- Last summer we turned a snowmobile into a dirt mobile in this video • Off Road Reverse Trike... Now that it is snowing again we wanted to see if we could make it a snow machine with snow tracks for an ATV or side by side.

The evolution of this can best be described as a beached whale. It evolved from ocean to land then back to the water in spectacular fashion, and is now absolutely useless on land.
Ha ha yes love this analogy!
The question now is which direction will it evolve next. I suggest ocean going 💦
Snowmobile to trike to quad back to snowmobile lol
I want them to put role cage on snow mobile
That seems like a very bad idea, so if course
Should we make a 4WD snowmobile next? We have ideas… It’s very doable…
That sounds awesome 👏🏻
great idea
Go for it!
Ab-so-lutely
Sounds pretty stupid, so i think it's a good idea.
I love how grind hard always builds things nobody needs but everyone wants, quite the inspiration...
you know that’s actually a good way of putting it 🤔
Right! Here DFW we don’t get enough snow for one but I really want one now.
Speak for yourself, I need everything they have built
@@scottgm321 We got like 1/2" of ice here in Garland 🤣
@@bustinyanutz4195 🤣👍
You got a love the sound of a snowmobile echoing through the woods!
I’d say like music to my ears but it is definitely better than any song I’ve ever heard
Do the neighbors though? 🤔
I really enjoy seeing all of your crazy builds... I highly recommend a safety tether kill switch on all snowmobiles. Speaking from experience with runaway sleds pinned wide open. Cheers guys!
Thanks man! This one does have a safety tether.
"Don't worry, I have a map of all the spare parts in my head."
That's awesome! Great stuff!
Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations, you have built the first snowmobile, that can be high centered!
Nope they all can... Done it by high centering on the belly pan just In front of the track in really deep snow
@@dodgeme1986truck not as easy as that p.o.s.
You know that these guys have amazing content when there is a 6x6 ranger just casually sitting there and its not the center of attention lol. Keep it up guys, this project is definitely up there for the best sounding, music to the ears
Haha! Thanks man! The Ranger will be getting a lot of love soon!
For whoever reads this have an amazing day!!
you too ;)
You too kind sir
No you
Thanks!
The acoustics of that place, hearing the sound of the engine echo it sounded so awesome. What a useless but fun looking contraption. I like how Edwin got his little comment in editing about the fuel jug 🤣👍
the shadow from welding above the chain at 5.54 is a brilliant shot! amazing project once again guys keep up the awesome work.
@WETA♥️ More like berlin homosex lmao
Next throw a set of tracks on the front, give em power (somehow) and see what that does. The snow-4-tracker?
That would be cool!
With all the of the weight of those tracks think about power steering
Phazers are actually really good old snowmobiles. Quite good power and lightweight.
The dual track snowmobile reminds me of the first time I sailed a Hobie catamaran - it felt like it was impossible to turn. With the widely spaced tracks an solid axle, I bet that snowmobile also wanted to keep going straight.
Great job on the video folks! Thanks for making it.
Will always be one of my favorite channels. Love yalls attitude towards life. Keep grinding boys your an inspiration to all who think they can't build.
Two track snowmobiles already exist. I have two of them. 1973 and 1974 Raider Twin Tracks. They are fun!
You guys have the most incredible mechanical imaginations! What a beast! I love it!
Haven't even watched the video but this thing looks absolutely MINT 🤝🏼
Thanks!
It’s not a dumb idea. Two track snow mobiles. Are for carrying supplies. If you put a small truck bed or some type of flat bed on the back. The added weight will help keep the tracks down. Plus you’ll be able to carry a small load. They use to make two track snowmobiles. Back when there were less roads in forested hard to get to regions.
that two stroke screaming echoing through the hollow is awesome
Great video!!..... that would be a riot on a medium/big river or lake !!!.....side hill climbing & ditch runnin not so much !!....thanks for putting in the work and filming it for us to enjoy !!
The only way this ride could be better is if you converted a side by side into a one man snowmobile.
