- We built the world's fastest snow bike in one week out of a slightly modified 2005 Hayabusa street bike and Timbersled Riot 3! Both required some heavy modification. The street bike snow bike absolutely rips! Next step is to take this crouch rocket snow bike into the mountains then we will attempt to set the snow bike land speed record!

I'm not sure what the handling trade-off would be, but I'd like to see a set of forks twice as long (like you'd see on a Moto-cross bike). Maybe, that would help put more weight on the track for better traction and help with the front impacts. Insane build and serious props for your mechanical and engineering skills from Canada's east coast. I'm disabled now due to a motorcycle accident when I was 19. "would of" ???...
True. very noble

@@MrSinonime it's actually really strange to read "would of" by a non-native speaker, lol. That's why I like making fun of it, since it's usually stupid Americans spelling it like that despite the fact that they should know better.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy explanation: The short form of "Would have" is would've, which makes a lot of sense, right?

I thought this whole time he was working on two different bikes. 😂😂 That thing is so sick though!
This is hands-down the coolest thing ever I’ve seen super bike dirt bikes, super bike motors on a dirtbike, but never a super bike snow bike. That’s awesome.
YEWWWW
Perfect for beginners!
this thing has the potential to be casted in the next fast&furius movie 😍
This should be named as Suzuki Avalanche. Top notch stuff guys, waiting for more.
Those things are terrifying on the street It's not hard to believe it's that quick in the snow I can't wait to see this one 100% complete
The worst part about these things is that they’re actually not scary to ride on street. I’ve owned mine for about 6 months now, and while the throttle is certainly scary the first couple rides, they’re just so stable and aerodynamic that you can be going 100 and think you’re only going 60
@@skiracerray Have you opened yours up all the way yet?? 🤔
@skiracerray 100% next thing you know your doing 140 everytime you pass a car. On a country road. Way to easy to ride fast. And when you can redline 100+ in first gear.. it's very very hard to behave. Thier is a cure thoe.. it's called handy caping yourself... buy a harley. 120 will feel like 160 and if it's a dyna.. it will be trying to buck you off right around then.
@da1ve468 low e.t.'s that sound like a 16 year Olds question lol. If he's anything like most of us when we were young men... every chance he gets!! Lol
Find yourself doing 160 in a residential lol.
After 120 small bumps n dips can drastically change your line. Unfortunately after 130 it all starts to feel about the same. Kinda like getting off the freeway n finding yourself doing 80 in 55...so you slow down.. and 55 feels like 30.
@@dormantmenace No it's NOT a question from a 16 year old... it's a legitimate question from a responsible adult, who knows better than to just hop onto a high powered vehicle and crank it right open the first time. You sound like a 16 year old.
For being sooo long, heavy and you know... a Busa in the snow, it looks like it drives pretty well! And looks absolutely GORGEOUS
I owned one like this, a 2001. What you did is really far out and you have a lot of guts to ride it in the mountains. Great project guys!

Absolutely love the timelapses in this one. Editing is very on point.
Thanks!
Such a talented guy. I love watching him machine parts
What a mechanic you are sir you are the man
Keep in mind, assuming the ECU hasn't been messed with, peak power doesn't come around until gears 5&6
You don't really need peak power in the snow. Same logic as why he went with a smaller drive sproket
Smaller sprocket = more torque.
smaller front or larger rear sprocket = more torque
Timming retard eliminator is 50$
@@joncollier1934 then why don't more people use 250s?
Other than you guys deserving to grow, I'm stoked what more money is allowing you guys to do even crazier things!
Never thought I would find another Molenaar
A couple of others have put the Timbersled on crotch rockets with interesting and promising results. Going by what Ive seen, I would strongly reccomend installing a K&N filter in the Busa. One of the other videos I saw a guy did this conversion on an R6. When he occasionally fell, he would "scoop" snow into the air intake. Eventually, that snow melted, got past the filter, and hydro-locked the motor. A good K&N filter would have effectively repelled the water. Definitely, look at the intake system on the Busa and make modifications before heading out into the mountains. Be safe, good luck, and thanks for sharing your build. You guys build awesome stuff.
Bro, this build was AWSOME! The Hayabusa always made me nervous when riding someone else's on the street because of the insane torque, but on the snow, I'd be more tempted to tear it TF up! This thing can go around 86 mph in first gear, my guy!
I would pick up a set of handle bar risers for it.
Sport bikes are fun but leaning over and putting all that weight on your wrists (especially off roading) will get tiresome real quick 😉
It would be easy to convert it from clip on bars to dirt bike bars. Some stunt riders do it with their sport bikes. I agree, it would be way more comfortable.
“What kind of promise is that Ethan?” You are the best, Will! Can’t wait to take this thing for a rip after we set the world record!
world record?
@@siemcaelers791 maybe top speed on snow bike or something with the bussa 🤷♂️
I think any record has already been done. Look to the crazy Finns. Not especially new thing to see, turboed is not uncommon.
I'm not sure making a 'busa into a snow-bike is such a loophole they think it is.
bro, i love your work. people working with hands are rare. also the enthusiasm you have for working on the project is inspiring.
DEFINITELY needs some taller handlebars! Maybe trim those fairings for snow clearance? This thing seriously kicks ass. I cant wait to see some high speed lake runs or something on it. Also, paint job on the bronco is AMAZING. What a great blurple
Not only an exceptional fabricator, but your A beast of rider too. Don't see those combined all the time!! Good job guy's.
What's the point in building if you won't enjoy the riding ?
Awesome build, I guess I just don't understand all the smoke in the shop, maybe because I'm almost 60. I've ridden many a beast. Be careful, that thing will bite you in the ass in a heartbeat. Be careful guys.
Somebody give this guy a award 👏
That’s an epic snow bike! Well done guys
This, along with the concept of the snow bike in general, is one of those "what if?" thoughts that drifts in and out of my head; it's awesome to see someone who can actually follow through on it entertain those thoughts.
It is a blast!

