    From Lehigh University Department position on evolution and "intelligent design" The faculty in the Department of Biological Sciences is committed to the highest standards of scientific integrity and academic function. This commitment carries with it unwavering support for academic freedom and the free exchange of ideas. It also demands the utmost respect for the scientific method, integrity in the conduct of research, and recognition that the validity of any scientific model comes only as a result of rational hypothesis testing, sound experimentation, and findings that can be replicated by others. The department faculty, then, are unequivocal in their support of evolutionary theory, which has its roots in the seminal work of Charles Darwin and has been supported by findings accumulated over 140 years. The sole dissenter from this position, Prof. Michael Behe, is a well-known proponent of "intelligent design." While we respect Prof. Behe's right to express his views, they are his alone and are in no way endorsed by the department. It is our collective position that intelligent design has no basis in science, has not been tested experimentally, and should not be regarded as scientific.

    Hello, I encourage you to learn about and develop a relationship with Jesus. It’s about forming a personal connection with Him, not following a religion. We ask for mercy because we have sinned since the time of Adam and Eve. Humans are born with original sin, passed down from Adam and Eve due to their deception by the Serpent (Lucifer). Jesus came 2,000 years ago to save us. Before His arrival, people awaited the one true Messiah. God created the earth, with Adam, Eve, and animals living harmoniously. Due to sin, humans betrayed God and were punished, leading to violence and the killing of animals. Humans are created with a body, soul, and spirit. Animals have souls and can feel emotions like joy and fear, but they lack a spirit. We are made in God’s image, giving us dominion over other creatures on earth. Our bodies are temporary and not meant to last. Everything on earth, including our physical forms, will eventually deteriorate. However, our spirits are eternal and will go to either heaven or hell. Before Christ, people relied on good deeds and awaited Judgment Day. After Jesus came, salvation could not be earned through deeds alone; it required accepting or rejecting Him. Most religions teach that good works and deeds are necessary for entry to heaven. Christianity, however, teaches that no amount of good work can reach God’s pure and perfect standard. God’s grace, through Jesus, is what saves us. Consider a man who gains wealth through killing and robbing. If he later donates to build thousands of hospitals, saving countless lives, he might think he has redeemed himself. However, Christianity teaches that salvation cannot be bought or earned through deeds alone. God’s grace, through Jesus’ sacrifice, offers us the choice and freedom to believe in Him without fear. Unlike other religions, which often use fear and guilt, Christianity offers peace and liberation from guilt through Jesus. Before becoming a Christian, I struggled with guilt and the pressure to be good. Accepting Jesus freed me from these burdens. It took years for my heart to change, and when it did, I experienced real peace and joy. God dislikes self-righteousness. I used to be proud and judgmental, but through Jesus, I found humility and love. Now, I no longer fear death because I trust in Him. Good works are important but are not the key to salvation. That is a gift from God’s grace, which cannot be earned by human efforts alone. God shows mercy because, as sinners, we need salvation that comes from His grace and mercy. Jesus died on the cross to atone for our sins, and His blood has washed them away. If we believe in Jesus, His sacrifice is sufficient; it is not about our own deeds, but about accepting what He has done for us. That is love; Jesus is love. Most religion leaders are emphasis on good work you can try observe they are most proud held themselves high above the rest God detest self righteousness man!

      " I encourage you to learn about and develop a relationship with Jesus" Why do we need to develop a relationship is a myth? "It’s about forming a personal connection with Him, not following a religion." How do you know that you have a relationship? DO you hear voices? If yes, then seek help. "Humans are born with original sin, passed down from Adam and Eve" Big FAT NO. I was born without any sin. Religions want you to believe it, but they are lying to you. "Jesus came 2,000 years ago to save us." No he did not. Dr. Price is correct. The existence of Christ is a myth. You should listen to Bible scholars Dr. Richard C. Miller PhD, Dr. Kipp Davis Ph.D., and Dr. Dennis R. MacDonald. on their discoveries about Christianity while studying other religions. It seems more and more that Christianity is fake and Christians are just a bunch of thieves.

