Hey man how did u get ur rear view camera to even work? I got a rearview camera with the same head unit but apparently I need the OEM steering wheel to get it to work. Any pointers on how I can get around this.
Side cameras are good so you don’t scratch your rims with the curb
Just ordered the same kit gonna install on my bagged accord coupe. .. might do a video as well.. been a while...I have the jdm inspire side mirrors.. really didn't know I had to drill a big hole in em.. 😭..they more expensive than the bird view camera kit. .. of well chop chop.. 🤞.. good video my gee
You often think you don't need gadgets like GPRS and the Bird View camera system until someone steals your ride or some fool collides with you. I learned the latter the hard way. I installed both since. No regrets. There are more simple cameras you can install if you find this one too much. Why i think this one is better, is because unlike the simpler ones, this one can see to the sides. I used a different type of side cameras in mine. They can adjust by hand and you don't have to drill a large hole in the side mirror. You can used either two-sided tape or self-thread screws to hold it in place.

I have a question if you have a camera that has a backup cam usually when you put reverse the back up cam screen shows up. If you install this ? What shows up when you hit reverse ?? The birds eye view screen or the reverse camera screeen.
Both I show it in the video when I put it in reverse the left side of the screen is the birds eye view and on the right is the reverse camera but you can change it in the settings if you only want the reverse camera to show
@@thelostkidsgarage I'm sorry what I meant to say what if a car already comes with a backup cam as default. So when you install this, it manages to still show both ???? even though this product is made by the car company manufacturer officially ?

Where did u connect the red trigger wire for left or right camera? Did u connect to the turn signal stalk?

It took my boy a like an hour because we had to drill holes on the side mirrors and it's still holding up good

No all it needs is a head unit that has video input

Retrofitting tech is so hard, but even though birds eye view 360 cameras is what I don't need, I'd love to try that on my 2006 Forester! Here's hoping newer camera models will be smaller and easier to install! Fantastic job all round. Was the buyer of this Accord impressed by it?

search 'ibeam USA 360'....their full surround camera system is the best third party solution I've personally seen in action. their software (that stiches the camera views together to give the 360 views) work seamlessly as long as you follow the install instructions and calibrate them using the special tape they provide. One guy has a video up showing how you can basically drive just from the 360 view tilted a bit to view forward --no warping or distortion of surrounding cars, and street markings. you'll pay considerably more than the version in this video. but if you've got $1500 to burn, go with them.