Solid Rear Single Swing Arm w/Traction Bars
IFS with the option of removable drive wheels. So that they can swapped over to skis when needed. This ride needs floating fenders to help with Snow Roost. Maybe a VERY INVOLVED CREATION of a Dual Rear Swing Arm setup may make this more rideable and competitive. Great work guys!
I'd like to see what you could do with a Raider Snowmobile.
I was just watching Peter Sripol’s propeller snow bike video and thought I wonder how well a duel track snowmobile would work and this notification popped up.
Ask and you shall receive!
МОЛОДЦЫ---ПРИКОЛЬНЫЕ ПЕРЕДЕЛКИ👍👍👍
These guys go hard, I remember when they had less than a million subs. They were still killing it.
Where the swing arm pivot is, replace the stiff arms you made with a rubber trunion snubber, which will allow it to still pivot, but return to it’s ‘neural position’, allowing it to compensate for changes in terrain.....
Man you guys never cease to amaze me with all the sick builds you guys do. 🔥👍✌️
Those tracks with powder paddles might be a whole lot more interesting
This is true.
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo I think it would make it a worthwhile machine you should use some belting and just attach your own to check out the theory
I've always thought a dual track snowmobile would be like a super powerful four-wheeler
Ive been wanting to build something like this for 8 years now, great to see it built
YEEEeeeeeeeee! The boys here again doing it right! Droppin these tasty vids on the reg and keepin us comin back for MOAR.
Oh yeah we’re doing to a week now! And I’m happy about it
That looked like an Awesome day! Summertime means sand dunes and bloated tired on the "Go-Mobile".The tracks will have you wearing dirt, and the front 'sand-rail' tires will let you steer.Just throwing the balls into your court, and you guys obviously have them.
So it's basically a 4 wheeler with tracks and skiis?
That thing sounds amazing at full tilt!!
Should install independent breaks, think tank steering.
Looks dope AF !!!!! 🤘🤘
I want to take it for a ripp !
The imagination and creativity involved with everything y'all build or modify is so inspirational, keep it up guys love everything y'all do 🤙
I was gonna post a pic of the snowmobile that I built but it wouldn't let me in the comments... Y'all should build an amphibious power wheels!! Again, thanks for the motivation fellers
Dude that thing looks so good when its airborne, it might be useless in pretty much every other way, but when its getting jumped.... I dont know what exactly is getting me fired up about when its in the air but it has something...
Love the echoes of that beast in the hills around you👌🤘😎🍻🍺🍻🍺
Edwin!! The flow is looking awesome 👌👏👍
The snowmoatvbile was one of those great drunken ideas that seemed great when you're inebriated lol
Wow, that echo sound is sexy :D
Riding a snowmobile is one of the last things to do on my bucket list. Hope to do it some day, seems like so much fun.
Great amounts of snow, makes men do funny things! Love it!
Crazy cool build. I wouldn’t want one but I can appreciate the build. Really cool
Watching you guys puts a smile on my face
Being as I used to an avid snowmobile enthusiast. at first I thought it would be twice as good as a regular snowmobile, with the twin tracks. but it wasn't long before Ethan convinced me that it wasn't probably such a good snowmobile. a person would think traction would be really good but not so much. I don't recommend high marking with that sled.
Another sweet ass idea brought to fruition - you guys rock!
Oh boy do I have a challenge:Tracks on the 6x.Trax for the front, and lock the steering for the back and put tracks over the 2 rears.(like the skid-steer).
That air and drifting was sick! 😀💯
It would be really cool to evolve this build into an independent rear suspension, with those tracks
yes, and they should make it a bit less wide for trail application.
and maybe review the gears ration.
Awesome guys, Keep the vids coming..
"Yes"
4×4 that thing some how
Damn animal
Love it guys 👍
You guys are the bomb! Even when you make something that sucks, it's still awesome.
That would be sick with the tracks on and the front wheels back on in the summer!
"I have a map of all the spare parts...in my head" lol
I pinned the throttle wide open didn't help the situation but made me feel better. Love it
very cool to see this monster evolve
Looks pretty cool!
