    It's funny how the English keep their "our league is the most competitive" up, when in reality City and Liverpool dominate for years, making new point records all the time. EPL is exactly like La Liga, two clubs way ahead of everyone else. The most competitive league is Italy where you've 3 or more clubs fighting for the title and like 7 or 8 playing for the CL spots.
    And then the strongest League? Let's look at how the EPL matches up there... La Liga dominated CL wins in the last decade. Sure it was mostly Real tho. Then you look at the Euro League. The Prems big 6 continously lose to the likes of Villareal and Sevilla. So objectively, the level of football in Spain is still higher.
    The only thing the EPL is clearly the best at is marketing their league. And hell, that's important. Even I who wrote this text watch way more Prem football than Spanish or Italian. For some reason it's still more exciting. And that reason is the story that is told around it. So yeah, marketing and selling a story is crucial for the excitement around the prem and hence its success, but not the competitiveness or level of football...

    7:30 PL is no more competitive (for the top spot) than Serie A or La Liga.
    The only difference is that in the last 10 years City took the role of United but at the moment PL title is a City-Liverpool affair, and at the best it was a 3 club run with Chelsea or United. (Leicester was the odd figure)
    The same as Barcelona-Real with maybe Atletico or Inter-Milan-Juventus.
    And if we count odd wins Ligue 1 has to be the most competitive top league with Monaco and Lille wins over PSG, but nobody thinks so.

    • @kinsabony3238
      @kinsabony3238 Před rokem +2

    • @meko98743
      @meko98743 Před rokem +11

      The problem with this is it assumes that the title is the only thing to compete for. But in the PL, the prize money is so good, that teams compete for every single position on the table. Even outside of Europe, one position is worth several million pounds. Even in the "nothing to play for" spaces between 8th and 17th, there's £20 million difference between those positions.
      The reason the Premier League is so strong as a brand is that every team is strong, because the money is divided fairly. The reason Serie A, La Liga or Ligue 1 don't get as good TV deals is that the league isn't the brand. The brand is PSG, Barca, Juventus. Who wants to pay a lot of money for the rights to Cadiz vs Girona, Monza vs Cremonese, or Reims vs Ajaccio?
      I also don't know why Leicester is an "odd figure" but Lille and Monaco aren't when they've all won the league once in the past 10 years, and it's been PSG winning 8/10... meanwhile, in the last 10 years, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Leicester and Chelsea have all won the league which objectively more teams than Ligue 1.

      Wrong, Man U owners have never bailed out the club, the club would have a lot more money to spend it it wasn’t for the owners taking money out of the club for themselves. • @meko98743
      @meko98743 Před rokem +9

      Man United has consistently made more money than it's spent. The Glazers have takes well over a billion out of the club in their time. Even with the same restrictions, Man United could have spent much more than they already have.
      The PL does have FFP regulations. It's just that, because revenues are higher across the board, teams aren't in financial difficulty. FFP doesn't exist to stop teams spending money. It exists to stop them spending more than they can afford to lose and then fall into administration when debts pile up. One season in the Premier League gets well over £100 million in revenue so when you see teams spending £100 million when they come up, it's not spending beyond their means. It is their means.
      Also... those la liga clubs make a lot of their profit selling to PL clubs. If PL clubs were more restricted, it would hurt the selling teams which rely on player sales every year.

    Well better late than never to explain the issues affecting la liga. Especially the unnecessarily strict financial restrictions. All Spanish clubs are selling clubs now and only Barca and real madrid can manage to hold ontotheir best players and only just. Barca couldn’t keep Messi because they’d have needed to sell Pedri and probably other valuable players for la liga to allow him to be registered even with a 50% pay cut.
    By the way I don’t think this video mentioned specifically that while teams in other leagues were given some leeway with ffp when the pandemic wrecked everything la liga did not offer any such relief. Tebas will probably point to real madrid winning last season’s champions league to say Spanish football is still as strong as ever but that only papers over the cracks. The teams below Barca are significantly weaker due to the players they’ve had to shed to comply with the financial restrictions. Valencia would have held onto Ferran Torres as long as possible to sell him at a higher price the way they used to ten years ago. Tebas doesn’t seem to realize that if this continues the competiveness of the league will go down and la liga’s bargaining position when renewing their broadcasting deal. Tebas should be thanking his stars that Laporta is finding ways to strengthen the team. If he sold off all Barca’s best players and just sent out a team of inexperienced kids from Barca B to save money then real would be as dominant as Bayern and PSG with Atletico potentially the best of the rest. La liga teams produce players with excellent techno skill that can be playing at the highest level. La Liga teams should be the ones selling for record prices. But they can’t do that if they’re forced to sell by the league. Premier league clubs have already been taking advantage of that.

      for example, a mid-table side like Aston villa forcing a champions league level side in Sevilla to sell one of their prized possessions in Diego Carlos for pennies on the pound if everyone else pretends to be blind most la Liga fans see the deterioration, not as a problem caused by its top clubs refusing to sell their profitable enterprises for pennies cause the leagues says so but because the league has had to choose between being stubborn and being reasonable and have chosen the former.

      @@arinzeogbodo5828 exactly. When teams like Sevilla who were previously making big profits off their player sales are forced to sell prized assets for pennies in the pound it’s a symptom of a bigger problem.
      That same purchasing club - Aston Villa managed to bully a five time champions league winner Barca into accepting half the agreed fee to make Coutinho’s succesful loan move permanent. Fans in England would applaud that as a tidy piece of business but for fans of Barca and Spanish football it represents a huge failure of financial responsibility as far as looking after the best interests of the league. Villa knew Barca were desperate to get Coutinho off the books and had no leverage to refuse their counter offer. Obviously when Coutinho was signed in 2018 was a rip off and not a player Barca needed and during his time Barca declined massively during a period of mismanagement but la liga’s I’ll thought out financial restrictions have only served to weaken real madrids competitors and weaken the league overall which hurts the league overall.

