Re commentators below on corporate election, there is a CZcams video "In Him" : Dr. Malcolm Yarnell on Corporate Election. (Almyra B.). My own thought is that we were each foreknown as souls with a destination of union with Him in Christ, conditional on our freely choosing Him.

The idea that we already know everything about salvation is just that: an IDEA!
We still don't know the true role of the Holy Spirit or Christ or Man in salvation! The final chapters of this story are still missing!

Hasn't Fred Sanders ever heard of the corporate view of election. Why is it, everyone always seems to want to be a Calvinist?

There was no obvious Calvinistic interpretation in his mention of being chosen.

Does Fred Sanders know that the first 300 years of the church adopted the traditionalist view or corporate view of election? And "NO" it is NOT the "Forseen faith" view. It is NOT Classical Arminian.

dragonore2009 Could you provide the names of authors and works which expound the corporate view?

    Sloppy presentation.
Sanders misrepresents Arminian theology and does not give the full story of the dark side of Calvinism

Unless something has changed in his life, my understanding is that Fred Sanders has a Wesleyan view.