I had a first gen ‘Busa for many years and rode it aa my daily driver. Of the 10 bikes I have owned it was my fav. It’s a wonderful bike. Comfortable, reliable , handles very well and that power is so amazing and addictive. I very rarely went ridiculous speeds, but when I did, it was like riding a jet fighter on 2 wheels.
Your channel popped up out of no where like 4 years ago. I’m glad it did 😂 amazing the builds that go down

So many fun filled hours. Lol.
Ride safe ✌🍻
WAIT, WAIT....... What about Öhlins forks for Africa Twin, and a little longer rear shock? Fox isn't everything. You guys can afford it....
It needs a few layers of laminated road sign, as a skidplate! I would bob the entire lower portion of the fairing, and put the plate as close to the pipes as possible. Actually trim down as much of the fairing, as possible...or even replace it with a 1960's, and 70's era GP style fairing, in a "mini" form. It'll be dope seeing the pipes, and faired much more trim, overall...... You can get it to have much better clearance + lower lean angle. I have faith.
Please be safe fellas. wear all your gear, every time. We just lost Ken Block.
I love the humbleness behind you guys, still doing builds in the same shed I watched videos in years ago lol. Looks like the house has been getting some upgrades? 👀 Can't wait to see what you guys do in the future and maybe even get a new shop built! Keep crushing it with the content! 👏
Awesome build! Thanks for sharing
Nice build & it's very fast, but a heads up - I would fit a rear shock too, the Hayabusa subframes had a tendency to snap even with a rear shock fitted, this can happen when the exhausts are replaced with a lighter aftermarket system as the original exhaust is stronger & helps support the subframe where it attaches to it. With the extra weight & the fact the fronts twisting the subframe could snap, it's happened on road going Hayabusa's that aren't being jumped.
Maybe an exoskeleton would be appropriate for such a snow bike. I can't wait to see how how you guys take it. Maybe a snow camper to pull? Whatever you guys do, stay safe
I feel like an exoskeleton, rollcage and a new life insurance policy is in order for this bike 😅
An exoskeleton with angled mini outrigger skis to help with leaning.
An ejection seat seems more appropriate 😳
I keep saying this, but this is one of the craziest things you guys have done
Haha! Thanks! We do keep getting crazier with the builds…

Wow, that thing is crazy! Incredible work!
Wow! now that was quite the build. I’m always impressed with people that can engineer things and make them work. Your skills on the lathe remind me of my Dad, he had a pre WW2 Atlas lathe at home back in the early 50’s when I was a kid. That engine just revs so quickly it’s insane. I can’t wait to see how she goes when you get her out in the open. Maybe someone has a radar gun and can track the speed or I guess satellite speed from the cell phone would do the trick. Nice build guys.👍👍🇨🇦
Nice so your dad was a real man then with old school skills he had to learn the proper way not bags of cash and computer code.
@@TrollingHistory my brother and I are learning the same thing now. he bought a lathe from pre 1920's to build homemade components for gokart builds and etc. but with how old and broken and beat up it is, we have to fix it first, a learning experience of it's own.

I'm 57. Been riding since I was 4. I currently own 7 bikes.
Raced flat track for 12 years. Been wearing a club patch for over 20.
The one bike that truly scared me was a Hayabusa I borrowed from the president of a riding club around here. It only took it a couple hundred feet to do it. Was fine after that, but respect is needed to keep hold of one of those when running em hard.

Totally digging this build you guys are insane!!!!!!🍻
The physics behind this snow-bike are amazing! Usually it is the wheels and tires of the bike through centrifugal force that keeps the bike balanced and upright preventing it from tipping or falling over, but we do not have this here, so I imagine it is a bit more tricky to keep this thing upright...
Not really .. you're constantly steering a bike under its own centre of gravity. No gyro effect needed
Probably the coolest project on CZcams!

The driving Timelapse from the back seat and seeing the map on the screen move as y’all go was too cool lol
This is the most exciting snow build I’ve seen in years. Once you get the bugs worked out you should track down someone who owns a new Arctic Cat Thundercat Turbo or the Yamaha SRX equivalent, line them up on a long flat field and see which is faster. I’m subscribing.
