I love that you don't play by all the "rules", that you don't constantly go out and buy something totally different every few months and that you are willing to add color and make your home cozy. I love your cozy kitchen, the patio is to DIE for! I've been so disappointed in many of the CZcamsrs I have followed for years who seem to be decorating in a way that is so planned. They look like model homes. Not much warmth. But because I love the person, I continue to watch and shake my head the entire time. My taste is not really like many people I know. I adore colonial and the old sea captain's home look. So I really don't have much room to judge but I know what I like and I like what you are doing in your new home. I went to an art supply store and bought gold poster boards cut and tacked to back of my sideboard you could use other colors or mirrors It lightens up the whole effect try it it’s easy

I love the new layout, Hollie! I used to LOVE moving my furniture around...all the time. However, this new (to us) home we've been in the past six years, has floor to almost ceiling windows all along the back of the home and it makes it impossible to move things around, much less have a lot of furniture. Plus I'm 61 now and the older I get, the more comfortable I am with things not changing too much. lol. Your dining room is beautiful though and as usual, you have made it very inviting for all your guests! I hope you have a blessed week!
