Very nice track, really like the last sector with the R4 curve tightening up into an S. I think you should create a double pit lane with a single analog crossover in the middle, you definitely have the room for it and it helps with racing plus looks more realistic. Maybe you can even extend the pit exit a little so you rejoin the track after the turn 1 kink. Speaking of turn 1, I would adjust the track so you maintain outside borders all around, I could see a lot of car damage in that area.
Awesome feedback. I did extend the pit originally but in came in contact with the corner behind the pit buildings.. boarders will be completed hopefully very soon and will continue them where the danger spots are. Thanks so much for the feedback
So I wanted to run counter clockwise too, with the pit facing the drivers, what I did was replace the switcher for the pit entrance to one of the "chicane" "lane narrowing" pieces. This not only allowed me to run in the direction I wanted with the pits facing me, it also lengthened the pits and made the entrance switcher way less abrupt. I can beam you photos if you hit me up.
kool , Carrera track here...running 12 volt w a collectory of vintage 60's cars....i do hav a few build vids up...RJ's scale model cars , playlist....Rock onnn Brother
Mate I wish I had a play area like yours it is awesome! The track is amazing I only discovered you two weeks ago and got myself the Carrera sets, I have always had scilextric cars and sets growing up but like the bigger Carrera setups being able to run 124 as well. I have one issue now though I have a ton of analog cars and want to run then on the Carrera, you mentioned in the video about the two different power basis is there a video on how this setup will work switching between them and what people need to do this ? There is a few videos that I found where people have modified power base setups but it seems they have bugs as well, any info will be appreciated maybe a idea for a video if you don’t already have one 🏁
G'day mate. Did you buy a digital or analogue set? If you are wanting to run both digital and analogue I simply remove the starting base and power, so essentially you need two sets, analogue and digital...swap the starting base and power supply out of your track when wanting to run the desired car,.
How do you feel about elevation changes, bridges and cross overs? You could get a little more walking space if you made a cantilevered bridge for the 2nd-to-last corner, allowing it to cross over the main straight.
I think what you did to the track where you needed access is cool as it is . It makes the track more challenging which is a good thing How long are the big straights? Oh another question, are you going to paint over the white centre lines?
Thanks legend for the feedback, the longest straight is 9 metres. Once the table is painted and fixed properly and I'm not having thoughts of changing I will paint the track...but to be honest I'm really wanting a wooden club track
If you replace the double lane change before the pits with a single lane change that leads to the pits you can use pace cars more easily. The pace car will use every lane change it can so by using a single lane change it will be forced into the pits every single time.
3/30 Esses to straighten out the last bit before the turn back? 🤔 that’s just mega. I’m glad I don’t have that much space to play with. My anxiety would be at an all time high making amendments on a daily basis 😂
@@thatslotcarguy I finished my 8 by 12 layout hanging off the table with supports so I can’t make adjustments without a complete overhaul. Keeps me from going insane 🤣
Like the variety of corners and general flow of the track - looks like it has a nice mix of speed and technical sections to it.
What a beautiful track!!!
Great stuff mate!
I love that layout to the point I would love to get a plan please. great long straights and challenging corner sections.
Let me get some details down and I will pass on to you, are you on Instagram
@@thatslotcarguy Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately not. I use only email and facebook.

Looking good, did you complete it yet?
your so lucky to have so much room ....my track is in a over 55s rabbit hutch
Luck and a little hard work 😉
What size wood are you using to make the boarders
Nice layout Mr. Slotcarguy, whjat is the overall length of the track, it looks to be about 43 meters?
Not sure but will have to measure it now because everyone is asking 😂☺️😂

This is an older track of mine, no longer up so can't measure it sorry mate
@@thatslotcarguy no worries, love the channel, keep it up.
looks really large that track. What's the size area-wise, definitely not your living room ;-)
Thanks mate.
Room size is 7.8 metres by 29 metres
wow that's enormous! Incredible real estate for German standards ;-) Have fun and enjoy that great track!
