At 44, I've witnessed countless moments since 1990, but that goal stands out as the best I've ever seen England score. I love it for what it meant in the moment. It even surpasses Michael Owen's 1998 goal and Gazza's iconic strike in 1996.
I agree totally, I literally jumped out of my slippers when he scored. When you have had heartache after heartache over the decades with England, these moments are priceless. (I did my back in too! I'm 60)

One of the good things about this team is that the bench is luxuriously fantastic, and that lads on it are sent on the pitch when they’re necessary for the game, at a moment they’re not tired yet. Cole Palmer came on fresh and made huge impact. Trent: same with his penalty. Ivan Toney: super fresh, mega impact. Ollie: hello! He won’t start, but chances are he’ll come on later on during the game. And even if he won’t, he’ll still have managed to get the England team in the European final. 👑
That late goal was a magic, these talented players are capable of making it and just wished the coach was as fearless as players
I like that he don't sound like a PR robot like Harry Kane... You can sense his personality😊

Watkins offers lots more than Kane, high intensity pressing from the front, hounding defenders, not giving them time to settle and make light work of their job, running in behind, improved link up play this season and generally terrorising defenders…..
