Although, even if it is what it says, children shouldn't love their parents unconditionally either. Some parents are abusive or outright dangerous. Again, I am not referring to this situation, but rather the attitude being espoused. Unconditional love is dangerous and people should not encourage it.
Yeah tbh as someone with a super abusive mom who just wanted to hurt me as much as possible, I totally relate to "how long can you love someone who don't love you back?" Just because you're biologically related to someone doesn't mean you have to be love them when they stop loving you. It always has to go both ways in any relationship. 50 Cent is one of the realest human beings. I could listen to him to speak on life for hours.
Marquise is entitled but no amount of money is a substitute for emotional support and guidance from a father. My dad died when I was 12 and we were broke when he was alive and the life insurance changed that but I would give it all up to be able to learn from him and talk to him because he had so much to teach me.

The reason for the discrepancy in child support is because he was paying them 25k a month until she took him to court asking for more, then the judge decided he only had to pay 6,700.

@@victoriabonnell7 Absolutely, it's a both big and small thing but take the sneaker story. Obviously don't know what is true or false in that situation but just lets take it face value. Him not valuing what he just got seem to be the kind of learned behavior you see when the other parent expects to be getting more for nothing. And no that is not a mother issue, plenty if fathers have turned their kids towards their mother in all sorts of ways.
That should be the perfect moment to step in as a father to really learn your kid the value of money. So in that situation he let his dislike for his own kids behavior take over rather than viewing it as a moment that could be a correction that would give him a real lesson. Not that the kids in our family have had private jet experiences but in the early years they were much more spoiled than me and my siblings were.
No one liked the result and because it was early created rules, they can't just go to an uncle, aunt or grandparent for money when they want something all the time. There is a time and place for gifts and because we are in better positioned than our parents they bigger things. It was just also very important for them to know if you get something you are supposed to be grateful, mannered, and don't expect it to be a regular occurrence. And more importantly the value of earning their own money. Today like me and my siblings used to, they almost uncomfortable when it's a big gift like a car. And even made an agreement that they will work off half of the cost. They are going to be in even better positions than we were, but none of them treat money and anyone in the family as an unlimited ATM machine.

I know a guy that has a rich family near me. I didn't learn I had "daddy issues" until I was gasping for air in the recruiting center doing exercises and running at 16 years old. I had an interest in the military at the time, by my own accord. A MSgt. pulled me aside and asked me why I'm stopping. And then he said, "How would you feel if your dad saw you like that? Would he be proud??" I said no. "Did he ever say he was proud of you" and I said "no.." and he told to me go back. I tried to walked it off but I broke into tears and I couldn't pretend to be tough. He consoled me and apologized for revealing some trauma in me.
My point is.. at 24 years old rn, it still hurts me sometimes and I still cry if I ever think about how much my dad wasn't there for me. It always felt like he didn't like me. We can pretend to be tough and rugged but having a shitty Father/Son relationship is fucking tough on the sons.. I never knew how much I genuinely wanted to be appreciated or told how proud he is of me. And I know a lot of us men feel this way.

As a child of divorce, not every child needs to see/interact with/have a relationship with their separated parent. I would give anything for my dad to leave me alone because he is not a positive force in my life. 50 seems to understand that his relationship with his son is beyond repair and separation is the best option - wishing your child dead is a bit too far, but I can also see how he got to that point after his son continuously antagonized him, yes he's a child but he also seems like a complete a-hole, and being a parent doesn't make you immune to being hurt by your children - if anything those are the people who can hurt you most.

My youngest boy will turn 19 next month. Man its been a hard slog with him. The teenage years generally are and I've found that the hardest part of being a father is making the hard calls that make you unpopular. Hell sometimes they even think they hate you but I've seen the results of the sons whose fathers were either too weak, soft or lazy to make those calls generally they've ended up raising weak, soft and lazy men. Entitlement is never a good look and I stand here now so fucking proud of my boy. Of my 3 sons he was definitely the hardest to raise through the teenage years but damn he's a good dude.