    Whether God ordered the killing, or expulsion of the indigenous people of Palestine, is in one sense irrelevant. The stories, probably entirely fictional, justify something akin to genocide... as is happening now in Palestine. We create belief systems that justifies our actions. One is, of course. the Nazis' actions to the Jewish people... itself only a culmination over centuries of dreadful treatment of Jewish people, not forgetting the England was the first European country to expel its Jewish population. Other Europeans have destroyed native cultures in America, Australia etc., all in the name of "civilisation".

How many horrible things you have done in your life that you need that much forgiveness. You believe in a killer god. During the Noah's Ark episode, not only did God kill all the human beings, but all the animals that lived on land too, except for the two on the Ark. So, why was that? What did God have for the animals? They had no original sin, considering that they had not eaten from the tree of Good/Evil when Yahweh told them not to, they couldn't be punished for not believing in Yahweh, simply because animals don't seem to need religion in their lives. (Have you ever heard of a penguin praying? No, the idea seems silly.) So, why did your God decide that he needed to murder all the animals as well as the humans? Why would you believe in this god?

      There is no automatic link between being specifically Christian and being good. Many Christians like to think there must be, but there is not. Experiencing a real change in your life is great for you, though attributing it to a specific supernatural encounter is more likely to be from delusion or need on you part, rather than the truth of whatever experience you had.

    Many people hope that this reality is the result of no intelligence, in other words that God does not exist, only to escape the responsibility for their deeds, to not be Judged after they leave this world, but they are in error, as I have reasoned into my posts (that can be found, after sorting the comments). By the way, the righteous behavior is both the basis and the fruit of salvation, as Jesus Christ, the human form of Divinity, has said: *_"Be perfect therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect"_* Matthew 5, 48 Unfortunately, too many people have refused over history, and too many still refuse nowadays, to follow this. The unbelievers of the truth are like those who live in "a house" (this world) but do not want both to follow the rules of the Builder/Owner (they denying Him) and to pay "the rent" (which means, in brief, to strive always only for good, for perfection, to never do evil, especially to not do evil intentionally) so that in the end, when they will face the Builder/Owner of the house (at the Judgment), they will regret their incorrect and undeserved using of the house (their earthly life).

      Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. "Religion began when the first scoundrel met the first fool." Voltaire Religion was invented when the first con man met the first fool. Mark Twain Napoleon once said," Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."

  • @filmeseverin
    @filmeseverin Před 16 hodinami

    Here is not Heaven. This short earthly life is a school and exam for our immortal souls (us), for those who did not listen by the Creator to understand the value of "light" without experiencing the "darkness". This reality has been created intentionally so that freedom to be 100% offered, God rewarding accordingly the free choices/deeds *_"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive his due for the things done in the body, whether good or bad."_* 2 Corinthians 5, 10 The problem is with those who have used (are using) their freedom for doing evil on purpose. That is why it is not easy to fight continuously with what Satan has done to this world (carnivores, parasites, viruses, bad bacteria... the so called _"weeds"_ in Matthew 13:24-43) and to ourselves ... because *until our physical death we fight with the works of the fallen angels and of their tools, the evil=stupid people, the consequences of evilness = stupidity.*

    Evidential apologetics really is the natural progression of thought for those who need to believe in god. People have long been content to pick and choose which biblical precepts to follow and which to casually ignore, according to their own whims and convenience. It's not a big leap to dismiss the things that are disproven by science as being subjective and open to interpretation, and to hold that the rest is absolute dogma. I don't agree with it in any capacity, but on an intellectual level, I can see how they come to it. Also I honestly respected Dr. Craig until 2:16:36. What an appalling notion. He is essentially postulating that the world is so terrible because those artificially established conditions of horror and suffering are necessary to knock a large enough proportion of people down low enough that they will feel the need for salvation from god. It is also a directly contradictory to say that those people would be coming freely to god, since, as Dr. Craig posits, it was god who created those conditions, and for the previously stated purpose. I don't know how he can possibly love god on those terms, as he states them. If I light you on fire, and I've got the only bucket of water in the room, you're not coming freely to my salvation, and I am no true friend to you.

