- LIVE: Philippines and Japan Sign Historic Military Pact As South China Sea Tensions Mount
Japan and the Philippines signed a landmark military pact on Monday allowing deployment of forces on each other's soil. This comes amid China's increasingly assertive stance in the region. The Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA), the first of its kind Japan has signed in Asia, will ease the entry of equipment and troops for combat training and disaster response, smoothing military co-operation between Manila and Tokyo. "The RAA brings our defence partnership to an unprecedented height," Philippine Foreign Minister Enrique Manalo told a joint briefing after a "2-plus-2" meeting of both nations' foreign and defence ministers. The pact will take effect after being ratified by the parliaments of both countries.

The Philippines has forgotten the damage it's suffered during WW2😢
WE NEVER FORGET BUT WE HAVE ALREADY MOVED ON AND FORGIVEN SPAIN, THE U.S. AND JAPAN THAT IS WHY WE HAVE THE SHARED COMMON GOAL OF PEACE AND STABILITY HOWEVER, CHINA THE THIEF, WANTS TO BE LIKE THEM, BUT CHINA MUST KNOW THAT WE HAVE KICKED OUT SPANISH, AMERICAN AND JAPANESE COLONIZERS BEFORE, CHINA THE THIEF IS NOT AN EXCEPTION.
Pilipino we forgive but not forget just move on in the past.
China forgets what happened to Japan during World War 2
Don't forget the Rape of Nanking and the Battle of Yultong.
@@user-wz5mq7eh7v Not to be the devil's advocate but China and Japan both did terrible things. Japan is just better with how they hide it

The Philippines learned nothing from the Ukraine conflict.
In what sense?
Philippines learned that allies is very important.
So, if you learned something from the Ukraine/Russian conflict, you won't fight against a country that is forced to occupy even the EEZ of another country?
Just because you want to disassociate yourself from the big bullies doesn't mean another bully might take advantage of you. You go get a gun or learn martial arts to defend yourself however if you can't handle it you're going to need help from white hat bullies.
The filipino people learned that war is horrible. Unfortunately the politicians also learned that war is profitable. 😂🎉
