Sorry the first half of the video is a bit choppy and missing several of the catches. I thought my GoPro was on when it was not. Debated even posting, but they were biting so good on the Hybrid Hunter.
What Ib testline is best ? Just ordered my first baitcaster by lew's . Trying to figure out the right line weight. Mine is 7:5:1 ratio and medium heavy rod 7'
That’s a perfect all around rig! I run 17lb flourocarbon on this one. For flourocarbon I like 17 or 20lb. 17 is the sweet spot for me though. If you’re doing braided, 40 is an excellent weight to go with. Unless it’s a dedicated frog or punching combo, then higher. For yours I’d go 17lb flouro or 40lb braid and learn to tie a flouro/mono leader to it. Straight braid for sure works too though! You just might miss some finicky fish with it that might’ve bit on a more translucent line.

Another option is mono, it’s cheaper to learn with if you get a nasty backlash. 😂 I’d personally go with 15ish for the weight. No less than 12 on a baitcaster.
@@jibjreelharris3697 It’s a shallow diving Crankbait. It’s super buoyant though, so you can barely reel it and it barely goes under the surface on a slow retrieve. A very versatile lure.