      To be fair to Craig you should view his entire reply which begins a couple of minutes earlier. Start with the student's question at 2:14:07 and end at 2:19:33 when Craig finishes his answer. He begins with a philosophical argument, but philosophy can never answer or explain the enormous problem of suffering. However, he ends with a Christian answer: Christ's suffering and death for the sake of humanity. God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself when he died on the cross. Craig says he became a Christian because God revealed to him that he exists, not because of "evidential apologetics" or philosophical reasoning. As a result of his discovery that there is a God, he has attempted to understand and explain God-as much as such an endeavor is possible-by means of logical arguments. He is a philosopher, but it wasn't by means of philosophy that he came to know God. If you think there is no God, then surely all suffering and even life itself is ultimately meaningless. As Dawkins says, "in a universe of electrons and selfish genes, blind physical forces and genetic replication", pointless suffering is exactly what you should expect. If, as Dawkins claims, there is "at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference" then suffering needs no explanation. There's no use being upset about it. It's only if there is a God that the problem of suffering needs to be addressed. Otherwise there's nothing to be indignant about. It just is what it is. "Holy Oneness" How many horrible things you have done in your life that you need that much forgiveness.

      Why did god lie that Adam and Eve would die if they ate from the Tree of Knowledge? Why does god not want humans to have knowledge? Is it because when humans become knowledgeable they will know that there is no god. LMAO Do you think Adam was created from dirt and Eve from his rib? They then repopulated the earth. Isn't that magic? Did Adam reprocreate with his daughters? Is that what the bible is referencing? Do you believe earth is only 6000 years old? Do you believe it is flat as well? Do snakes talk?

      Stop hiding behind skydaddy and start answering questions. Go volunteer somewhere instead of preaching here. You should listen what Matthew 6 tells you to do and follow it. 1 "Be careful not to do your `acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. See especially #1,2,5,6.

      Why did you create new account? Here we go again. As promised. You continue preaching and I will continue showing what you are. Just so everyone can see this. I have added more this time He hates everyone who does not look like him. he said: "As for the LGBTQ+, I can not believe you, if you are of sound mind, really think young teenagers, or even younger, go to perform hormone therapy(!)" He believes that Adam and Eve lived for 900 years He believes snakes can talk but does not tell us what kind of snakes there was. He most likely believes that earth is only 6000 years old. He is a progressive but who knows what it means in his religion. I don't know. 😂😂😂 He also does not deny crossdressing. No judgment there but .... Fresh Apologetics @Leo G Christianity isn't a religion, but a faith. Now, these are the true colors of Christianity. Fresh Apologetics @Leo G You're ignorant about who believes in Christianity. You've proved that right there. You're insinuating things, because you don't know any better. I bet you're a pacifistic leftist. Clueless. Naive. Weak. But, able and eager to spin and manipulate. I have to stipulate that you don't know anything about the people calling them Christians. Continue living in your bubble of sin, and by sinning I mean enjoying the "freedom" without God. Fresh Apologetics @Leo G You keep forwarding your sleazy insinuations. But, it's ok, enjoy my believe in the killer💯 Fresh Apologetics also believe in QANON conspiracies.

    You are calling upon your pretentious ignorance that you are unaware of our familiarity with what we currently refer to as the ‘Singularity’ of a Black Hole. You also know we are currently referring to the source of The Big Bang as another, who knows how comparable ‘Singularity’. Whatever it is / was, it certainly is poorly referred to as “nothing”. Is that you being opportunistic, in an attempt to give credit to the concept of a Creator?