Remember, the money is in the international viewers, not the local ones. the reason La Liga etc struggle is because unless you speak Spanish or German etc you wont have the full viewing experience and with interviews / conferences conducted in their natice language and needing a translator for english, these leagues failed to gain massive adoption internationally. Thank you for saying that. The Premier League and the English people spend most of their time patting themselves on the back. And this isnt to say that their football isnt great… It might be the best but that is subjective to the individual. However… La Liga is, as you said, not financed by anything else but football and a small amount of outside investment (with what Barca sold off this Summer, some of which can be bought back, they are only giving up around 5 to 10% of their TOTAL revenue for a set mount of years)… Whereas anyone from the Glazers to Putin’s stooge to oil states can buy into EPL teams… and once agin I am not against that because business is business but for leagues like them to crow about how wonderful they are while attacking La Liga is what upsets me. La Liga also has a tight set of FFP rules which Javier Tebas (he’s a load) put into place where before the season a team has to prove it can pay for it’s players, etc… Where all the other top 5 Euro leagues are only concerned if a team can pay at the end of the season and then they let them carry some debt. So when teams like Barca have 7 unregistered players it isnt only because of the stupidity of the Bartomeu regime (and the financial mess they left Barca in) it’s because of the tight rules that only La Liga has… and when Barca had all those unregistered players the rest of La Lig had a total of 46 unregistered players for the same reasons Barca did. But people attacked Barca and not the system… and that system while very tight will allow for better finances down the road for the whole league (barring another pandemic, natural disasters or someone embezzling tons of cash). But videos like this love to show their bigotry towards La Liga/ Barca, etc while propping up their own domestic league. Look at Man United… Now there’s a car wreck. Barca had one terrible half season last year and a mediocre 2nd half and the English press wrote them off for a generation. Meanwhile United has been a slow motion car wreck for a decade but people still act like it’s gonna be Fergie time. I watch these silly videos to laugh because they show the true colors of the channel makers. I love both the Premier League and La Liga. I am ambidextrous like that. #ViscaBarca 💙❤️⚽️🍄

    Im sure even if we had no money and no markets . We would still have so much to either choose to argue about or discuss hopefully peacefully . With some tolerance of alternative perspectives or ideas allowing for nuance and differences and still finding tons and tons of common ground between one another so easily we are all the same race . I don’t see colour . Do you? Lol i mean i do see it but you know what i mean unless you’re still stuck up on race fighting .. lets move forward your all manipulated into hating each other lets .. not be tricked by anyone to hatred and divide and punishment. Lets not allow ourselves to be pushed around and policed and told we can or cant say certain taboo things about authoritarianism or power and control or criticism and free speech and some sympathy and a basic understanding and hopefully always grows to more . For and from everyone . Love . Is the cure . Love is the all truth . And a certain humility to admit to alll these topics to discuss to not fear them away 😓 i miss and love you all i hope to reconnect on better terms and better days and wish prosperity to you all and if that isn’t good well i wish we all end up somewhere nice after here or not we got an okay ride some of us most of us . Maybe perhaps all of us but it’s definitely debatable. When baby’s die of diseases and more . I hurt beyond belief and try to comprehend what’s happening but its hard when the youth .. are hurting .. that much its hard to cope and fathom personally when i see things along those lines of suffering and pain or death even way to young any age . But especially a child any child any baby 😓 my soul aches for those children very so .. i don’t put them at a higher priority but i do view them equal so thats why i as a body would be selfish to not feel for any loss of life . Im lucky to still be breathing .. and not in to much pain or distress but i am a slave definitely. Thats my only crutch wage slavery to governance and markets and financial control policy and policing . You have no free will you have no control or chance at making any real change in life cause your monopolies of companies that pretend to use nationalism to control you puppets you have no clue whats going on or how to have courage to criticize authority and to be able to think for yourself . And not in fear . They brainwash you all through media and presentation they manipulate and lie and exploit people and you’ll happily come right back trusting cause you’re all so far gone and abused and neglected and bullied and pushed way to hard with force to become a wage slave you will have a form of stock home syndrome denial . Its understanding. But sad to see not many can seemingly or are willing to admit and wake up from not questioning authority and all forms of authoritarianism. the clueless people are sheep . The ones willing to at least demand answers and have some ok questions.. well those are the ones who seek the truth the rest of you just obey like puppets and take whatever you get I’m not saying fight everyone and yell at everyone who disagree’s with you no no no I’m just saying we have to have the ability to disagree and still be able to discuss things peacefully but we have to many people married to there ideas they cannot allow themselves humility to admit the could be wrong and to truly believe in that scientific statement is let the truth speak for itself don’t have your biases or predictions be your defining belief allow for new ideas and be open minded to nuance . Doesn’t mean you gotta agree with everyone but also doesn’t mean to be some stubborn poop know it all either :) have a good day everyone. Anyone who bothered to read this crud or maybe its not crud to someone but to me it is cause i try to preach this everyday to my fam or friends and everyone seems to just neglect and fear the conversation most conversations and its really getting to scary times when we are all afraid to open up and talk to each other when we have so much ego and walls and barriers and fears preventing us from being honest with ourselves and each other
