video smaller, make it translucent, AND place somewhat translucent text over the video saying something like "copyright protected" the blocked videos will go through? It seems to work for some reactors, but I know that what works for one doesn't seem to work for another. There don't seem to be any definite set rules that work for everyone. Thank you for continuing to try (and for loving all stages of Pentatonix). I'm glad they bring you joy. Thank you for sharing that joy with us.

I don't think there is any song they can't do. They killed Bohemian Rhapsody, which I would think would have been one of the hardest to do.
They took a couple of years between their evolution of music, where they first introduced a piece of that song, until they did the full fledge version. They are never willing to put out anything that they don't feel they can do right by. Which is why there are certain artists that they do not touch. If they don't feel they can do it justice, they don't do it.
You should react to the live version of this with Quincy Jones announcing them.

Taylor Swift is the artist they haven't been able to do. They've tried but it hasn't worked.
Avi and Kevin apparently meshed from when they first met the day before PTX audition for the SingOff and Avi had been singing as part of the rythmn section in college with his group Fermata Nowhere. (Very funny version of 12 Days of Christmas 2008 with Avi in a featured role BTW).
Then Kevin and Avi shared an apartment for several years as well starting out but not as long as Scott and Mitch did.

I notice that their more current label seems to be friendlier to reactors. Its usually part of my reason that Come Along is my early recommendation but it starts before that but you probably will count on worries for when Avi was around until the last like two years (so like 2016 releases forward).
PS: this version is much better than the originals by Swedish House Mafia (altho I do like the dogs in the SHM video of the Save the World)

I noticed you’ve been reacting to Todrick lately. Well he did a parody of Ptx called Pentatodrix. He plays all the members and does this song mashed up with daft punk medley. I think you would like it. Superfruit even reacted to it if you want to watch with them. It’s more fun to see them laughing at it then just watch the video alone.
