All these comments about Raines vocals...he could sing the alphabet and it's still perfect. His passion, voice and singing goes with the music and time and I prefer his falsetto vs his deeper singing now. Did Kurt Cobain have a great voice? 🤷🏼♀️
They're amazing live. Everything sounds 10x better in person. I think what throws people off Raine's voice and makes it sound off in recordings is his erratic vowel pronunciation.
Seventizz I thought it was good. I’m not sure why Canadian bands couldn’t become big in the US though. The hip never did either. Same with a lot of great Canadian bands.
The beauty of OLP isn’t that he’s a beautiful vocalist, he isn’t. It’s his emotions that make it great
I think the way he sings is beautiful, because it IS him
Love the raw stuff from OLP. I played bass in a OLP Tribute band back in 1999 for a few years. They are so under rated.
That collar isn't messing around
It's a Canadian collar. Lol
Wow. I'd never seen this performance. Pretty sweet!
This is mint.
Love our lady peace
Heading to a Lakehead University reunion...where we all graduated in 98, and this helped me so much to learn how to play it..so thanks.
Glad the clip was useful, and enjoyable for you :)
Cheers to LU
I’m sure the performance was great 👍
@@throwoutable it was

You're most welcome. Always happy to know when someone really enjoys a clip on my channel. Thanks for the note of appreciation.
Unreal the quality in the soundboard here...
Wow forgot how awesome they were
Jeremy Taggart. 🤝
Who else feels old!
Saw them live in 1996. So good. Then last year.
Seen this band at earth day birthday Back in the 90s
Epic!

Amazing
I was at the L.U. Outpost back in 1994 when they played...
Ahh, OLP pre-Duncan on bass?! That's crazy, super old-school.
😍 Slight obsession
He’s actually a better vocalist now.
Raine must have gotten a lot of women back in the day pre-Chantal
Band = 99db
Guitar=130db
Result: actually sounds pretty good. 🤷♂️
Conan said "Are Lady peace" lol
Rain, is really struggling on this effort.
joey handeland This is actually one of his better performances, at least as far as proshot videos on CZcams are concerned.
this video has and edit in it
0:31
and possibly 2:21
Definitely punched in at the 0:31 mark, The second one is just a heavy distortion pedal and hard camera switch on beat though.
Could Rain ever sing live?
yes some songs suited more than others. his voice dropped significantly in pitch too.
depends on the song. sometimes amazing, sometimes not so much. I saw them in 1997 and 1998 and he was spot on.
No, but Raine could.

Bass was drowned out. Still good
great (Our Lady Peace) album NAVEED c.1984!
Not 1984...
1994 buddy
When late night was funny and not political
3:04-3:06 Lol
Chewbacca!!!!
hahahahaah
Sigh, I love OLP but even this early in their career, despite it being one of Raine's better performances, this is still pretty bad.
Hes never sounded good live
Raine looked displeased after they completed. Regardless, love them pre-Gravity and they were awesome in concert when I saw them.
Live just....wasnt......just, no.
Well, now we know why OLP never really broke into the US market. That performance was awful.
Seventizz I thought it was good. I’m not sure why Canadian bands couldn’t become big in the US though. The hip never did either. Same with a lot of great Canadian bands.
I mean, they had a platinum and a gold record in the US. That's not nothing.
