A Gin Blossom is an old drunk's nose. You know the old drunks with the red varicated bulbous noses? You'll see them on rubbies and in dark bars with afternoon drunks. I loved this band.

The heavier, grungy type which has the likes of Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden, then there's this type of easy-listening alternative rock. Now 2 songs embody that 2nd alternative rock type. Toad The Wet Sprocket's "All I Want", and Gin Blossoms' "Hey Jealousy. Listening to any of those 2 songs instantly flashes me back to the early 90s. Good times man. I'm so proud to be a 90s kid

As an official old fart who listened to Zep in my 73 duster, i love that 90's grunge-nirvana stuff...after the evil decade(1980's) this stuff was a welcome breath of musical air...even saw pearl jam at r.k.o. loved the 90's, was a great decade for me!!! The Blossoms are hard- core.
Seeing them live back in the day was unbelievable... lived in Tempe watch them come from nothing and get to the success they did, saw them so many times honestly can't recall how many they always played so much louder, harder and faster live than any other albums sounded like... the Tempe scene was magical these guys and all the other bands at the time would mixitup change around members just goofing off night after night playing live in the tempe bar scene

That's debatable. I listened to a lot of grunge and punk in the '90s. In the '00s I grew fond of metalcore and pop-punk, and these days, I listen to a lot of alt-rock, which is kind of a mix of all of it. Music evolves and so do the people that listen to it. If you only limit yourself to one era, you're truly missing out on a lot, mate.
Great song brings back great memories of college, parties, beer, girls, and living for the weekend. What a freaking great time for music. Feel sorry for the kids today, the rock scene is nothing like it was then. 1991 to about 1996 or so was an AMAZING time for music! But I guess like the original Jon Stewart Show all good things must end.:(