I thought it was going to preform better then it did with the dual track set up, still looks fun 👍🏻
Should make it 4x4 with 4 tracks. That thing is sick.
Damn that looks fun
That thing is the bomb!! Would love see that at the dunes..👍✌✌
One of my favorite builds now. Lol, sick Phazer
You build some amazing stuff 👏
You should make it dully tracks. Like the truck same setup as this or the same setup with on wide track from left side of axle all the way to right larger contact area for launching out of corners and better weight dispersion
The sound of the snowmobile echoing😍😍
Only snowmobile I've seen that needs a winch! Looks fun!
Your videos and builds always make me smile! Please keep up the insanity!!!
Thanks man!
I think taking both of them track systems building a go kart of a frame one single seat with a track on each side like a mini ripsaw would be awesome
Glad you guys said it.
You should use the engine in something fast. But build a 4x4 tracked crawler recovery vehicle with the tracks. Something meant to go slower, with plenty of gearing, but with a winch and boom. Use propane for fuel so it always starts? You could do snowmobile recoveries too. But you could have a snow overland rig with a sled for it too. Just a thought.
i was a Polaris tech in northern wisconsin in the 1990's. im NOT sure of the manufacturers name right now, but there was a 2 track snowmobile called THE RAIDER! you sit IN it like a convertible car.
if you put a tunnel or 2 tunnels on it, you would control the snow on your back.
the dealership i worked at had 30 rentals so i had to go out each morning, sometimes at 20 below zero and pull start 30 sleds to warm them up, the electric start was for customers only.
Insane ! Well now you just gotta to host a Skidoo Drifting competition !
Well done Guys , Your team never fails to deliver excellent content
Great content fellas Love it
Wait until the snow is gone and put some wheels on the front of that sled, that might be more fun yet.
So many great videos and somehow you have always kept to the same basic theme.. love the channel!
I love the echo of the motor !
This is awesome and i bet this thing would be even better with some proper tracks on it like the rear tracks off a side x side.
I thought the same thing about the tracks not really having paddles for snow riding. Bet it would eat those hill climbs up with some snow tracks.
So ya made a cool sounding trail sled! Like the can noises
Awesome dude!
Have you ever driven a snowmobile
Nooo
Sick dude😂😂😂
Another great video by my favorite CZcams Chanel ever:)) any updates on those huge shop plans?..
That is so AWESOME!
All that is is a sport quad with a track set on back and a ski kit on front. I do it all the time with my raptor. Now I just strap tracks around the tires
You should try making little plastic tunnels and put them over each track
My OCD went wild when you had the wheels offset to one side and not properly centered, but I literally can not take it with the tracks being like this.
Haha! I feel you. It drives me insane too, but it wasn’t worth fixing for this silly project.
congrat you found a way to make a snowmobile less able to go threw snow and less menuverable
"I have a map of all the spare parts in my head."
Sounds like something I would say when people ask me if I can find anything in my garage.
same
I still can’t get over how good that thing sounds
We had these big two track sleds that were for pulling up in Canada. I forget who made them. The front end was square. They were cool haven’t seen one in a decade though
Bombardier Alpine 1
I think I’ve seen one of those!
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo Knew a prospector used those up in the bush here in Northern Ontario .. I thought you killed the Tesla in the last video ... how did you resurrect her ?
Active grizzly and there's another one to Ockelbo 8000
i think you guys should hop this up more and put the single LARGEST paddle tire on the back and go sand dragging. Or one big squishy drag slick and go take it to a dragstrip or something. Or just do silly burnouts in it
it looks like my mini tank... but bigger!
It is so awesome and I think it will do good. Good job to your day
I love that engine echo in the forest
U guys need to get a set of Apache tracks for that thing and make fenders. Might be a ripper then
It would be cool if you guys mounted these tracks on the 100hp power wheels👍
Nice video, keep doing the good work
Will do!
Thats awesome! Id love to do that , i bet boondocking would suck with it
Still haven’t forgotten about the electric tank! Also bring back the barbie kart! Do a Harley swap!
